Titans: The Revised Adventures RP

"Remember the guy who ran out? He's, for lack of a better expression, our leader. We fight crime, take on bad guys. We use our talents for good. It isn't easy, but we like to think we're cleaning up the city, maybe even the world."

"Oh, then you are law abiding citizens. That is very good to hear. I would very much like to help you. But isn't this a big world? I haven't seen all of it yet but I would love to."

"You should eat. School takes a lot out of you."

Starfire realized she was hungry but in no way was she tired.

"I would very much like to eat. But I'll need to get some food, for I have none with me. And I am fairly sure this book will not suffice."

Ashton grinned yet again. He took a sip of his drink. "All you have to do is go through the line, and pay for your meal. You pick up what you want, and then come back here with the tray."

"All you have to do is go through the line, and pay for your meal. You pick up what you want, and then come back here with the tray. We'll let him stew for a bit. He's not used to being shot down like that."

"Ok, but I do not have very little on me to pay for food." with that Starfire reached into her pocket and pulled out a single bill. "I do not have very much at all."

Ashton thought for a moment, then pulled out his wallet, and pulled out a ten dollar bill. "Use this. They really should use a credit system instead. It works better."

He smiled, then put his wallet back away, handing her the ten. "I recommend staying away from the chili. Go for the pizza, it's the best thing there."

Ashton grabbed his wallet and handed me a single 10 dollar bill.

"Use this. They really should use a credit system instead. It works better. I recommend staying away from the chili. Go for the pizza, it's the best thing there."

I smiled brightly as he offered me some money and suggestions as to what I should eat.

"I will feast on pizza then!"
I bowed slightly to him. "Have you eaten your fill yet?"

Ashton smiled. He had already finished his lunch, but he could use something to drink. "I could use another bottle of orange juice."

"I could use another bottle of orange juice."

Starfire nodded at him and she looked to where the food line would be. She proceeded to move away from the table and stopped where a lot of people were standing.

"I don't know where we are to start."

Ashton grinned, then stood up, and walked over to the girl, and motioned for her to follow him. He stood at the end of the line, then went through the line, letting her follow him. He picked up a bottle of juice, and almost as an afterthought, grabbed a slice of pizza himself. He paid for his, then waited for her.

Ashton pointed for Starfire to stand at one end of the line. It moved fairly fast, or so it seemed like that to her, and before she knew it Ashton was done and paid for. It was her turn and she enthusiastically ordered pizza, half surprising the worker, and then proceeded to pay the cashier. She emerged to see Ashton standing there smiling.

"I ordered the food like you suggested. Now we can eat." She smiled.

Ashton nodded, and walked back to the table, sitting down and starting to eat the pizza. He smiled, looking at her. "You know, maybe I should try to set you up with Dick. It might change his luck with women."

Angelique wasn't really to settle down for lunch... Instead, she was walking the halls of the school, nibbling on an apple as she peeked into some of the empty classrooms. She frowned, glancing down a few of the hallways as she walked. "Now where in th' heck would I find the library in this danged school...?," She grumbled, shaking her head before taking another bite. "I shoulda told them I wanted the tour first when I started here..."

OOC: Okay, Robin was supposed to run out right after Raven as was discussed with her via PM, but others posted me not running out before I had a chance to post. Dragon has edited his posts accordingly, and I ask Empress to do the same :).

Dick smiled as he looked at the goth girl. She was a looker, but not really his type. However, he figured he’d chat her up anyway. Maybe get a bit more comfortable around talking to women. However, just as quickly as their conversation had begun, it ended with the broadcast of a nearby radio about some sort of disturbance at S.T.A.R.R. Labs.

Rachel/Raven said:
“I just remembered. I did get it written down. I just left it in my locker... I should probably get to the library and finish that up before class.” She grabbed her bag, getting up quickly from the table. “See you in class, Dick.”

“You, too,” he said with a quick smile, and as soon as the girl left the room, he jumped up and headed out a different door, nodding to Ashton. Slipping into the bathrooms, Dick jumped out the window and hid behind some thick trees by the school. He reached into his bookbag and opened a secret compartment, where his Robin suit sat, folded in a special airtight bag. He quickly changed, slapped on his eyemask, hid his bag in a tree, and ran into an alleyway. He flipped open his watch cover and pressed a button, which turned his Harley invisible and made it come to him. When he heard it roll into the alley, he removed the cloaking barrier and pressed a different button, which turned the normal colors to match Robin’s costume. He mounted, and zoomed off to the labs.

“The cops are so slow in this city...” he said as he dismounted his bike and entered the building, pulling out a short steel rod from his utility belt. With a flick of the wrist, the rod sprung out from both ends, forming a long staff. Gripping it tightly, Robin made his way past the front doors.

Raven perched herself atop the building as she landed, her deep blue cape fluttering around her body as she walked to the roof entrance. "Seems someone in there's having fun with the temperature..," She muttered to herself, feeling an incredibly cold rush from the door. She pointed at the door, a black cloud seeming to cover it before flinging open with a second guesture. She floated herself off frm the ground a bit, not wanting the unexpected visitor in the labs to know she was there- yet.
She worked her way to the bottom floor, using the elevator shaft as a hidden tunnel. Best to start at the bottom and work her way up.. Less chance of losing him that way. She paused as someone came through the doors, readying to use her powers once more as she stod before the elevator doors.

“You must be new in town,” Robin said as he saw someone in a dark blue cloak, standing in a defensive position upon seeing him. “So I’ll give you a warning -- I’m Robin, leader of the Teen Titans, and we do not tolerate crime in our city. You don’t want any of this, so just turn yourself in now.” he watched her suspiciously, waiting for her reaction.

Reikka favored the class and the instructor with a bored glance before joining Di with a matching roll of her eyes. "I don't know or maybe he's a rare species that we call dipshits. Or rather sloths...I've never seen a more lazier teacher then this one here."

Reikka ignored the video for the most part as most of the class did and turned to address Di. "And I'm doing fine by the way... Other than the usual annoyances of the day. How have you been?" she offered flipping her hair over her shoulder.

"Nah. I don't think he's lazy.... He's the band director, too, and contest is coming up. Marching contest - always the worst. Try marching with a 70 pound drum strapped to your chest in 110* weather with a wool suit on and a hat so far down in front of your eyes you can't see your own hands, let alone the person in front of you. Then try directing a band full of 75 idiots like that." Di laughed, knowing that only the band nerds understood really, and quickly slipped into another line of conversation.

Chidingly in response to Reikka's question, Di threw it in just for shock's sake. "And how have I been? Great, how else could a superhero who fights city crime daily possible be?" She laughed, elbowed the girl a little as if to make fun of the whole idea, but watched her reaction carefully.... If it was true what they said about her, that if you upset her she could burn you to a crisp, just like she'd done the gym a while back, Di certainly didn't want to be on the receiving end of that sort of wrath. Yet, again, she could be an asset.... "So? Are you a good witch, or a bad witch?" She snorted at her lame movie reference as she waited to hear whether Reikka preferred stopping cheaters, or cheating.

We both sat down and started eating. Starfire found the pizza quite different from anything she had eaten, but she scarfed it down with delight.

"This is very good. I should like more pizza from now on."

Ashton piped up, "You know, maybe I should try to set you up with Dick. It might change his luck with women."

"You must explain, why set up and why his luck should change? And why did he leave so suddenly? He did not finish his meal. And he did not eat pizza!"

Ghost moved effortlessly through the upper walls of S.T.A.R.R. Lab's R&D division. Fantastic futuristic technology surrounded him in every direction. Advanced robotics, nanotechnology, energy weapons, and all manner of devices that boggeled the imagination.

"It's like George Lucas threw up in here" He muttered to himself as he phased through a thick steel wall into the next room. The alarms were sounding, and people were panicking, which meant that the city's resident heros would be on the scene soon enough. Had this been any other day, Ghost could've simply gone invisable, phased through the walls, taken what he needed and been gone. But the situation was what it was and he would have to make due. Fortunatly the security personel had finally decided to leave this intruder alone, allowing him free reign of the entire lab.

Finally he approched the vault where his target was being kept. Ghost allowed himself a small smile of satisfaction under the high coller of his coat. Running a hand down the smooth steel, Ghost prepared to phase through the thick barrier. A crackle of energy surrounded the door, causing him to recoil in suprise.

"Hmmm...intresting" He mused. He had underestimated S.T.A.R.R's defenses. Other measures would have to be taken. Shifting back to his visable form, Ghost pushed the bridge of his sunglasses up his nose and studied the imposing door. Odds were that whatever barrier was keeping him from phasing through the door surrounded the entire vault. He would have to get in the conventional way.

"I hate the conventional way" Ghost groaned.

Ashton grinned at her statement, then again at her questions. "Dick had to go on duty. I would myself, but I figure you need a guide right now. Besides, if he needs me, all he has to do is a push a button on his communicator. He's a bit unusual. Even after all this time, there are times when he wants to work alone. It's one of his personality flaws. And by setting you up with him, I meant on a date." He finished his slice of pizza, then started sipping at his juice. He suddenly wondered where she lived, and the thought that she might need a place to stay crossed his mind.

Reikka arched a brow all the talk about superheroes, Teen Titans and weapon designs was starting to annoy her... or rather it peeked her interest. "Superhero eh? Well I fight crime of the low level kind...the bits and pieces of riftraft that give us students guff. Student council is a motha." she commented yawning boredly.

At Di's next question Reikka was picking up on a vibe some undertoned quest so she answered. "I'm a good witch unless provoked. Other than that I suppose I can help those that are in need... for a price." she smirked at the last comment wondering how that would be taken.

"I understand. I don't see though why anyone would want to work alone. I am glad to have made new friends, so maybe Dick needs to make some new friends too. And I have only been on a few dates and they were not good."

Starfire finished her pizza and stood up from her chair.

"So what are we to do now, Ashton? You must show me everything! I want to learn more about this city" She beamed a smile.

Ashton thought for a moment. He only had one class that day, so he could technically go home. He smiled. "What classes do you have? I might be able to show you where they are."

"Well, I have lunch now. But we are already eating. Maybe this document they gave me can help you."
With that Starfire handed Ashton the slip of paper that had a few classes and rooms on it.

Ashton looked over her class schedule, and smiled. She had some really easy classes, which would be good for her. Funny they didn't put her in English though. "Well, let's see. History will be a good class, though the stuff tends to be dry. The teachers here are good, though, so you might get something out of it. Art is only as good as the students in it. And math is pretty easy around here."

"I am good at history! And if the teachers know much then I shall indeed learn more." Starfire giggled slightly.

"Ashton, please show me where... this class is" She leaned over his shoulder and pointed to the Gym class.

"And what is gym?"

Ashton grinned. "Gym is a generic term for Physical Education. Sports, and such. My suggestion is when they have you sign up for a specific lesson, go for swimming if you can. The rest of the sports suck. The gym is actually that big open two floored area next to the cafeteria."
