Titans: The Revised Adventures RP

Ashton grinned at her unfamiliarity with the term. "For years, a shadow has roamed the streets of Gotham City at night. Cloaked in the raiments of a bat, he fights crime, because his family was murdered by a petty thief. They call him The Batman, the Dark Knight, and many other names. He's intense beyond belief. Robin used to be his sidekick. I don't know the details, but Robin left him."

Roy was watching this girl. She was good. This Reikka could really ride her bike. made him think if she cornered that well somewhere else. She took off again as her bike found some more power. Roy sped up watching that skirt flap.

He tried to stay behind that ass just calling but he wanted to win. Not just let her. The turn was coming. Monmarch. Roy almost took out a table on the corner as he jumped the Sidewalk and sped off. Taking the turn and accelerating. It was a hard trick but he had learned well. Now just four blocks. At this speed that wouldn't take long.

"Looks like we're gonna win babe."

Di had to hold her breath as Roy took her through the flip. It was exciting, but unexpected, and she wasn't really much of one for flying anyhow.

At his abrupt turn and announcement that it seemed they would win, she squeezed his body tighter - if it were possible, she'd not loosened her grip since the surprise flip - and laughed aloud. She momentarily pondered the fact, hoping that Reikka wasn't a sore loser. That'd not be good.

One way or the other, Roy wasn't admitting any special abilities. But then, Robin didn't have any and he'd mentioned they were similar... and anyway, if he did or didn't no longer mattered. He was a terrific shot and would do the team good.
She looked around as they approached their destination. She didn't see Reikka, but that didn't mean the girl wasn't already there and hiding or something. They stopped and removed their helmets, both of them looking around for the other member of their trio. Di still felt the rush of the race, and not seeing Reikka she brushed it away. Either she'd show in a minute, or they'd go inside and find her mildly sipping her drink.
For now, her blood was pumping too quickly through her veins to not get out some of the extra energy. She grabbed Roy quickly, as she'd done Reikka before, and pulled him close for a quick, energy-filled kiss.

"WOW! That was some ride!"

Roy felt Di Squeeze him closer as they passed the turn and went thorugh. They pulled to a stop in front of the second cup and he skidded. Winning. He didn't see Reikka anywhere but she must be there soon.

They both stepped off and he took her helmet. Moments later she was kissing him. Hard. He let the helmets fall and kissed back.

His hands roamed over her back, But kept polite for a moment. However when it seemed she had no lack of energy for this kiss, He groped her butt. Nice and firm. He grinned a little deeper in the kiss.

Reikka had lost them on the stretch. She hadn't meant to but shit happens. She knew where they were headed so took her time getting there. She wouldn't be able to catch up and winning wasn't everything in life. Sometimes you just gotta cruse through life.

As she came up the way she noted the two of them locking lips. A smirk came to her helmeted face as she sped up. Reaching top speeds she gunned it as their kissing forms seemed to grow closer right before her eyes.

As her ride's engine would be heard coming up the way, then speed of which she was travelling seen in the distance as her bike got closer and closer. She leveled on the brakes turning her bike to the side and skidding dangerously to a halt right in front of the too. She whipped off her helmet letting her hair fall slowly down her back. The wind kicked up blowing her hair in front of her instead to which she winked.

"Guess I loss..." she said and hopped off her bike after turning it off. Not waiting for them she went inside the cafe to get herself a frappacino...hot coffee was just out of the question after a ride like that.

“Yep,” said Robin, and Starfire landed. They rushed her into the ER, and luckily it was a slow day; she was seen within a few minutes, and admitted to the hospital. Afterwards, Robin and Starfire walked back outside. “Shall we go to my apartment and meet the others?”

They flew back over the city, and to Viva Tower Apartments, Dick’s place, where they met with the others.

OOC: Short post, buy I kept falling asleep while writing it, so I’m done posting till tomorrow, lol.

Roy looked up from the kiss with Di. Reikka had stopped mere inches from them. He smiled at her. A cocky grin. Her hair blew in the wind. It was an amazing job really. Her hair was gorgeous. And the Purple on Di was good too.

"I guess you did. That mean you kiss the winner? Or just the coffee? C'mon this place does some killer Machiattos."

Roy led Di inside the coffee shop and had a brief twinge. He remembered the last time he had walked in here with a girl. well it ended well he supposed. But he was seriously wondering how she was doing. He shook his head as he got up to the counter to order.

"Machiatto lots of whipped cream. What do you two want? My treat."

"Strawberries and Cream Frappacino, govna..." she said with a wink and went to go find them a table. She plopped down chair turned backwards her sitting astride it as she strummed her fingers impatiently on the table. Yeah she was miffed for losing but she had played it off well enough. But this Roy guy was irritating for some reason. He had just met them and was already locking lips with Di... Sighing she propped herself on her elbow waiting for the drinks to arrive.

Angel listened as he explained, nodding slowly. "So that's where he learned t' fight like that...?" She gave a low whistle. "Batman- Dark Knight... All mysterious-like.. Must be where Robin picked that up, too, huh?"She shivered. "I dunno- somethin' 'bout him... and Raven... the both of 'em just have this... dark feel about 'em. Gives me the willies a bit."

Ashton grinned widely. "Yeah. There are things about him that even I don't know, and we've been in action for about two months. I live by the policy DADT."

Roy brought the drinks to the table Riekka had picked. He set her drink down and let his hands run over her shoulder.

"Hey Rei (RAY). why don't you come sit over here with us on the bench. Lots of room. And we could talk get a little more friendly. Gotta trust each other as Teamates in this little club Di's been talking about."

He let his hand roam over Di's thigh under the table, squeezing it tightly.

"C'mon I bet there's lots to talk about. Either of you girls have a job outside class. Y'know make some money or something. Live alone? Have a man?"

Reikka arched a brow remaining where she sat as the playboy began to speak, trying to spit game. She couldn't help the smile that came to her lips, a knowing one that she hit well as she sipped from her drink. At the mention of a nickname she growled, turning crimson eyes to Roy. "Reikka. Not Rei..." she spoke between seething. "And I'm not a team player in case you hadn't noticed. I play by my own rules, thank you. Saves lives that way." she didn't go into further detail ignoring most of what else he had to say while enjoying her frappacino.

She visible simmered down as he asked more personal questions she figured she could be kind enough to answer a few. "I don't work, and got my own place. 'Sides daddy is all the man I'll ever need, he pays all my bills and gets me whatever I want. After all he's rich." she said with a slight smirk. Most guys found that stuck up, she wondered what he would think.

He took a sip. Lickd some cream into his mouth. Almost suggestively, As he took his hand higher Up Di's thigh.

"Hmm. Daddy does. And you let him do everything for you. I'm sure that you're still missing something in your life. But we'll go into that No teamwork. Why such a loner?"

Roy took a small sip of his drink.

"Don't you like people?"

A little daddy fixated. No real matter. He was a wealthy brat too before. It really made not one whit of difference. Though now he wondered who her father was. Chances are they'd met before at some function.

"Its not weither I like people but weither they like me. Either I'm liked or not either way I don't go out of my way to make friends or stand in the spotlight." she said. Which was odd for her, most kids knew about her at school. Either her way she was popular with the teachers and staff where her popularity with them sorta snuffed the flame of ever making friends around school. Some kids got on her good side just to make a name for themselves which wasn't much, in the least.

"I really don't need friends. They'll just get in my way... I'm a busy girl." yeah that was a lie. Busy keeping herself busy so no one got to know her on a personal level. She just didn't want to go off like that again. If they made her mad or caused her too much stress she could blow a top and then what would happen?

Roy.

"It seems more people like you. And carting a lovely like this around. I'm sure that you have some more influence than you let on."

He sipped again and leaned over to her. Smiling warmly.

"everyone needs someone. No one is an island. Maybe you like to be alone, But there's only so much you can do by yourself. I already learned that."

He kissed his fingertips and touched them to her cheek. Then brushed a strand of hair from his face.

"Look I'll be your freind But if you want to be alone, I can leave ya smolder a bit. But I think that you'd be happier coming with Me and Di to my place after we finish these drinks."

Roy licked a little more cream from his fingers.

"Maybe we can break that little shell of yours."

OOC: *sighs* Dragon, please edit AGAIN. You know as well as I do that they've only known Robin for about two months, so where the fuck do you get four years from? Robin was with Batman for four years, but he just came to Vector City in August, and it's the friday before Halloween now, remember? The last time he was there before was as a baby. He was born and a few months later they left. He never stepped foot in Vector again until two months ago, so there is no way he's known Ashton and they've been Titans for four years. Quit making paradoxes already, I'm starting to get annoyed at the number of edits I must request...

"Donna Troy?"

Shaken from her reverie the raven haired girl stood and, with books clasped to her chest, followed the school secretary down the hall. The lecture was the same, all schools seem to have a copy and only details were changed. A tour, ground rules, warnings and then a fake smile and welcome to put the new girl at ease. She'd moved enough to be used to the routine by now, still there was always the hateful moment of introduction. She hated this most of all.

Lead to the door she was all but pushed inside once the teacher acknowledged the secretary and waved her in. Tall and trying for all the world to hide behind an arm full of books, Donna made an immediate move for the side wall hoping to find a seat before--

"Class, this is our newest student. Donna," Pause while the bespectacled teacher looked over the paper work the secretary held to her. "Donna Troy. Welcome Donna, would you like to tell us a little about yourself?"

Her gut twisted, sure she could knock down buildings with her bare hands, redirect landslides..even deflect bullets... but this was sheer torture. The Amazon froze with all eyes on her, nervous fingers rose to smooth her hair back behind one ear ands he cleared her throat.

"Um... Hi. I..uhh... I'm Donna and..I like photography."

Her face was turning the same vibrant shade as her heroic costume and she felt the heat that accompanied the flush in her cheeks. She swallowed and shrugged, that was really all she had to say. She again made a move for an empty desk along the back row near the chem lab tables.

"And would anyone care to show Ms. Troy around? Let's show our new student what sort of spirit we have here at Vector High shall we?" The teacher looked for raised hands hoping at least one of her students would be willing to offer the new girl a friendly gesture

A hand tenatively came up in the back row. This was a mistake, he knew it. The last thing Grant needed was to attract attention to himself. He'd only been here for a week too.

But...well, the way his "family" had moved around, he'd had to go through the crap of the introduction and being showed around more times than he cared to remember. It sucked. Hard. Donna looked so embarrassed and nervous, he really felt for her. Maybe he could make it a little easier. Plus, the desk she was heading to was next to his anyway. "I'll take care of it, Mr. Wolfram."

The reedy teached nodded, "Very good," he consulted an attendance sheet. "Grant." "Yes, do show Miss Troy the school, will you Grant?" "Good of you."

Grant smiled at Donna, easy enough to do. She was gorgeous. "Hi, I'm Grant." "Grant Emerson." "I'm kind of new here myself, so I know how it feels, if that helps."

Donna was spared further humiliation when a student raised his hand. She'd been heading in his direction anyway so it made it all the easier. She slid into the desk beside his and smiled to him.

"Thanks, Grant, Donna Troy. I hate this sort of thing."

Shy downward slip of those pale blue eyes under the impossibly thick black lashes. She was indeed the younger clone of Wonder Woman in every aspect. Nervous fingers raked back her hair again exposing the gold star earings Diana had given her years ago.

"So, how long have you been here?"

She wasn't sure how to make small conversation, the one guy she'd had dating expierence with, well he'd done all the work. He'd come up to her without even a hesitation. Donna was quite the other extreme of social graces. Sweet, kind and caring...but also very shy.

Robin and myself landed at the hospital, carrying the woman in my arms we gave her into the care of the workers. As soon as it was clear we took off again heading towards Robin's apartment. Starfire could've sworn that Robin had touched her at somepoint during the flight but she only figured it was some unknown custom. She wondered if she should return the favor to her friends...

*zip*

"We have made it!" Starfire cheerfully said. "You live in a very large building." Starfire added as she glanced around at the interior.

"I would very much like to see everything all at once." She added.

When Roy had asked what the girls would like to drink, Di whispered, a bit out of character that she'd like a Vanilla Latte. :( Her mind was in other places.... Then as they sat, Roy asked about their lives outside of school - jobs, et cetra. Di had simply said that volleyball was over now and she didn't play basketball, and thus was now in offseason, and sipped her drink.
She was lifted slowly back into reality as Roy's hand slipped up her thigh. Hiding her smile in her cup, and remaining quiet as Reikka spoke - glad it was Roy who'd come up with a nickname and been reprimanded for it instead of herself, one mistake was probably plenty for the day with the girl - she slowly spread her legs to encourage any "thoughts" the boy might be having about fun under the table.

Then Roy suggested that they all return to his place, after having mentioned the team. Di perked up quickly.

"Actually, if you guys wanna get some info on this thing I've been... well, hinting around about, why don't we all meet at Dick's? I mean, he'll have the info you guys are after, if you're interested."
She reached into her pocket, still having no idea where Dick was or what he'd been doing, and pushed a button on the communicator he'd given her not many days previous. She entered her code and then one that would let him know that she'd be on her way to his place soon, with visitors. She hoped that due to his instructions that morning, he'd realize they were more than visitors, they were hopeful recruits. She still wasn't sure about Reikka though... girl could use training, and confidence, and well quite honestly it would still take commitment to the 'good guys' after that, and she didn't know what all Dick would require of her. Especially once Di told her about the girl's admitted doubts....

Smiling at Roy's gentle touches beneath the table, and inching herself forward a bit on the seat - just for a little extra touch of more encouragement - she sipped her drink and waited on the others to decide. Girl was a talker, but really more of a follower than a leader.

"Thanks, Grant, Donna Troy. I hate this sort of thing."

He nodded, " I hear that." "This is my...12th school, 3rd high school." He grinned ruefully, "It never gets easier either." "The stares as they try to measure you up, the new hallways and ceilings." Damn, that was a depressing thought. Not exactly the best way to start off your acquaintance with the fabulously beautiful girl who would probably be one of the popular girls within a week.

"So, how long have you been here?"

"Here's the great part of me showing you around; I've been here exactly one week today." He would have laughed if the teacher hadn't gone back to lecturing. Grant would normally be taking notes like crazy...but he'd already covered this back in Marietta. Great, another depressing thought. "Uh, anyway, this place is all right." "I've been in some lousy schools, but this one seems okay." "There's the usual jocks and preps who pick on the geeks and avoid the stoners." "The teachers are pretty good, actually."

"I came here from Georgia." "How about you?"

Armphid said:
"I came here from Georgia." "How about you?"

"Ohh, I've moved around a lot too."

She sort of skipped answering his question for the moment as the lecture went on. It was all things she'd already learned..when and where were the questions. She didn't feel she was missing anything by keeping the quiet conversation going, and it was nearly the end of this class period anyway.

"Social groups...I never got the hang of those. I never really seemed to fit into any of them. I don't have the mean spirit it seems is mandatory in some groups."

True all of the popular girls she'd know were spitefull or harsh and that was not how Donna was raised. She was a warrior but she was not cruel. The Amazon within her had never been released to it's fullest and she was still naive to the world of man at times.

"Oh, I didn't mean to say you were like that. I mean..I don;t know if you are a jock or something. You could be as big and strong as you are."

No coy flirtation behind it, it was simply a fact and she stated it that way, Donna had no idea she was offering complements sometimes.

"Oh, I didn't mean to say you were like that. I mean..I don't know if you are a jock or something. You could be as big and strong as you are."

Grant blinked, stunned for a second. Had she just...? "Uh, well, not really." "I mean, I don't even work out or anything." Shouldn't have said that. He guessed that his powers made his body this way, and he liked it, but he should have lied there. Although he'd like to meet the man that could look into Donna's soulful blue eyes and lie. "I haven't been here long enough to settle into a group, but...I was kind of a geek at my last school." "Maybe I'll get lucky and just be a ghost here."

"It's funny though, I was just thinking that you'd be one of the popular girls like that," he snapped his fingers softly. "I mean, you're, uh, prettier than any of them." "Of course, they might not like that too much...but I bet a girl like you makes friends easy." He wished he could do that. Or maybe it was better being a loner...just in case he had to run again.

Suddenly, the bell rang, last one of the day. He'd lost track of time. "Guess that ends that." Grant rose, putting his notes into a ragged backpack that had seen hundreds of miles of travel, and looked every one of them. "So...you want to see the rest of the school or do you feel like just taking off?" "I mean, I'd like to show you around, but I know you might want to avoid the whole thing." Please want to be shown around, he silently implored her.

"If I come to your place I expect you to leave the shell breaking to me. I'm not comfortable with people pushing me to do something I don't like." she said in warning. Why was he so annoying all of a sudden. She finished off her drink and sat up to push her chair in. When she removed her hand that portion of the chair had melted clear away.

Tossing her cup in the trash she stood before them as Di spoke. The idea of being surrounded by more of them showed painfully on her face. She wasn't so sure about that but she was curious just the same. "Fine I'll go. But HE needs to lay off!" she pointed roughly. "I'm gonna chill outside on my bike. Hurry up!" she said.

God, watching that Roy guy being all friendly was rubbing Reikka the wrong way. And being called Rei that was stupid, she had a name, use it. Besides it wasn't like she couldn't tell what he was doing, she had linked her mind with Di's for a breif moment and knew exactly what he was doing...his hands were always on her.

"Me either, the working out thing I mean. I guess you're just naturally gifted."

Another of those innocently truthful remarks that sounded so sweet falling from her lips. Aside from one former liaison over the summer Donna was quite limited in her interaction with the opposite sex on a romantic level. Had that other not taken initiative chances were good that she would never have even kissed a boy before now. Even at that kissing had been the extent, well...very passionate kissing anyway.

Donna was still very much an innocent in this world, not always by choice. Her being tended to intimidate a good number of men and her lack of skills in that most subtle art of seduction generally put others off. She was the quintessential shy violet, with the look of a Goddess. Rightly so considering her origins, fortunate for her she never had gotten to see herself that way or she might have developed a nasty ego long before.

A fetching blush rose to her cheeks when Grant called her pretty, and not just pretty, but prettier then the popular girls. Quite something to hear on one's first day.

"Thank you, I'm not really much of a.... I can be... I get shy around new people sometimes...always really. It sort of ruins the social life, first impressions are not good for me."

The bell rang ending that train of thought but giving rise to a new one. What was she to do now? She still hardly knew anything about her new school, she had a handful of classes with no clue where they were or really another else about the school. She turned to Grant and they ended up speaking at the same time.

"If you don't mind I'd like a little help finding my way around."

A soft dulcet laugh, the sort that sounded like fine wind chimes and burbling crystal streams. It seemed they had similar thoughts, and she was not at all dismayed by this.

"I'd appreciate you showing me around. Maybe I can pay you back by buying some food. Assuming you were hungry of course."

Grant laughed, seems they were thinking the same thing. It wasn't easy being the new kid, but it would be better if they went through it together. There was something strange about this girl. Like she was hiding something too. It was intruiging. "As far as first impressions go, I'd say you're doing fine."

He slung his battered pack over one shoulder, "Come on, I'll give you the grand tour with all the additional intelligence I've managed to gather in my long tenure here." Yeah, he was laying the schtick on a little thick but...well, she looked great when she smiled, and that laugh!

He was tempted by her offer to buy food. He had all of $2.37 to his name, and he'd been eating out of restaurant trash bins all week. The food would be better at a homeless shelter, but...cops sometimes came to the shelters, and he didn't know if they suspected him for what happened in Marietta, but he had to assume they did. He almost said yes, but...as low as he was, he was still too proud to accept charity. "Thanks for offering, maybe just a drink somewhere."

At that point, his stomach rumbled, causing Grant to blush brightly. "Uh, heh heh...let's, uh, let's check out the library first." As they made their way out into the busy hallway, he cursed his organs for betraying him.

The library was usually one of his favorite places in any school. It was quiet, and most students avoided it like the plague. This one wasn't as big or as well organized as others he'd seen, but it was okay. "I like coming here, not too many others do." "I like to read too, so I can always find something new to get into." "I'm reading "The Book of the Five Rings" by Musashi Miyamoto right now." He was hoping the philosophy discussed within would help him get a grip on his powers. The tactical stuff was interesting too.

"I was thinking of showing you the band room and choir rooms next, if you're interested." He'd been in the Men's Chorus before Marietta, but he'd probably leave it behind here. Too much chance of getting excited and blowing up. "Are you into music?"
