Titans: The Revised Adventures RP

Raven looked at him with a soft smile as he touched her cheek, giving him another kiss. "Thanks...," she whispered out, glancing up as the doors opened again. Something about seeing him smile; it just made her feel like her heart was swelling up a bit.

*You're doing it again...*
She didn't care anymore. Gar was different, and she didn't care if he saw the emotional side of her. He had tried so hard to get a smile out of her before- and she knew he was still set on trying to get her to laugh. That was going to take a lot, she knew that much.

Heading out from the building, she took another glance at him. "If you don't mind me asking.. Just how many creatures can you become? Anything at all?"

"Pretty much," replied Gar. "All it really takes is for me to be able to envision the animal clearly. There've been times when I've managed to pull off things that you probably wouldn't consider to be an animal, but it's always been for either really short periods of time or when I've had my powers amplified somehow."

He smiled as they walked and talked. "And they usually laid me out afterwards. Even worse than when I become really large regular animals. The more mass I put on, the more it takes out of me...especially if I hold the shape for long periods of time."

Gar cut a glance now and then at the way Raven's tshirt and jeans clung to her body. "And what about you? You don't strike me as a meta for some reason, are your powers natural or is it some kind of training?" He looked about then led Raven across the street and down to the market.

"Call it... family genes." Raven gave a slight frown, looking at the sidewalk as they continued on. "My father... his name is Trigon. He's a demon." Her hand drifted up to rub against her shoulder, not sure how to explain it to him. "I inherited most of this from him, so he could-"

She cut short, giving a soft sigh. "All those books I have in my room. I have them to study, to keep something bad from happening... My dad, from returning to this world. There's a portal he could use, if activated correctly." She glanced at him. "It's me. That's kind of why I'm not that sociable most of the time. I'm afraid of something setting me off and him finding a way to use it."

She shook her head, another soft smile coming to her lips. "I know, ask a simple question and get an answer like that. But just because my dad is a dark demonic figure, it doesn't mean I am." She went quiet for a moment. "I... didn't scare you from being around me, did I?"

Roy looked about. it was an amazing place. Likely expensive as all hell. He knew places like this could run for $2500 a month +. His apartment was nice but not like this, And it was set up. Roy wandered, looking over the Flat TV that came out of the ground. The large bed, very soft too. And her pressed up against the windows. he hoped she wasn't a mind reader because he could see that in an entirely different way for a half second, then it went. Maybe he really was here to just watch a movie.

She told him to pick something and wandered off for snacks. This island game certainly sounded like a good way to kill a day, and really what use did the Office have for him. he never worked sundays. Should probably get on that home work though. what little he had. What was that. His brain attempted to reason with something as inane as a history paper when he was alone with a beautiful girl, in her home, rummaging through her DVD's. It was a bit of a struggle as he went through the stacks. Old Arnie Kitcsh, A Walk to Remember, True Romance, David Suzuki's guide to geology. Then he stopped, here was something good.

"Hey Terra. The island game sounds good. How do you feel about watching The Princess Bride?"

He pulled that and a few others Like it. Old Errol Flynn's, the 2001 Count of Monte Cristo, then looked for something romantic. He'd leave the choices up to her, But he was Ollie's kid primarily and these adventures were tastes of home.

"Sounds like a plan to me. I love that movie!" she called out as she gathered up some chips and dip a few sodas she put on ice in a cooler and left the rest of the food in teh fridge to retrieve for later.

As she entered the room she set up their meal tray, placing it on the bed and tossing him a soda along the way. "Alright go make any pitstops you need cause we're going to try and ride this thing out for a while." she smiled hopping up on her bed and letting the plush comforter envelop her skin. "Come bring the movie I'll pop it in and we can get started."

Gar knew he was gaping, so he had turned slightly to keep his eyes away from Raven while he regained his composure. A demon?!?! Butbutbut...

While Raven had continued speaking, however, Gar could hear the soft sound in her voice that had drawn him in after he'd first been introduced. Sure she was sort of Goth looking and had that vibe of cultivated antisocialism about her, but Gar had had a feeling it was there for a reason. Not the sort of reason he would have imagined, grant you, but the fact that Raven had one showed him he'd been right about her.

Gar turned back to Raven and lifted her chin a bit to meet his eyes again. He liked that they were fairly close in height, so many of the girls he fell for where much taller than he was. "I don't scare that easy, Rae. And, trust me, I've met humans and aliens and metas and things that you never want to imagine meeting, even in a brightly lit room, so I don't think your dad could be that much worse than all that."

Could he?

He dismissed the thought, knowing that Raven probably picked it up anyways, and stepped close to embrace the young heroine. He kissed her cheek and whispered in her ear, "You ever feel something setting you off, you call me, 'kay?" Then he giggled and the thought of an entirely different sort of setting off crossed his mind.

"Sorry."

Raven smiled at his words, giving a slight start of a laugh at the thoughts he gave off. She quickly bit her lips together, trying to hold back the laugh. "Down boy," She said softly, smiling as she rested her head against his shoulder. "And... thank you."

She pulled back a bit to look at him. "You don't mind if this is another thing we keep between us, do you? I'm just worried that if Robin found out, he might not be so receptive to it and kick me out from the team." It was hard enough to be the anti-social one of a group, let alone have them know about her family line. That wasn't exactly something that went over well.

----------------

Showered and returned to Robin's robe, Starfire glided down the halls to search for him. He had gotten up quite early compared to her... Had she really slept all night in his room? It had been comforting, but she wasn't quite sure how the others felt about it.

"I have found you!" Star smiled as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders from behind, pausing as she caught sight of the confused guy in front of him. "Oh-!" She yanked one hand free of Robin, using it to hold the robe closed. "Is he ill?"

Roy caught the soda easily, Coke was always good, and the platter of focaccia, crackers, veggies, and jerky along with a spinach dip was amazing. Who just keeps this stuff, She was well stocked. There was a melon platter too, and Roy was sue he wouldn't need to go anytime soon. Still he left to pee. Ollie's advice, Always relieve yourself early, villans do not stop for the potty dance. Nothing is worse than having to stop because you're going to wet your costume, because by damn it boy you will wet your costume if you're in the middle of a chase and you need to go.

Roy washed his hands after and cleaned up some of the sleep from his face. he felt better anyway. Walking back in Roy stood and looked over at the DVD player. he had the princess bride in hand and a few others. he grinned and Rolled a bearing in his hand. He kept ball bearings for little things like this. And because they were useful as projectiles.

"watch this." Roy opened the Dvd Case and Flipped a bearing at the DVD player. The open button was struck and it opened the Bearing falling to the floor. Roy Tossed the DVD and it spun almost lazily like a saucer or some otherwordly invader, landing perfectly in the tray. "So do you want to start this movie now?"

Roy came to sink himself into the comforter beside her, putting his arm over her easily. "It's one of my favourites too. I used to watch it all the time. When I was a kid."

Conner touched down on top of a building, stretching his hands up over his head. He had given up his search for the meta-cop for now. Afterall it was a beautiful day and Superboy needed to get some serious flying done. He was disappointed with the way things had gone down with Wonder Girl. Her apparant lack of intrest was something that Conner was quite frankly not acustomed to.

"Maybe that's the problem. You're still so used to being the Metropolis Kid that you're waiting for the girls to come swarm you after you bust up a baddie" He chided himself, staring out on the busy streets of Vector City.

After everything he'd been through, he was still thinking like some hormone crazed teenager. Folding his arms across his chest his mind began to go back to the day he left Metropolis. And the words Superman had left him with.

"Kon-El, the reason I gave you these names is because I want you to be able to come into your own. You're not just a clone, you're not a copy. You need to become your own man, before you can become Superman. And one day Conner, the world will look to you as the next Superman."

It meant everything to Superboy. To become Superman meant more then the powers or the cape or the fame. Superman was about being the beacon that lit the darkess and showed the way. It was about manifesting everything good about being a human being. To inherit that was a huge responsability and one Conner, despite all his joking and bravado, took very seriously.

He realized what was behind him far too late to do anything about it.

Ghost had remained intangible for blocks, keeping himself utterly undetectable to any and all forms of detection. Even Superboy's Kryptonian hearing wasn't aware of his stalker until it was far too late.

The ethereal man leapt foreword, his intangible form sliding into Superboy from behind. The Kryptonian youth's body double over in sudden agonizing pain. Every nerve in his body was suddenly wracked by terrrible and unimagianable cold stabbed him like a thousand knives. Unable to endure the agony, he collapsed.

A moment passed before he rose again, casually dusting off the debris that had acumulated on him. Turning his gaze to the world around him, Ghost smiled. This body was something else. It was power like he never knew could even exist!

Flexing his vessel's arm and feeling the surge of raw, physical force Ghost turned his gaze on the distant sillouette of Titan's Tower. With all the power he possessed in this body, they'd never know what hit them.

"Ooh nice. Quite talented with those hands of yours." she said wondering what else he could do with them but decided not to get ahead of herself. All in due time and then again maybe not. She didn't mind having company was better than none.

Starting up the movie she buckled down letting him hold her which felt oddly warm and comfy. Cuddling wasnt' so bad but she was't much of the homely cuddling type. So she moved his hands a little down south, now that she was dressed only in a tank top and panties. She didn't need shorts to lounge so discarded them when he went to relieve himself.

"And let the movie roll." she called out unable to help herself she kissed him square on the lips, but did not go further than a simple gesture. "Thanks for coming with me. I don't get much company these days."

Roy pressed start and the movie began. the familiar scene of Fred Savage playing baseball sick while his grandfather came into the room. How far we've come Roy thought thinking about recent advances in technology. He had arrows more sophisticated than that game. he took a moment to look back over at Terra as she lounged comfortably against the bandages on his side. it was a little uncomfortable form the bruising But she was wam and cute, and it felt so very right. He smiled, about the hand crack and began to creep one down towards her bottom, barely convered by the boycuts, she was wearing. he would have said something about her changing when he went to the bathroom but decided to shut up and enjoy it.

She moved his hand for him. It was half shock as it rested firmly and heavily on her ass. Spirits but it was smooth. Smoother than the lace boycuts his palm felt, Like velvet. How did someone who worked with so much earth keep skin so mooth. His fingers were callous through and through from bow strings. His fingers dipped and squeezed lightly, at the soft flesh, and she smiled and kissed him. Softly, and quickly. he smiled and curled his hadn ou. Keeping the palm on her bottom.

"Your very welcome." Roy smiled back at her and put his other arm on her head to rub it softly. "To tell you the truth I don't see a lot of people outside of work either. Or school, and I hardly interact with ten people at the entire school. I'm surrounded by people I don't know all day, At least people I don't really know."

Roy grinned half goofily and scratched her head like she was a kitten or something, then kissed the top of her head. "I guess it's nice to meet someone you don't know for something isn't it? then you can learn about them, be near them. Yeah it's nice." The movie was starting in truth, Westley was saying good bye to Buttercup, And roy thought of Donna. never this far with her, But they'd cudled on couches and in parks. He'd psoed for photos and watched her move. Good god was he a prick.

Roy looked at Terra. So smooth and soft, so easygoing, so fast. Yeah. Maybe Roy was a prick, but he needed what he needed, and he wanted what he wanted, and he wanted to be happy. And this girl was making him so. He picked up a grape and ate one. Then picked a few to feed her. Snacking was always good. His hand rubbed softly along the lines of her boycuts, over her botom tracing softly the skin and folds of lace, While he presented her with a grape.

OOC: Not much else I can do save for reply to Vulcan, so I'm waiting to post till I can include more than just Robin in it.

Donna

"But that's just the thing, I couldn't tell him. Maybe I should have..no...I should have. And I was at that Titans building today..."

Oh boy, there was a whole 'nother story to cover there. She fell back into the chair opposite his seat.

"After the fight I tried to get out of sight last night. Superboy followed me, ended up giving me his jacket because... OH! Oh God Grant I am so sorry..the costume is ruined. I'll pay for it..but when Grundy hit me... it got pretty messed up."

She was horrified about that, even in the midst of everything else.

"Anyway...umm..where was I? Oh yeah...Superboy leant me his jacket so I went to return it today. I guess Roy is involved with one of the girls there. He answered the door in this fluffy robe..pink. And then, I shouldn't have..I know but..I followed him to talk when he seemed upset and he went to a girls room and put his clothes back on. She was still in bed. I know we're not together anymore but seeing that...Gods it hurt."

She'd had a very bad day after that, suffering with the final irrefutable proof that things between them were done. Roy Harper had moved on and she had to let him, to do otherwise was cruel and greedy and unfair. She should move on as well, even with that ache in her heart she had a chance with a great guy..someone who could finally understand her and deal with what she was.

"Grant, what your powers are, what you've done...those aren't you. I can't pretend to know the measure of your soul, I've hardly known you two whole days...but what I do know of you means you are not a monster. You care, monsters don't care. I've made mistakes in the beginning, I was lucky enough to have someone to mentor me, you've gotten by all this time on your own...do you realize how amazing that is?"

She smiled a bit, but not quite reaching her eyes. There was so much more to say, so much she needed and wanted to tell him. So much she wanted to console him on, reassure him he was the good person she believed him to be.

"Every one deserves a second chance. I believe that with everything that I am. Don't discount yourself because of your past, make your future into your redemption. Maybe, we both can."

The hardest part was yet to come, why had revealing herself been so easy when this was nearly killing her?

"Grant, I've got to be honest though, I like you, I really do. I would love to see where something between us might go. But as hard as I try I've never really gotten over Roy, maybe part of me will always love him..I guess it's like that with the first love. I don't compare you and I'm not replacing him with you. If I'm with you I want to be with you, but I need you to understand that what was between Roy and I will always be somewhere in my mind and heart. I'll be the best friend..or more that I can be with you if you can just promise me patience."

He deserved better, he really did...what right did she have asking him to be patient while she tried to get over her ex? He would say no...he would storm out and rightly so. She wouldn't blame him, couldn't really. It was all up to him as she fell silent once more.

Terra

She smiled opening her mouth to recieve the grape as she chewed on the sweet morsel. "Mmm.. pretty fresh. Glad I know my fruits." she beamed and snuggled into Roy more careful not to bang him up too much.

She mewled much like a kitten when he scratched her head, snuggling closer than she'd like but it felt so good to have her head scratched. Soon she was in heaven as he fed her another grape. So charming, it was fun to lounge and be pampered like this.

"Well I'm not an only child. My father has more faith in my brother...twin at that supposidly but you wouldn't notice the difference. At least not now anyway." she paused switching the subject, that part of her life was on a need to know basis. Which no one needed to know... how was she to explain that she wasn't the original Terra.

"My father and I are not on the greatest of terms. With my brother being the fore runner of the household there was really no need for me. I rebelled... but my father is a political figure of sorts. He wanted to make a good impression on the snops around him so offered to let me be on my own if I simply went away. He would pay for everything..." she sighed seeming said. "I decided why not. I would take him for every single penny he had. If he was so ashamed of me why bother sticking around?" she shrugged looking to Roy then back at the movie. "So all of this is courtesy of my father... ashamed as he was." she seemed sadned by this but said nothing for a long while as the movie was underway.

Eventually she did speak up looking to him. "I suppose my carefree nature is born from my relationship with my folks. I mean I like to do things my way there's no harm in that right? Why worry about the consequences; who knows you might get away with a lot if you live your life fearlessly. So here I am, just doing my own thing. Laying in bed with a complete stranger and lucky me, you're not some crashed rampaging sexual offender or murder for that."

Reikka

"Well I still think you are human. No matter how many metal parts they put on you, the fact remains is that you ARE human..." she smiled touching the cool surface of the steel. "It quite interesting though...a tinman." she knocked on the steel glad to find it wasn't hollow. "I got my personal cyborg, its kinda cool." But judging from the slight mental connection with you, you're all human hon. I can't possibly connect in that format with electronics.

Grant smiled at her encouragement, though he wasn't sure she wasn't being too generous. He'd screwed up a lot. But, she hadn't asked him to leave, she was still talking to him. He was afraid that what he'd done would be too much for her to forgive...which was a little stupid, he had to admit. He almost wanted to cheer though. She accepted it, she accepted him. God, what had he ever done right to get to meet her?

He listened without comment as she talked about Harper. His eyes narrowed a little, and one hand curled into an almost fist. That unbelievable bastard. He'd told Grant all about how he was going to come after Donna, to win her back, and he was sleeping with another girl. Shouldn't he be devoted to HER? Grant wanted to find him and hit him. Punch his lights out. How dare he make her feel this way? Where did he get off treating anyone like this? Not to mention the girl he was jerking around and screwing while he plotted to get back with Donna. What was his right to treat her like that?

That, however, wasn't the point of what Donna was saying. She wasn't over him. Why? When he treated her like that...did that kind of thing in front of her. He didn't get it. Great girls always seemed to fall for the scumbags. But, it wasn't like she wasn't interested in him. Just that Harper was still part of her. He sighed, a sad smile on his face. "Yeah, first loves are like that." However things ended, he figured that she'd end up like that for him. Always there, in his memories, and in his heart.

"After everything you told me today, I'd be pretty low if I couldn't give you patience." He shook his head, "Even if you hadn't told me about yourself, it'd still be low." He reached out to place a hand on one of hers, "I can be impatient sometimes, but not about things that really matter." "And this, you, is the most important thing to me right now." "Whatever we can be, I want to be, and I'll wait as long as it takes." "You're worth it."

Roy.

Roy watched the movie, Content to feed and rub this girl in his arms. In a way the film with it's memorable quotes with it's scenes and fights, reminded him of his childhood. Watching it with Ollie and sometimes with Dinah too. He only know knew why they snuggled so close under the blankets reminded of the happy contentment on both thier faces. Softly he ran his hand along the base of her spine and up through her short hair. Scratching and rubbing behind her ears, along her neck and scalp. She seemed to enjoy it a lot.

Roy began to quote some of the passages, he had always been inigo before to Ollie's Man in Black. Hearing tales of Inigo's talent and potential, and how with all the skill you still needed heart. he issed the old man every now and again, but it was better that he had left. He couldn't be speedy forever. Always in the old man's shadow. The fight on top of the cliffs had begun and Roy remembered each line, his body remembered each thrust and he kept silent to himself, as he let his hand resting on her bottom drift up to rub her back. He brought her a piece of melon and remembered more. Talks with Ollie about love, about women. How the hero stayed with the girl, though Ollie had seen many women. He always came back to Dinah. Was this his Dinah? Did Roy have one? Deserve one? Maybe he didn't know. He smiled and ate something himself. His hands idly playing with Terra.

"My father and I. I suppose we're fine. He helped me at first, and he taught me all I know. Now we deal with each other as men." Her sexual offender comment caught him off guard and he chuckled more at it than the dialogue. "Well I almost killed a man last night. Does that count? You're safe with a cop I promise. I can almost promise that I have honorable intentions too."

Roy resisted the urge to stick his tongue out at her, But let his hand drift back to her bottom to softly tickle between her legs for but a brief moment. He didn't wait for a shock he leaned and kissed her. His hand slid back to resting on her ass, and he grinned. "See almost honorable."

Gar waved off her worries. "No problem, that's the sort of thing that no one really needs to know about until they do." His mind flitted over what little he'd ever hear about how to deal with demons and he came to the quick conclusion that he barely knew anything and needed to do some research.

As they headed out, Gar broadened their conversation to things not related to Titans or HIVE or villains...familial, or otherwise...and within a short while they were at the market.

Gar looked at several of the tables of fruits and vegetables out for display and then stepped over to where Raven was doing the same. He gently set his hands on her hips and leaned lightly against her back. "So, what shall we get?" he asked.

Raven smiled at him over her shoulder, holding up the little basket on her arm with strawberries, grapes, some cut melons, and two bottles of pomegrante juice. "How's this look to you? Something nice to nibble on."

She liked how this felt. To have someone to talk to, and to just hold her like this... She had figured she'd never be able to actually do something like this. The Titans really were changing things for her. She had friends, a new place to live, and a guy in her life. She actually felt kind of normal.

After paying, they headed back for the waterfront, Raven already popping a few grapes in her mouth. "I suppose.. you could call this a first date, couldn't you?" She glanced at him, offering out one of the berries to him.

“Ah, well--what the fu-?!” Robin stared in shock as Vulcan’s red exterior melted away, leaving the trembling form of a skinny teenager in it’s place. The boy looked bewildered, then looked up at Robin with wide eyes. Suddenly, it occurred to him that this kid had called him Robin, yet, stupidly, he had answered the door as Dick Grayson, not having changed into his R-Suit. Vulcan must have known that he was indeed Robin, and thus this kid would know it as well. It was at this very moment that he realized that there was more to being a hero than secret identities. Beast Boy didn’t have a secret identity, and he was just fine. Maybe the Bat had been a little paranoid when enforcing the importance of secrecy. Here, it was different. He was surrounded by his friends. He didn’t have to hide Dick Grayson behind Robin’s mask. They would love him and accept him for who he really was.

“Yeah, that’s right,” he said with a smile. “I’m Robin. So you’re the kid behind the mask of Vulcan... Well, you’re on the team,” Robin walked over to a drawer and pulled out a communicator, handing it to the kid. “Welcome to the Teen Titans. By the way, what’s your real name? I’m Dick Grayson.” he extended a hand.

“A tinman,” Vic said with a laugh. Then, as Reikka spoke, his heart filled with hope, and he leaned forward, hugging her close and carefully controlling his strength. He kissed her deeply, loving her so much in that moment. “Thank you for not screaming and running away...” he said before kissing her again. He felt so lucky, so incredibly lucky to have found someone so understanding and loving as Reikka.

Reikka

She kissed Vic back with just as much love and passion, this big lug was so adorable sometimes if not awkward and goofy. But she wanted his confidence to shine again always attracted to that side of him. "What can I say, I've always had a thing for the tinman in the Wizard of Oz..." she giggled slightly cuddling into his embrace. "At any rate, maybe we should go see about the others. Make sure everyone is okay." she said taking her hand in his. "Besides I'm friggin starvin'!"

Terra

Terra gasped then melted into the kiss but it was over fairly quick. She smirked at Roy slapping him upside the head playfully. "Hey! You gotta warn a girl when you do that...oh wait no you don't" she smirked and grabbed hold of him pulling him into her for a quick firm kiss.

"You have incredibly soft lips for a guy. And although callous I like the way your hands feel on my bum... " she stuck her tongue out looking at the screen. "I see I'm out mastered in the movie department. You quoted damn near everything in this story." she pouted cutely leaning over to bite his nose softly. "Stop quoting the movie's almost over and despite seeing it before its been a while."

Ashton slowly got back to his feet, then pushed a button. He was a little confused when the elevator went down instead of up, but once it reached the lobby, he stepped out, actually, more like staggered out, and looked up to see Dick talking to some kid. "Who's the kid?"

“This is the kid within the suit of Vulcan, though he hasn’t said yet what his real name is,” Robin told Ash, then looked back to the kid.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Yeah!” Vic said with a laugh. “My stomach may be artificial, but it’s still a stomach!” They headed downstairs to the kitchen. Seeing Ashton, Vic explained about what had happened to him.
OOC: I know I know, short posts. :p.
Ashton raised an eyebrow, looking the guy up and down. He grinned, then shook his head. "I'm out for a few hours, and you get yourself a new body?"
