Time zones in my bedroom

Why is it I have 6 clocks in my room, yes I have 6.

Yet I cannot get them to all read the same time?

my radio reads 7:51, my alarm clock 8:00, the computer 7:55, my watch 8:02, my vcr says 8:01, my wall clock reads well it seems to read 9:04 (I think I missed daylights saveng time lol)

but acording to the news it's 7:56.

who the fuck am I to belive?

Mind you this is just in my bed room, I don't even want to think about the other 15 clocks in the house.


Who esle has this problem?

Pick the time that makes you happiest and go from there. I stopped trying to make my clocks all play nicely together a long time ago, like yours, they all want to be individuals. So sometimes I am very early and some times I am late.
But at least I came! (Sorry, that was awful, but I had to say it)

I have this problem, too. Every clock in my house has a different time and not one of them is the same as the news or the radio says it is.

who the fuck am I to belive?

Once a month, I set my watch to WWV, Fort Collins, CO -- The US Bureau of Standards Time signal -- At 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 MHz on my World Band (shortwave) radio. Then I set every other clock in the house to my watch if it is off by more than one minute.


There are a cuple of sites on the web that will set the time on your computer to a time standard (NAval Observatory, USBS, Greenwich Observatory, etc.) You can use that to synch the rest of your clocks periodically.

The key is to have one clock that is set to a precise standard so you know what time the rest of the world thinks it is. The rest of the clocks should all be made to agree with that one.

Some of us refuse to care what time it is. I don't mind if my clocks don't agree with each other. As long as they are within a couple of minutes of each other I'm happy. I rarely even wear a watch unless I'm at work.

I have an idea in regards to your clock problem. If they are all digital why not unplug them all and then plug them back in and they will flash 12:00 forever and then you wont have to worry about which one to look at. And just go by what your computer states the time is....
