I have caught the plague* or something. I blame the children I played legos with at Christmas. Little germ factories. My son told his girlfriend yesterday he was "legit dying" and I laughed at him. This morning I feel like I should have been more sympathetic.
*it's a cold & mild bronchitis. I'm just being a dramatic crybaby because i hate to be sick

Oh I like the 80s movie idea. That seems perfect. I feel just awful enough that i might fall asleep a lot so something I've seen but enjoyed is perfect.

gorgeous brisk day for a walk with Sassy down to the lighthouse point and back.
i like to talk to her through all my lists and plans, just like i used to do when he held my hand and we walked on the beach before company came, breathing the fresh salty air.
i love watching her romp in the waves and chase the seagulls she will never catch.
i don't mind towelling her off to get the sand and salt off of her tawny coat before lifting her <umph> back into the car. another thing i miss him doing.

gonna check off my lists.
take my friends to the pub tonight so i don't have to cook (there is restaurant upstairs with a view of the water)

A little message for you.

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,

I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
