Hello,
as everybody knows we've been lacking a site moderator for quite some time now. If there ever was one... Well I have been trying to bring awareness to this and so far my attempts haven't worked. First I posted a message on the Literotica boards, that went well. We gained some great new members. Then second I tried the "proper" way. I sent an e-mail to the moderator info@chyoo.com. I think that's the address. Well still I haven't heard anything back. So my third step is to spam them, as Lilguy would say.

I figure if I send the same message over and over atleast one has to get read... right? I am not sure what to do after this... if Step 3 fails. ANy ideas? Wish me luck. Tomorrow I shall Spam the Moderator. Maybe others can do the same? what do you think guys?

the old step of a story about nobody moderating this site would be good

but you do run the risk of getting banned by a piss off moderator

I think this threat is not much wiser than lilguy2´s Black Tuesday menace. The site owners have to make a living, and if you compare the number of users of Literotica and Chyoo, you understand how they put the priorities.
The only source of income to balance the costs of keeping this site online and looking after the stories is the money from the sponsors, probably based on click-throughs or new memberships on these pay sites, and this may well be to little to warrant much reprogramming effort.
And if they give moderator rights to someone else, they still remain with the legal responsibility for what´s on the site - and this may be critical.
After all, the site works, the submitted new stories are reviewed from time to time, and you obviously enjoy using it. If you´re not satisfied, you have (as usual in chyoo :D ) four options:

- look for something better elsewhere in the net
- learn how to program a web site and get rich by founding the ultimate flawless interactive story site
- buy chyoo from the literotica people and do with it whatever you want (but be careful not to be spammed)
- ask peacefully for improvement and in the meantime enjoy what´s there.

Your choice!

I have to say I agree with Marmot on this one.

The site is free, and obviously the site owners/moderators have decieded they don't care what we think at this point. Doesn't really matter why; the point is you can't have a conversation with someone who does not want to talk. We may get something we don't like by rocking the boat too much.

While there are many things that could be done better, and many things we as users would volunteer to help with, the bottom line is the site works OK now. I have a good time here which is all I really care about right now.

Now purchasing Chyoo is an interesting option. I wonder if they would entertain a price for the purchase? I wonder if it makes or loses money?

I say just periodically send an e-mail once a month or something and wait for something to change, hopefully for the better.

Thanks.

:D

dont think it giving them a hard time. Just getting thier attention

Hell a simole fuck off would be nice. I mean it is in there best intrest if they actully care if the site keeps running

I hate to say this...

... but I give up. Lately instead of wasting my time trying to gain some sort of moderator I have been focusing on my stories and other people's stories. Chyoo has been the ignored little sibling of Literotica all this time and that is most likely not going to change from a simple e-mail. The other choices don't look to entertaining.

- A site like Chyoo would probably be fairly expensive to maintain or purchase.

- I think by the time it took somebody to gain the knowledge of how to build a site similar this site would probably be improved by then.

- Looking for something else on the net wouldn't be the same. The people make Chyoo what it is. It wouldn't be the same without our dynamic members.

- Last option, enjoy what we have. By now most of us have ways around the site's flaws and they don't slow us down too much. I think the number of flaws keep the site's number of active members fairly small too. Which in many ways is better, because we only have the dedicated people.

So that is that. I didn't bother moving on to step 3, as I don't know if it would really help. Now I am off to enjoy the site which I have grown to love.
