Time to prepare for a post-Deplorable America. What will that look like?

They'll be forever disgraced and connected to whatever their god is eventually convicted of.

The effects of their "movement"? Continued influence in social matters, government politics, et al? Of course. But the other reality is that a good portion of them are not far off from crawling back under their rocks and becoming far less consequential. We're seeing signs of this already.

As they get pushed aside, what's next? First and foremost, I think the Dems need a serious gut/reality check, and to start shaking up their party; status quo won't work going forward.

The Democrats have been the centrist party for years. I’m hopefully that the collapse of the hard-right GOP will create room for the emergence of an actual left-wing alternative to the Democrats.

WIth Koch pulling the plug on the rapidly sinking ship of magats, the handwriting is on the wall. The uber rich will have to find a new "movement" to sucker into doing their bidding.

So, Tea Party, MAGA, and now what? How can the barons develop a new set of gullible serfs? There are still a lot of ignorant people left to exploit.

However, with the magats fading out of the picture, I expect to see a resurgence in young people pushing the Democrats for basic human rights. The uber rich GOP estabishment blew it by betting on a hate group, and they swung the door wide open for the next generation to demand basic rights to housing, food security, healthcare, and the right to be different.

Unlike my Democratic friends here...I am a realist. You can never be free of a cancer that hasn't been fully removed. Trump...is not the cancer. He is a grifter that uses the cancer to his betterment. He doesn't care about others. There is only one long term solution. Americans are in denial about this. Until they embrace this reality...less and less will be saved.

Need proof? You shouldn't...but let's play anyway. Do a Google on "UWSNT vs Sweden". Pick any YouTube video. Your choice. Then...read the comments. People are "celebrating" their loss blaming it on "wokeness"...instead of the obvious...this was a poorly constructed team made up of amazing individual talent that was incapable of become a team because of coaching and team buy in.

As long a Americans need to blame reality on political differences...this cancer will never be beaten

...which is exactly what a desperate demographic that's about to lose a big portion of their social and political standing would do.

But I agree 100% about Trump merely being a symptom.

Americans of every persuasion have a right to housing, however, the constitution doesn’t provide a right for people to go into other peoples bank accounts to pay for it.

Lefty progressive Marxist like you conflate basic human rights with freebies. All Americans have the right to equality under the law, freedom to get a job, freedom of choice. No American is denied basic human rights.

Rather than convert America into N Korea just move there and drag your Marxist ideology with you.

You may want to rethink that. It's the right-wing who conflate basic human rights with freebies. The left just call them 'basic human rights'.

North Korea is not 'Marxist', it's a hereditary dictatorship (which is exactly what Trump wanted to impose on the US).

I don’t need to rethink anything! Healthcare is not a basic human right, that being said, we as a people can elect officials who represent us and if we want to provide free healthcare or healthcare for all then vote on it.

My reference to N Korea was Coati’s willingness to surrender our constitutional rights for authoritarian rule by one party.

I want Medicare for all. It would be cheaper and more efficient than than the cruel, greedy system we have now. Any candidate that runs on nationalizing healthcare will get my vote.

Some people have health insurance by their employer, should they be forced to give it up because you want them to. That’s authoritarian!

What a potato head. Lmao

Many people in the UK have 'private' medical insurance via their employer, their own payments or some other scheme. Some never see the inside of an NHS hospital as a patient in their lives (you think the monarch does?).

The more you know.

I-cant-help wants to continue with welfare for the rich, to continue directing disproportionate wealth and subsidies toward the corporations with the most capital to pay for lobbyists.

That won't fly with the next generation, most of whom are weary from being on an economic treadmill. And moreover, the GOP culture war policies of depriving women and minorities of human rights will not fly with the next generation. And, the next generation is not stupid enough to accept the GOP myth that climate change is a hoax.

Tick tock, tick tock. The disintegation of the MAGAt movement is the next generation just starting to raise its voice.

Buh-bye, magats.
