Raven glanced over, seeing Di across the way, with... another girl, who had a rather confused look on her face. Oh, great. Everyone was making friends today...

*Raven..uh .. about earlier...*
The thoughts shot into her head as she had started to call to Di- but Reikka's words cut through it. The tone immediately changed in the thoughts shared, instead asking where they were.
*Main entryway. I found Di. and... her friend. Look for Beast Boy. I'm sure you'll see him.*

"Di... Over here. We're just waiting on Dick's other friends..."

Grant shrugged, "I guess we should get masks."
He weighted the two in his hands. The Greek mask was probably more appropriate, but the other was more appealing to him. "Hmm." "Can't decide, which one do you think would be better?"

Donna took each mask, the Greek first holding it up to his face and looking at him apraisingly. She traded masks and checked the other for suitability. She tilted her head this way and that debating the two before she handed him the black domino mask.

"The other suits the costume, but this suits you more."

That said she took her own selection and headed for the fitting room. She changed back into her street clothes and packed up her costume handing it off to one of the girls to take to the counter.

"Well, looks like we have a few hours. How do we... I mean..do we meet there or.."

It was a date...kinda..but.. Well she would leave that detail up to him.

Di stood near the tree where they seemed to be gathering, watching and seeing Dick pull up a few feet away, and heard Ashton's van pull up behind her. Relieved that everyone seemed to be taking things... well, in stride, Di introduced Mina to the group as they each approached.

Okay, well, that went well... but Di wondered if they all really realized what was happening. Dick and Ashton... what would they think? Especially Ashton. The two had known each other for a few years now, because of school... what would he think when he realized...? Di put the thoughts away and began concentrating on the tasks at hand. There was a new building to scout, and Di was more than ready to get on with the action.

 

[Armphid]

Donna took each mask, the Greek first holding it up to his face and looking at him apraisingly. She traded masks and checked the other for suitability. She tilted her head this way and that debating the two before she handed him the black domino mask.

"Well, looks like we have a few hours. How do we... I mean..do we meet there or.."

Grant handed his costume over as well, unfolding several rather crumpled bills from his ragged wallet to pay for the rental. "I guess it does take time to get ready." Crap, how was he going to meet her? He didn't have a car, and he was too young to rent one. "As far as meeting...uh, how about...I don't, I don't have a car or anything."

Maybe he should have thought things through before he asked her out. No, it was a good choice. The only choice. He liked her too much not to. "I usually take the train." Yeah, he rode on top, but it was taking the train. "I could meet you at the station near your place and go in that way." He hesitated, then plowed on, "I know that's low class, and you deserve a lot better but I'm afraid it's all I've got."

So not the note he wanted to end on. Grant nodded, "Okay." "How about I meet you at the El stop by your place at 6?" "That'll give us plenty of time to enjoy the party and leave if we want to hit dinner or something."

The two exited the costume shop, and Grant pushed his doubts about the evening away. He'd have to spend the time in-between now and the party taking out a few more dealers. He really wanted to take Donna to a nice place, and he spent most of his money on the costume rental. "So, uh, can I walk you home or do you want to, you know, have some time to yourself?" He grinned sheepishly, "I know I've been taking a lot of it, but...well, it's been really great for me." "Guess I'm being selfish."

So not the note he wanted to end on. Grant nodded, "Okay." "How about I meet you at the El stop by your place at 6?" "That'll give us plenty of time to enjoy the party and leave if we want to hit dinner or something."
"So, uh, can I walk you home or do you want to, you know, have some time to yourself?" He grinned sheepishly, "I know I've been taking a lot of it, but...well, it's been really great for me." "Guess I'm being selfish."

"I think I have it from here, but thanks. I want to stop at the store on the way home anyway."

She lifted the costume and smild to him again.

"This was really sweet of you, thanks again. I can't wait for tonight."

And then she was gone, black pony tail bouncing along with her steps looking every bit the excited elated girl she was. Things were looking up, and Grant was gettting sweeter by the day. She couldn't help but smile all the way back to her aparment.

OOC: It seems that Squirter and Armphid got tired of waiting for us to show up in the park. Now they are both heading in opposite directions toward their homes or whatever. Thus, since there is no way for us all to meet in the park now, I am moving the story along as soon as Superboy finally lands and Roy shows up. Feel free to continue your independent story together as Grant and Donna, and join the Titans whenever you feel ready. Also, Randal, if you want, you could post someone robbing a woman's purse in the park, then Rupert beats the shit outta him and the Titans see . That could lead them to let him in the team.

“Well, we’re all just about here,” said Robin after a few minutes. “Just waiting on Roy.” he smiled as they met Mina. “Nice to meet you. So, you somehow got some of Di’s powers?” then he raised an eyebrow. “What did you two do together?”

His question was forgotten as they saw someone flying overhead of them. Robin’s eyes grew wide as they laid upon the trademark red S, though it seemed to be a bit altered. “Oh you gotta be kidding me... That has to be Superboy... I‘ve never met him, but Batman told me about him after a Justice League meeting once. Apparently, he‘s a clone of Superman, and from what the Bat told me, he is extremely cocky and unpredictable..”

Vic and Reikka finally found the others, just as Robin finished his speech about Superboy. “Sounds like me!” he said with a laugh as they walked up, then turned his attention to the flying dude.

Mina blushed as Robin looked at them suspiciously, then diverted her attention to the man that was floating above them as well.

When Superboy finally landed, Robin sighed then walked over to him. “Hey, Superboy, right? What brings you to Vector?”

 

[Armphid]

Grant watched Donna leave, admiring the bounce in her step, among other things. Head out of the gutter, Grant. She too good for you to think about...well, that. Or that. Or any of those things.

Well, he might as well go home too. He had a busy day of knocking over gangs and dealers if he was going to get the cash for the date. Had to change into his crime fighting threads first.

He walked into the alley by the costume shop, looking to make sure he was alone. Then with one leap, he launched himself to the rooftop. "Okay...now, where's the Yellow Line from here..."

Ah. He spotted the tracks of the elevated train a few blocks away, and began to make his way from rooftop to rooftop. He was likely pretty visible, but he didn't care. He had a date with the most incredible girl he'd ever met! She was more that he could have dreamed of! With everything that had gone wrong in his life, he'd given up any chance of meeting anyone, let alone someone like Donna.

His feet connected with the rippled metal of the train roof, his super humanly tough body absorbing the impact that would have injured a normal man. He stood atop the train as it made it's way through the streets, which suddenly seemed full of life and color.

Yeah. There was magic in the air today.

 

[FenixZero]

Superboy screeched to a halt mere inches above the ground. Grinning broadly at the assembled group he dropped the remaining inches and landed neatly.

“Hey, Superboy, right? What brings you to Vector?”

Kon-El cocked an eyebrow at the speaker. He was a bit suprised to see Batman's former partner in this little group, but anyone bad enough to run with the Bat...

How the hell does he sneak up on anyone in bright primary colors? Superboy thought to himself before his eyes locked on something far more intresting.

A few inches shorter the himself, every inch of her skin covered in a rich orange, like the color of melting bronze, off set by a pair of firery green eyes. And curves in all the right places. A wider grin spread across Superboy's face and he flashed over next to her, forgetting to respond to Robin entierly.

"Hey I'm Superboy. And you are?"

OOC: Heh, It's fun being the arrogant dick. lol

 

[The Jeffinator]

Robin glared at Superboy with fire in his eyes as he attempted to flirt with Star. “That’s Starfire -- my girlfriend.”

 

[Mephistophelily]

"Super...boy?" Starfire gave him a confused look, an even more confused one to Robin as he growled at him. "Robin... be kind to our new friend. He is another worlder like me, is he not?"
She gave Superboy a hug, smiling at him. "Welcome to you, Superboy!"

*Easy, Star. I think you've got a green eyed monster going with Robin...,* Raven warned.

"Monster?!?" Star spun around, staring at Robin. "I do not see any evil beast on my Robin, Raven.."

 

[The Jeffinator]

“What?” Robin looked from Star to Raven. “What’d you say to her?”

Ashton stepped up behind them, having driving the truck the rest of the way from the tower by the bay. "It's a figure of speech. Green Eyed Monster refers to the emotion Jealousy. You might want to tone it down, Kryptonian. After all, not everyone appreciates people who have more personality than they require." He bowed slightly to Raven, Starfire, and the other girls, then turned to Robin. "I drove around to take a look. That one guy is waiting for you already. Also, Dad called, he said Doc Stone was going to see about getting the original blueprints for the tower."

 

[Mephistophelily]

"Ohhh... nothing." Raven smirked at him.

"I think she was referring to Beast Boy," Star said softly, a confused look on her face. "She said that... you had a green monster...?" She gave him a strong bearhug. "But you could not be a monster of any sort!"

 

[The Jeffinator]

Robin smirked at Superdork as Star hugged him, and he hugged back, then kissed her deeply. “I love you, Star.”

OOC: Also, I have no idea how the location of the Tower changed to by the park. When we first thought up the idea of the Tower, it was near Thunder Bay, not in the center of town by Midtown Park. I have no idea how it got changed, but I am going to keep it by the Bay. I won’t ask for reedits anymore, I will just disregard posts that conflict something that has already been established.

After much time, Reikka finally found the others coming up to them with a chipper smile, though she gave Raven a slight mortified look before turning her gaze off in some various direction. "What'd I miss?" she asked Raven on the side noting the peeved form of Robin and Starfire's confused expression. Though they seemed to be making up just then.

 

[Mephistophelily]

*I forgot just how much fun it is to confuse Star.* Raven gave Reikka a grin, folding her arms as she glanced to Gar.
*And you, mister... We'll see what you get once we get this place fixed up. I might just let you have a say in it. MIGHT.*

Starfire laughed. "I will try to understand these strange sayings. They can be very... confusing to me, though. When shall we see our new home, Robin?"

 

[Remec]

Raven gave Reikka a grin, folding her arms as she glanced to Gar.
*And you, mister... We'll see what you get once we get this place fixed up. I might just let you have a say in it. MIGHT.*

Gar laughed. It was a high-pitched spurt of giggles that made several of the others look at him. He shrugged. "Sorry, something just struck me as funny. So, Star's right, are we all going to check this place out or what?"

He cut a glance at Raven and became a bright green fox. The visual imagery running through his mind was along the lines of various camera shots of mouths and teeth and tongues coming to bear or being presented with various bits of Raven's body.

Then a rush of realization and all the images dissolved beneath a sudden thought. Crap! Mind reader! DANGER WILL ROBINSON! Gar mentally giggled and turned his body and attention towards Robin, while the thought and image of kissing Raven's purple-black glossy lips lingered lightly beneath the surface of his mind.

 

[Mephistophelily]

"Reikka.. Don't worry about it. So you felt like sharing. Just... a bit of a warning next time would b-"

Raven cut short, her eyes widening as she gave a look to Gar. She caught that. All of it. *And just HOW do you expect me to do that third thing, mister contortionist?,* she sent him, a slight smile on her face as she turned her attentions back to Reikka.

"I suppose I should warn you, though... payback can be a bitch." She winked at her.

 

[The Jeffinator]

“Well,” Robin said with a sigh, “We were supposed to meet there a bit later this afternoon, but since Ashton says the old man is already there, he must have misheard me on the phone. I guess that’s understandable given the hair and crust in his ear, hehe.” Robin turned and started walking towards his bike. “Ash, give your dad a call and have them meet us sooner of they can. Looks like we’ll go a bit earlier.”

“Wait, did you say Dr. Stone?” Vic said, then laughed hard. “I can’t believe I forgot! My dad told me he was meeting with the Titans today! He wanted me to come and help out, so I guess I will, now that I’m hanging out with you guys.”

 

[Remec]

*And just HOW do you expect me to do that third thing, mister contortionist?,* she sent him, a slight smile on her face as she turned her attentions back to Reikka.

Without even missing a word of what Robin was saying, Gar grinned and gave Raven a wink. *You would just need to relax...trust the shapeshifter...*

 

[Kuuroinochou]

"Yes well I look forward to a lovely evening of self love then..." Reikka shot back to Raen whistling to herself as she stole a glance to Vic. She rose her arms over her head resting her hands behind her head as they began to move.

 

[The Jeffinator]

“Awww!” Vic laughed and put an arm around Reikka. “Don’t worry, Rei! After we’re all done I’m all yours.” he kissed her deeply.

 

[Kuuroinochou]

She blushed rosey in her cheeks at that ducking a little into his arms, being an outwardly shy girl when it came to matters like that. But she didn't mind the effection. "Big lug..." she muttered with a mock pout.

 

[Mephistophelily]

Star slipped onto the bike behind Robin, her arms immediately going to their usual spot- tightly holding about his waist. "I am quite eager... I enjoy the thought of being with you all the time, Robin..," She whispered in his ear, then looked to the others. "Come! It is time to see our new home!"

"Yaaaay." Raven twirled a finger in the air, her expression still quite solemn. The whole idea, though, did seem pretty nice to her. She just.. wasn't about to say that. She gave a quick look to Reikka and Vic, shaking her head. "Just keep it to yourselves...."

 

[FenixZero]

Superboy coughed a bit. He had resumed floating about a foot off the ground and was starting to get just a little bit bored. All the lovey dovey stuff was cute and all but the fact was he was still the new kid in town and didn't have any idea what this team was all about.

"So, waitaminute, what's the story with this little outfit. That dude on the bike just said he was a metahuman cop, and to come to this park and look for the cutie with the weird skin. which I'm guessing means her." He finished by hooking a thumb at Starfire.

Conner playfully threw her a wink. With any luck it would burn Birdboy up a little. Screwing with people was one of Kon-El's favorite pastimes.

Cracking his knuckles he looked around the assembled group, "And while I'm at it...where do we all stay?"
