Ever feel like you're fighting an imaginary opponent? Ever feel like you're fightng an uphill battle against forseen and unforseen enemies. Ever get confused between fantasy and reality? No? Too fucking bad, this is my thread and only people of vision and temerity need post. If you're lucky you will be added to my list of special people. :D

Hi Tillie. If I answer "yes" to all of the above questions, would you think about putting me on that list?

 TS

Ever dream the impossible dream TS?

Yes, and I've fought the unbeatable foe. Seems like I've been spending a lot of time bearing the unbearable sorrow lately, too

I'm still trying to figure out if lit is part of my reality or my fantasy. :D

I know you, I know your ways,
And yes, I hear the things you say,
But what you say and what you do
Are worlds apart, when you go...
Tilting at Windmills,
Chasing a dream through greenfields,
I lose track of your ideals,
I cannot keep up with you.
You are so unreal, you're so piecemeal,
You always say just what you feel.
But what you feel and what occurs
Are worlds apart, when you go...
Tilting at Windmills,
Chasing a dream through greenfields,
I lose track of your ideals,
I cannot keep up with you.
There is something in us all that makes somebody want to help,
But you're no good to the world when you're no good to yourself,
You're not sure if you even care, you're neither left or right,
You're just up in the air, you are...
Tilting at Windmills,
Chasing a dream through greenfields,
I lose track of your ideals,
I cannot keep up with you.
You are tilting at Windmills,
Chasing a dream through greenfields,
I lose track of your ideals,
I cannot keep up with you.

We all go through that Vinde. I think Lit is what we make of it. :D

Thanks Oman, I love the words. They speak to me...

I say yes to all of the above. In fact, I have a special phrase I coined exactly for this type of situation and I use it frequently to try to fight the unbeatable fight and dream the impossible dream:

"Never surrender to windmills."

pushing dirt ... tilling soil ... moving rocks ... planting trees ... all the fun things ya get to do when ya live in the sticks ... and can see the view ... with your eyes closed

I can see it now and you know you make me hot when you talk about working the earth. :D

No one can seduce like you ... Tell me about your welder now.

drag on the chaps ... file rasps across teeth ... protective gear ... heavy boots ... mix the "juice" ... pop the cap ... fill with "juice" ... wander off ... into the woods ... pull the cord ... with a roar ... the saw snaps to life ... felling trees ... limbing logs ... the rich pungent scent ... sawdust flies

Nothing like the smell of newly cut wood on a man. :)
