We had been eating for quite some time, but my guest hadn't said much at all. He appeared to be quite famished as he ate up his dinner. I had brought him a second plate and he attacked that with vigor as well. But reclining in his chair he asked me a question.

"So how long have you been here?"

I thought back for a bit, trying to remember first moving in.

"Well, not too long. Maybe about 4 months or so. This place was so big I didn't think I'd fit in, but it's been ok. It can get quite lonely however."

Darien smiled, seeing the look on her face as he wolfed down his food. As they sat relaxing, and she answered his question, he thought carefully. He smiled again, then looked at her. "How about dessert? And maybe you can join my downstairs for a movie or something."

Dessert? Ugh! I forgot about that.

"I am sorry, but I didn't make anything special. I do believe we have some ice cream in the freezer, and you are more than welcome to help yourself."

Darien nodded at me so I smiled as best I could.

"I did have some cleaning chores to do, but I suppose those can wait. I would like to watch a movie if you have something to put on."

I finished as I stood up from the table.

Darien smiled, then stood up slowly, and picked up his dishes, taking them to the kitchen. He was going to wash the dishes and then get them both some ice cream. He'd also take the time to think of what movie to watch. He had a lot of choices. He washed the dishes, and then dried them and put them away. Turning towards the freezer, he opened it, and came out with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. He looked through the cupboards, and found a canister of nut topping for it, and then grabbed a banana, and made them both banana splits. He put everything away, then came out with the dishes, and set one down in front of her, before moving around to the other side.

"Hope you like it."

Tifa watched as Darien proceeded to clean his own plate and fiddled around in the kitchen. Shrugging she decided that she didn't need to do any chores for the rest of the evening, she just decided to wait for her guest to come back and sit down.

"Hope you like it." He said as he placed a delicious looking sundae in front of her.

"Wow, you went all out. I hadn't thought to make anything like this since I've been here." She said. It didn't take too long to finish dessert.

"So, I thought I'd take you up on the movie offer now. I think my work can wait till tomorrow."

Darien smiled, then finished off his own sundae. He stretched, then started to stand up to take the dishes into the kitchen to clean them. "I have a bunch of movies, but are there any in particular you want to watch?"

Tifa tried to think about something they could both watch, but her mind just wasn't coming up with anything good. After he came back, she just shrugged her shoulders.

"I can't think of anything. You have anything we can watch? I'd show you what I have, but unfortunately they aren't my own tapes. They were left here by someone. Porno's I think. But well, I don't think we'll be watching those."

Darien smiled. She had accepted the idea, but had no ideas of what to watch. He thought through his collection, then shrugged. "I have a lot of sci fi, action, an absurd amount of anime."
