Titans: The Revised Adventures RP

Ashton had had the sense to tell Starfire not to use her powers of flight, but he hadn't expected her to have superstrength too. That complicated things, and he hoped the coach didn't notice. On the other hand, it made her a perfect addition to the Titans. He pulled out a small communication device, and spoke quietly into it. "Bladesman to Robin. If you're not too busy, I may have found us a new recruit. She's got super strength and can fly. She's a little naive, but I think we can help that. Also, if you see him, say hi to my dad for me."

Angel's eyes widened as Star passed her with ease, giving a slight laugh and hurrying up herself. "No challenge? Dang, gal... ya could've gone a bit slower t' make me feel better..."
She reached up when she finally hit the top, slapping the little red flag and dropping down onto the mat below before glancing to the coach. "Ey Coach! I think Red 'n' I got a little... competition goin' here... Mind if we keep it goin'?"

Coach laughed, giving her a thumbs up. "Whatever encourages you, girls!"

Angel smirked to Star, then ot one of the basketball hoops on the other side of the gym. "Alright then.. while we're waitin' fer the pullbars t' open up... What d' y' say to a game of horse?"

"No challenge? Dang, gal... ya could've gone a bit slower t' make me feel better..."

Angel said as she came up level with Starfire. She slapped what appeared to be a red flag and headed back down. Starfire followed suit, and soon we were both on the ground.

"I am sorry for making you feel bad. I did not know doing well would be a bad thing."

Angel shrugged and had a grin on her face.

"Ey Coach! I think Red 'n' I got a little... competition goin' here... Mind if we keep it goin'?"

Starfire glanced over at the woman with the whistle from before.

"Whatever encourages you, girls!" she said.

"Alright then.. while we're waitin' fer the pullbars t' open up... What d' y' say to a game of horse?"

"We are to play games then? Then we shall have lots of fun!" She smiled. "But why does it involve horses? I do not see any around the gym for us to use." But Angel had headed off towards the hoop and had already acquired a basketball to use.

Angelique laughed, spinning the ball on her finger with perfect balance. "If they had real horses here, I wouldn't be inside... Take it y've never played it b'fore. It's not that hard. M' uncle and I play it all the time. Y' just spell out Horse with every miss of the basket... See, y' take a shot... and if y' miss, you get an H... then an O for the next miss... and if you miss 5 times, you've spelled Horse and lose. The hard part of the game is, ya gotta shoot from where ever the other person made it."
She stepped back to the line, taking her shot without lining it up- and sunk it perfectly. "No H for me. Now its your turn. Just stand at the line 'n' take yer shot."
She handed Starfire the ball, glancing over her shoulder to see Ashton talking to.. his CD player? Heh- She yelled at broken things too.

Ghost said:
Ghost turned slowly to face this new annoyance. Hair that stuck up like black fire, and a costume that was so loud that it almost hurt Ghost's ears. There was a girl too. Dark, almost forbodding. There was something very, very dangerous in the eyes underneath that dark hood. She had the light of spirit world around her. Ghost actually felt a little uncomfortable at the sight of her. He shook it off quickly enough. Whoever scary girl was, he'd deal with her after the Bird.

Furrowing his brow slightly, Ghost forced the temperature down a few more degrees to put a chill in Birdboy's bones. Taking a step towards him Ghost addressed the Boy Wonder.

"Long way from Gotham aren't we? And how in the world do you intend to sneak up on anyone wearing that?" He smirked under his collar, slipping his hands out of his pockets as he walked calmly towards Robin.

"This door won't open, and the item I'm here for is right behind it. I don't suppose you'd use one of your little gadjets to open it for me would you?" Ghost's hand rose slowly out of his pockets, his palms facing up.

"If not, I guess you'll have to slap the cuffs on and take me to jail" Ghost raised his middle finger slowly, pushing the bridge of his glasses up slightly.

Robin eyed him suspiciously. He figured the thief was trying to make him let his guard down, but he held on to the staff tightly. Finally, he spoke. “What’s inside that is so valuable to you?” he said, watching the man slide his sunglasses up his nose. “And why do you want it?”

OOC: I gotta go, I'll be back in three hours and posts again, only longer.

Raven hung back, watching as the two seemed to be sizing each other up, doing the same herself for both of them.
Their intruder was obviously the source of the temperature drop, the room absolutely frigid. She tugged her cloak a bit tighter, a slight frown on her face. "To be honest, Robin...I don't care what's in the vault. All I care about... is that he keeps out of it," she said flatly, rising up once again as the black clouds returned to her hands.

Starfire watched intently as Angel explained the game to her and then looked on as she tossed her first basket and it landed in the net. Grabbing the ball she tossed it to Starfire.

"No H for me. Now its your turn. Just stand at the line 'n' take yer shot."

"I will try." Walking over to the spot that Angel shot from, Starfire held the ball in her hands and looked intently at the hoop. She tried throwing it like her friend had, but well... she didn't. It didn't land perfectly in the net, instead it thudded against the plastic backboard and placed a huge dent in it before thunking to the floor.

"Oh I am sorry! I did not mean to damage it." Starfire appologized as the coach ran up and found out what happened.

Angel stifled a laugh, trying to hold it back even more as the coach came over, a bewildered look on her face. "How in the WORLD did you manage to dent it?," Coach asked, peering up at the board with confused eyes.

"Ah- wild ball, coach." Angel shrugged, then finally let her laugh out as coach walked away. "You got some arm, there, Star..." She glanced over her shoulder, checking to see where the rest of the class was. "Yer... different, aren't ya?," She said softly to Starfire as she picked up the ball, resting her left palm on top of it. "So'm I." As she spoke, a reddish glow circled the ball, a soft high whistling noise coming from the airhole on it. "I can charge the atoms in it... makin' it pretty much a wild a-bomb. I can control it pretty good now..." She took her hand away, the glow and whistle stopping before she tossed the ball over her shoulder, making another perfect basket. She grinned, pointing to the basket as she continued to face Starfire. "That's another part of m' gifts. I can't miss anythin' I want to hit."

"Ah- wild ball, coach." Angel explained and the coach bewildered walk back to where she was.

"You got some arm, there, Star..." Angel said before looking around. "Yer... different, aren't ya?," And she picked up the basketball letting her palm rest on it.

"So'm I." she added ominously. With that she demonstrated her abilities, and a red glow encircled the basketball, a noise eminating from the airhole, not loud but loud enough for Starfire to hear. Starfire smiled as her friend gave her a tiny show of her powers.

"Oh you are amazing! I was told there were some people here with powers, but I had not seen anyone else demonstrate."

"I can charge the atoms in it... makin' it pretty much a wild a-bomb. I can control it pretty good now..." Angel tossed the ball over her shoulder and it landed perfectly in the hoop again. Pointing to the net she added: "That's another part of m' gifts. I can't miss anythin' I want to hit."

Excited, Starfire would probably have shown her own talents, but she would not have been as subtle as Angel had been. "I would very much like to show you what I can do! But... Ashton has told me that it would be a bad idea." She added.

Angel smiled with a slight blush as Starfire praised her for her powers. "Thanks. Most people think of me as... a freak, er just weird..."
She gave her a confused look as she spoke of Ashton. He knew about Starfire having powers too? "So- d' you mean that Ashton's... special too?" She glanced over to him, seeing him holding that player still, though he wasn't grumbling at it anymore. "An' here I thought I was the odd one out... Wonder if there's more of us runnin' round this school...?"

"Thanks. Most people think of me as... a freak, er just weird..."

"Oh! I do not think of you as a freak. Not at all." Starfire commented. But when Star had mentioned Ashton, Angel gave her a puzzled look.

"So- d' you mean that Ashton's... special too?"

"You did not know?" Starfire said and then kind of looked sort of uneasy. "Oh! I am sorry, maybe he didn't want anyone to know. I do hope I can still be his friend, I don't have that many here." She finished.

Angel glanced back over at Ashton,"An' here I thought I was the odd one out... Wonder if there's more of us runnin' round this school...?"

Starfire glanced outside. "There is no one outside that is running."

Angel felt bad that she had asked as she saw the look on Starfire's face. "Its safe with me, I promise. As is yours, Star... I won't tell a soul." She placed a hand against her own chest. "I swear."
Absently, she glanced out the window as well, then paused. "Wait. No- no, I mean... if there's others like us. With gifts and everythin'."

"Its safe with me, I promise. As is yours, Star... I won't tell a soul." Angel placed her hand against her chest and smiled. "I swear."

Starfire smiled at her. And after her last comment Angel glanced outside and back in.

"Wait. No- no, I mean... if there's others like us. With gifts and everythin'."

Starfire nodded and giggled. "I am just glad that I am not... a freak, as you say. I would not want to be made fun of."

"It ain't fun....," Angel agreed, giving a slight frown. She glanced up as the bell rang, the end of class coming sooner than she expected. They had been talking for some time!
"Only one more class," She laughed, going to grab her bag. "What d' you say we catch up after school? I'd love t' see what y' can do, Star..."

"It ain't fun....," Within a few moments the loud bell rung and all the students began to leave the gym. "Only one more class," Angel said as she grabbed her bag. "What d' you say we catch up after school? I'd love t' see what y' can do, Star..."

"I would be honored to demonstrate to you!" Starfire responded in her more than cheery tone. She smiled at Ashton as he made his way back over to her and Angel.

"Ashton, I am pleased to see you again. This is Angel! We have played HORSE without the horses and she is very good at it."

Ashton raised an eyebrow, listening, having pocketed his communicator. He stood up slowly, and bowed to the new person. "I'm Ashton Drake. How do you do?"

Angel grinned, nodding to him. "Nice to meet ya, Ashton... Star's pretty good at basketball. Er- well, at least, throwin' it..." She was still giggling at Star's comment on the game, shrugging. "Uh.. Yeah, I'm... pretty good at it." She pitched her bag over her shoulder, having taken her cards out and began shuffling them once more- a nervous habit she had.

Starfire watched as Ashton had introduced himself, and as Angel had done so in return, but she tilted her head slightly as Angel took out playing cards. She cheered up at any rate.

"You are very good at playing games! But I do not believe we are to play games all day. I did not have much fun at my last class, so are we really to go off to another one? I would much rather go outside and learn out there." Starfire pointed out the doors and towards the city.

"There are more people to learn from there, are there not, Ashton?" She asked.

Ashton grinned at the statement. He shook his head, then shouldered his backpack. "There's a lot of stuff at the school. They teach here, but they teach from human knowledge."

"Oh, then I suppose that I can learn a good deal here then." She nodded as she finished. "I do not suppose that either of you have... Health class? I do not know what that is about, and I do not know where to go."

Angel, however, grinned and gave a quick guesture towards Starfire. "I like her way of thinkin'," She laughed, nodding to her. "Skippin' last class sounds good t' me! I was plannin' t' nap it out anyway."
She slipped her cards into her pocket, raising an eyebrow to Ashton. "Aw, c'mon. We're both new t' the area... don't ya want t' be givin' us a tour of the town? Besides, Star was gon' show me- " She paused, realizing that Ashton didn't know SHE knew. "A.... trick she can do."

Ashton smiled. "I took it my first year. Basically, it covers the human body, germs, sexual education, and a few other things." Ashton shrugged, then raised an eyebrow. He followed slowly. "I suppose I could, I don't have much else to do."

"I like her way of thinkin'," Angel piped up and laughed. "Skippin' last class sounds good t' me! I was plannin' t' nap it out anyway."

Starfire watched as Angel put her cards away and looked to Ashton for approval, to which she recieved none.

"Aw, c'mon. We're both new t' the area... don't ya want t' be givin' us a tour of the town? Besides, Star was gon' show me- A.... trick she can do." she managed to let the last part out.

"Trick? I do not know any..." but Angel had nudged her slightly, and before Starfire could inquire as to why she did that Angel had already started walking out towards the door.

"Are we to go to class then?" Starfire asked

"Ferget class, Red. Think Ashton here's gon' give us the grand tour." Angel smirked, glancing around before opening the door outside.
"So... where we startin' at, Ashton?"
