Time once more for another ballon bursting report...

I could have told you that ten years ago. Organic food is just a way for self-hating people to mitigate their guilt. It's like carbon offsets for housewives.

Never thought it was about health, but about enviro impact?

The whole organic food thingy was about a fear of having pesticides on the food. There's a simple cure for it, rinse the damn thing off before eating, same thing that you are supposed to do anyway.

Basically what the report is saying is that organic means it's just more expensive. Doesn't mean diddly squat except in the case of meats, and for that you want free range not organic. Come to think of it I don't remember ever seeing organic meats.

Course the wanting free range doesn't mean diddly for things like stew meats and ground beef. It means plenty when you are getting roast and steaks, because the weight includes the fat. Sadly it costs more to get free range steaks, so unless you make tons you are not buying it.

But organic options may live up to their billing of lowering exposure to pesticide residue and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, researchers from Stanford University and the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System found.

Good enough for me.

But, according to the headline, reducing exposure to those things isn't healthier for you.

Anyone thinking the study "bursts a bubble" obviously doesn't understand organic farming.

You're talking about Eeyore. He believes creationism is science and Infowars is a reliable news source.

This has more to do with the weird culture war battle lines in the US. Somehow, local, family farm agriculture ended up on the "blue" side of the line and is regarded as hippies growing food for volvo driving yuppies because eggheads and bureacrats said it was good for them.

Eyore is a francophone.
That explains a lot.

That's because the global corporations control the message.
