Tips on writing a sex scene without romance involved?

I could be wrong but I believe the OP has asked for advice before due to the fact of not having a lot of experience on this subject in the real world. Because of that you doubt your ability to realistically describe things. But what you’re doing is writing. You’ve never seen a dragon in rl but that wouldn’t stop you from writing about them I’m guessing (going by your user name). So just approach it like you would anything else you’d write about. The personalities of the characters involved and the culture/customs of your world would have bearing on this but you are overthinking it to a degree. As others have said sex is sex, with or without love. People in love could have awful sex(in terms of mutual enjoyment) while strangers could have a great time.
However even without love and while one is doing their duty it doesn’t mean that one can’t enjoy it as well. That’s where their attitudes, level of experience, the culture (is it sex positive or a rigid patriarchy) and how they feel about each other and their situation would play into things.
I don’t think anyone gave a bad answer but this might more be a situation where if you had their characters and culture set in your mind that you could bounce specific ideas off one person you trusted like would a sheltered woman who has had no experience seem believable if she did x and y. Trying to crowdsource an answer might not be the best way.
And if this is tl;dr just remember sex is sex, with or without love, and producing an heir will require some of the old in-out, in-out. It is up to the author if you wish to show it as part of your story.
