Karl - Iolantha - Avaline / Germany 1942

Karl listened to the story with disbelief, this young woman appeared to be telling him that they were time travellers, she apparently was from the future, and she didn’t say where or when the other younger girl was from, only that they’d met again recently.

She’d apparently summoned a Goddess in the future and been given a quest that took her to 264 BC after spending some time there and rescuing a gladiator. The two of them had turned up in his domain that day and had been unfortunate that Captain Ironside had done a sweep at the very time they appeared.

The statement of the younger girl now took on a different meaning, “We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time,” He found it difficult to believe, but what if it was true.

He could find out how the Third Reich was faring in the future, he would be in his nineties if he’d survived that long, or dead and buried.

“Tell me how much of the world is governed by the Third Reich in your days?” he said addressing Iolantha.. “And when did we manage to get the British to surrender,” he added.

With this information he could go to his superiors and tell them what to do so that they would be assured of victory. This all depended on these to girls having told him the truth, but the story was so far fetched it had to be true. Any normal spy would have spun a web of lies that had been carefully worked out before hand. These two had given him a story that no spy would even think of giving, he’d soon know when they answered his question.

OOC: Seems strange to be playing a member of the Gestapo and posting on Armistice Day here in the UK. My character was a real high ranking Gestapo member who was responsible for many deaths both friend or foe.

Avaline-Iolantha-Karl - - Germany 1942

Avaline heard his questions and squeezed Iolantha's hand. Iolantha knew as well as she did that they would have to be killed before they were allowed to change history so the Germany army defeated everyone they wished to conquer.

"Io, I am sorry my friend, but we can not answer any more of his questions," Avaline had little strength left in her, she could feel the pain in her stomach along with the one in her head building, and she knew that Iolantha was correct she did need to seek someone's assistance with this human body, but right now, she had to make sure they did not alter history in any way.

Taking a deep breath, she squeezed Iolantha's hand. "I'm Avaline, and I can not answer your questions that will give you or your enemies an advantage over one another. This is not my war, nor my friend's. We are travelers. She speakes the truth."

She closed her eyes for a moment and prayed for Zues to give her something, some way to communicate to this man that they spoke the truth. A date popped into her head, and her eyes flew open. She stood up, and walked to the calendar on the desk.

The man, Karl, watched her and she knew he would kill her if she did anything he found threatening. "Today is June 23rd, 1942. Germany will attack Egypt tomorrow on June 24th 1942." She prayed that this man had no papers proclaiming this knowledge, she hoped it was something that he knew that even if he had papers she would have no way of knowing this.

"We will not tell you anything else. You will have to kill us, for you can not change time. The longer we remain here, the more time we are altering. Zues only plays with the insignificate in history. The ones that are supposed to die young and have no life that alters fates of nations."

She moved back to her seat, her body falling into her chair, and her skin paling. "You either believe us or not. But Io and I will tell you nothing more." She closed her eyes and breathed deep as the pain ripped through her. Avaline bit down on her lip and curled into a ball, gently she laid her fingers on Iolantha's sleeve.

"I'm sorry my friend, I have failed you." Avaline breathed quietly and her eyes closed, as she welcomed a black void of darkness.

Sorry!!!

[OOC: Moving... sucks]

Raymond had wanted to help, but he didn't see anything he could do to aid the woman who had apparently saved him. He had been in a daze, trying over and over to comprehend everything that had happened. An hour, three, who knows how long he remained in that alley like an idiot. By the time he had finally made up his mind to help poor Io, Zeus went and picked him up!

"Great, wonderful timing. Way to go Raymond, that's what you get for having your head stuck up in the clouds..." Raymond muttered spitefully to himself.

Raymond did find a beautiful woman in the room, lying on a ridiculously large bed wearing clothes that were hardly on and beyond his imagination. A large part of him wanted to just give in and forget about what happened. Something else did too, which was starting to become painful since he never did get any other clothes.

"Damnit... I'm going to regret this so damned much. Sorry." Raymond turned and exited the room, and began to walk down the great hall.

"HEY! What about that woman? Is she alright? Why didn't you save her instead?!" Raymond yelled, not really knowing if anyone was listening.

Zues and Raymond... Zues' pad

Zues patted Hetta on the butt and whispered he'd be with her in a moment. He turned back and walked to where Raymond was yelling. He rolled his eyes and returned to the main room. Once Raymond was with him he looked him over.

"Now... she is safe, sorta and for now. . . no longer your concern. However. I do have another woman that is in need of guidance. I will send you to her," Zues said. His eyes looked at the young man in front of him.

"You know. . . you humans are a fickle bunch, always floating here and there. I believe you float more then a God or Goddess does." He stood up and motioned for Raymond to follow him. Once at the edge of a table he showed Raymond a map.

Zues looked at the young man and thought for a moment, then came to a decision. "I'm going to give you something I've not given anyone else on these quests and neither had Avaline."

His fingers traveled across several trails on the map and as it did so the landscapes of the area changed. "You need to use this map to help the woman called Wyn and her silent brooding companion Scytherin. If he is still around.. you know what." Zues cocked his head.

Zues grinned, "He is no different then the anyone else. You go Raymond, go and you will be Wyn's companion the young man Scytherin, he will sit in this palace until he is ready to begin a real journey. So go now... go to Greenland and seek out the friendship of the one called Wyn and her sisters. Help her on her quest."

With a point of his finger and a simple lift of his brow, Raymond was pulled through time and space and deposited softly on his rump right next to Wyn. Scytherin now stood looking at Zues, "Go to that woman in the chambers. Perhaps you can figure out what to do with her."

Zues shook his head.... "Good grief Avaline and Richard find yourselves all ready." He moved quickly back to his wife and knew she would make his headache go away with forming a different one to ache instead.

Greenland, apparently/Wyn/Raymond

Gathering himself up, Ramond paused and shut his eyes, cursing silently in his mind that he had still not been given proper clothing since he was plucked out of the swimming pool at the college.

"So... you're Wyn?" Raymond asked as he looked the woman over.

Io/Avaline/Karl/Germany/1942

As I watch Avaline crumbles before my eyes, lost into a black void of nothingness. Panic fills me as I try to reach for her to pull her into my arms, holding her to me, I begin to speak softly to her. Brushing her soft hair away from her face, amazed at how beautiful she truly was.

"No Avaline hun you did not fail me. I failed you, I asked for that which I should have known would come to me if I had just waited the time it would need. Please huney hold on for me, Richard will come, wait and see, he will come and take you away."

Looking up to the man before us, "is she correct? If she is then know I speak the truth as does she but she must live. Please I beg of you she needs help, I do not know what is wrong with her but she must." I heard the plea in my voice and preyed the man would listen to me and help her.

Beginning a slow rock back and forth letting the tears fall slowly down my face. Somehow I knew that she was dying and there was nothing I could do to help her, it was out of my hands. Closing my eyes I send a silent preyer to the heavens above. "Please if your listening please let this man help her, she needs to live to be with Richard. If it is a life you want then take mine I give it to you freely for her just give her back to her true love. They need and love each other so very much. Please!"

Karl - Iolantha - Avaline / Germany 1942

Karl listened to Avaline and saw her crumble, the colour of her face and skin convinced him that she was seriously ill, and probably in danger of dying.

“Guards” he shouted. The door opened and a soldier entered. “Yes! Sir!” he asked seeing the two girls still seated.

“Get the doctor quickly, one of the girls needs his attention,” Karl ordered. The guard turned and hurriedly left the room. A few minutes later an SS Captain entered in a hurry.

“You sent for me sir?” he addressed Karl.

“Yes! One of the girls needs medical treatment. I don’t know what’s wrong with her she just crumbled into a heap and from the colour of her skin there appears to be something seriously wrong with her,” Karl informed the doctor.

“I’ll have to move her to the infirmary,” the doctor informed Karl after giving Avaline a quick cursory examination. “We’ll need a stretcher, I doubt that she can walk,” he said to the guard that had entered with him.

“I want two guards to remain with her at all times, even while you’re examining her,” Karl told the doctor as two soldiers entered with a stretcher to carry Avaline to the infirmary.

“You will remain here with me,” Karl told Io as she appeared to be ready to get up and follow her friend. The doctor left with the two guards carrying Avaline on the stretcher, leaving Io alone with Karl.

“As to your question about the invasion of Egypt, I don’t know if she is correct or not, I haven’t been informed of any plans in that direction,” Karl told Io.

“Now tell me more about this amazing time travelling that you’ve been doing, your friend hinted that you couldn’t give me information because of interference with the time line. But surely you and your sisters have interfered enough to have already made changes, even if they are little ones. Over a period of time small changes can multiply creating greater changes, maybe the outcome of the war has already been changed just by your presence here. We of this time wouldn’t know, and you’ll only find out if you ever return to your own time,” Karl said.

Karl wondered what he was going to do with the two girls, even with the little information Avaline had given him, if it was true they’d both be shot as spies if anybody else found out about it. He knew that Avaline would probably be kept in the infirmary for at least a couple of days, during that time he had to decide what to do with Io sitting here in the office with him.

He could if he chose have her keep his bed warm at night, but he was loathed to force any woman into his bed. The other option was to have her locked in one of the cells at night. He’d have to think about it and see how she reacted, if he decided to give her the choice.

Avaline - NPC's at Infimary - Germany 1942

Avaline felt two men lift her up and lay her on a cold sheet, she whimpered as they rolled her away, unable to speak she had no chance to say a goodbye to Iolantha, only whisper the words, “I’m sorry.”

She felt every bump and curve that the driver took as he made his way toward the infirmary. Night had fallen long ago and she opened her eyes for a moment. Avaline looked into the clouds and knew her friends were up there watching her. They hadn’t abandoned her, and though she knew they cared for her she also knew that they would allow her to live or not live, it was only up to Zues, or whoever he had placed in charge of her punishment.

Once at the infirmary, the two guards lifted her frail body onto a small bed. She laid there her arms crossed over her stomach and her body curled in a ball. When the doctor came over to her, it was all she could do to listen to him.

“Lay on your back dear,” he told her.

Avaline nodded her head, and did as she was asked, each movement bringing winces and cries of pain from her lips. The doctor looked over at the guards who were watching Avaline and he noticed their eyes full of lust as they waited for the doctor to begin his exam.

“Go stay by the door and wait. You were told to remain in the room, you weren’t told to watch her,” he said his voice full of dripping rage. “The fool didn’t need you two staying. Shit... she can’t even walk right now; did he think she was going to overtake us on the way here or when she was just with me? Damn fool... she sure the hell can’t vanish into thin air.”

He waited till the men were at the door, and then pulled a curtain around Avaline and the bed. A nurse appeared at his side and together they removed Avaline’s clothing, and then washed their hands before beginning her exam and taking several blood samples. The nurse took her pulse as well as her temperature, “She is feverish,” she told the doctor.

“Aye... I knew that,” he answered back.

Avaline barely heard them, and when the doctor pushed on her stomach, she came up from her lying position and vomited what she had eaten at the house. Blood and food coated the sheet and bed, then she feel back down and begged him not to touch her again.

That wish was unanswered as she was cleaned, covered and then moved over to another bed, where the exam continued. “Let’s give her something to get asleep and then we’ll go over results when they come in.”

The nurse nodded her head, inserted a needle into Avaline and soon the Goddess was fast asleep, her dreams a secret except to her heart, where she held a special man close to her. “Richard,” his name whispered from her lips as she succumbed completely to the surrounding darkness, the pain now a dull ache eased slightly by the medicine.

Io/Karl/Germany/1942

I watched them take Avaline out leaving me alone with the man who had saved us. Wanting to follow with the men, but hearing the man Karl tell me to stay I thought it best not to argue. He was actually trying to help and I could tell that though he hadn't actually said he believed me, he didn't say he didn't either.

Turning my head quietly I watch him, his eyes following the backs of those leaving the room. Honestly he wasn't that bad looking, a strong jawline sharp eyes, but to me it seemed that under all that strength there would be a warm smile and laughter in his eyes.

"What will you do with me now?" Asking this quietly I wait for his answer.

"So... you're Wyn?" Raymond asked as he looked the woman over.

Wyn watched in amazement as Scytherin dissapeared and another man reapeared on his ass right next to her. He was dressed in swimming and wasnt bad looking, but she couldnt help wondering what had happened to Scytherin and if he was alright.

Glancing at Raven and then back to the man infront of her as he spoke she couldnt help but laugh slightly. Yes i am Wyn and i am sorry for laughing but it seems the gods are messing with us again. I truly hope Io, and our other sister's are doing better.

Smiling as she stopped laughing her expression a little more serious she looked at him and said. This is one of my sisters Raven... and you know i am Wyn... Please who are you? Wyn asked extending her hand for him to shake feeling bad for having laughed, and hoped that he understood and hadnt taken offence. For it had not been intended as such.

Wyn and Scytherin....oops a different guy...and Raven .......Somewhere warm

Raven had her back turned and was wanting to get to the shelter she saw in the distance when she heard another voice behind her and it was not of Wyn's or Scytherin. Turning back she sees someone else sitting in the place that Scytherin just was. He was very good looking and dressed odd...which was funny in itself because so were they.

These immortal beings liked to play with our heads a bit. Looking this one over ...she shrugs unnoticably and walks back to them and smiles sweetly and offers her hand to the newcomer.

"Hi I am Raven...nice to meet you.....what is your name hun?

“I have a number of options, probably the worst of which is to hand you over to my men for their sport,” he told her laughing at the look of horror on her face. “But that’s the last thing I want to do, I’d prefer one of my other choices. For now I want to make sure your friend is going to be alright,” he added his face going serious again.

“We’ll take a little walk over to the infirmary wing and see what the doctor can tell us,” he told her. “We can talk on the way there,” he said as he got up indicating that Io should come with him. They left the office and the two guards fell in behind them, walking along the corridor Karl said to Io. “How long have you know Avaline, you were a bit vague when you said that the two of you had just met again,”

They walked up a flight of stairs and along another corridor entering a room set out as a hospital ward with the two guards standing just inside the door. Karl walked over to the curtained area and opened the curtains, finding the doctor, an orderly and Avaline who was apparently sleeping.

“What have you found Doctor, is she going to recover,” he asked.

“We’ve given her something to make her sleep, and are going to do some tests on her,” the doctor replied.

“The guards must be able to see her at all times, even if its only her head, from the story they’ve told and something she told me they are either spies or the best discovery to happen to the Third Reich since the start of the war. You don’t need to know what but she told me something that is only known to a few officers, I only know because my uncle told me about it. You’ll know tomorrow when it happens, so you see how important it is that she’s guarded properly, and recovers,” he informed the Captain.

“Now you’ve seen your friend is in good hands, we’ll return to the office and decide what to do with you for the night,” Karl told Io as he turned towards the door. Confident that Avaline was getting the best treatment his doctor could give her, and she was well guarded.

They returned to Karl’s office, where he took out a bottle of wine and filled two glasses, putting one on the table by Io he sipped the other.

“Now what shall we do with you?” he asked, he hadn't decided himself which was the best option. He certainly wasn't going to give her to the guards.

Io/Karl/Germany/1942

“I have a number of options, probably the worst of which is to hand you over to my men for their sport,” I could feel myself pale at his words. Would he actually give me to his men for sport and if so what would happen to Avaline? I wanted to throw myself at his feet and beg for my life amoung other things, but I knew that it wouldn't help. Then his next words help calm me some but his first words stayed with me. “But that’s the last thing I want to do, I’d prefer one of my other choices. For now I want to make sure your friend is going to be alright,”

What kind of man would tell a girl that he was just going to give her to his men for sport? I mean I knew that the place and time that we were in things like that happened but, I never thought about it actually happening, at least not to me.

As we walk to the infirmary I keep pace with him but make sure to keep my distance, weary as to what this man was all about. Either he had to think we were spies or out of our minds, but he was willing to take care of Avaline and that was all that mattered to me at this time.

“How long have you know Avaline, you were a bit vague when you said that the two of you had just met again,”

"We have been friends for only a short time actually but we have known each other for much longer. She has always seemed to be there with me, watching over me and guiding me on my way threw all the ups and downs of my life." Even though Karl was my capture I found it easy to talk to him. He just seemed to listen to my words, as if they mattered what I was saying. But then again if he thought I was a spy then of course they mattered to him, he would think that maybe I could tell him more on this war of his.

Our trip to the infirmary didn't take us long and before I knew it I was standing beside Avaline's bed watching her sleep quietly. Her laying there so quietly made me feel so alone. She couldn't die, she just had to get better, listening to the Doctor he didn't seem to know what was wrong with her and it made me think of Richard. Did he know that the women he loved was on a bed in germany 1942 fighting for her life?

“Now you’ve seen your friend is in good hands, we’ll return to the office and decide what to do with you for the night,” What would he do with her for the night? In fear I follow Karl back to his office, sitting down quietly in the chair I watch Karl pour out two glasses of wine. His eyes watching me quietly in speculation as I sit trying to be as small as I possiabliy can.

“Now what shall we do with you?” Again those words come from him to haunt me like a bad dream. Giving a slow shake of my head, lowering my eyes to look at my feet. I feel my pulse beating in rapid succession with the fear in my heart.

"I won't run from you I promise, I know your thinking we are spies but I have told you as much of the truth as I can. Its hard to believe I know it is, but in our time magic happens, things happen that can't be explained." Giving a small sigh of desperation before looking up to Karl once more. Seeing him not only as my capture but as a man of this day and time. I could understand why he didn't or couldn't believe our story. Magic in this day and age would have been unheard of and it would cause a problem for him as to how to handle the situation. The fact that he had taken us out of the first problem and was indeed taking care of Avaline told me that he wasn't as bad as I had first thought.

Lowering my eyes to the floor once more, "Thank you for all that you have done so far. No matter the outcome, I appreciate what you are trying to do for Avaline."

Avaline/Doctor... (ummmm... Richard... are you up there?)

The doctor looked down on the woman, if she were dieing she would be meeting her maker soon. He hated this war and all it stood for, no one knew this, no one but him. He looked at the two guards and the smirks on their faces. They had heard the orders that he was to allow them to see the woman at all times, well that was fine now. Because what they were going to see of her, would turn most men's stomachs and he didn't think these two would stay around for long.

"You heard the orders you were given. So go clean up and sterilize yourself, I'll see you in surgery," the doctor almost laughed when he saw the pale expressions on the guards face. Then he noticed that they both were eyeing the woman and the doctor.

"I'll not tell him you didn't see her the whole time, it will remain our secret. She can't go anywhere if she has her belly ripped open now can she??"

They said nothing, but parted as the doctor and the nurse pushed the woman to another room. More drugs were pumped into her system and soon the doctor was preparing surgery on the beautiful creature. He knew only partly what was wrong with her and so he would deal with one problem at a time.

The cramping was quickly explained as a ruptured appendicitis, so the surgery itself would be routine. Her body was weak and he highly doubted the frail creature would survive the operation and if by some miracle she did, the recovery would be another battle she fought. Soon the sounds of machines surrounded the doctor, nurse and the female they were working on. Her body now thick with drugs kept her still and unmoving.

As he began to make the first incesion, he begged for her to live, but if it were time to go, he begged it would be quick. The hours moved slowly as he went about his work, hands remained steady as each cut was made into her thin flesh. He cringed when he saw the insides of her body, racked with blood, blood that should not have been there. The nurse worked along side him, and later they together removed the useless appendix.

He looked up to his partner and together they searched for the cause of the woman's internal bleeding. Organs were moved and shifted and then the nurse cursed softly. The doctor looked up and saw her face, noted the anger in it and placed his hand where hers were inside the woman. She moved her hand and began gatherering more supplies that they would need.

He hung his head and felt the seperation of the abdominal aorta. It was small and the fact that the woman had lived this long was a miracle itself. Slowly time crawled as once again the doctor tried to patch together a woman that seemed to be no threat to anyone, and as serious as her condition would be, she'd never be a bother to anyone again either.

The doctor and the nurse closed the small tear, and then the doctor stitched the woman closed. His body sagged from exhaustion and he noticed the time, he ordered the nurse to clean the woman up, and he went back to his office where he collapsed in his chair. He would tell the officer tomorrow morning about the woman; tonight, he needed his sleep.

In the morning, if she lived, he would begin more treatments, to feed and replenish her body. "I will have to have her friend come and see her soon... in case it is the last time for them to be together." He really didn't see her making it through the night, but he also had no energy to get the woman's friend or the Officer Karl at this moment.

Wyn, Raven, Raymond, Not sure What Time, Someplace Warm?

"Io... she was being chased by Nazi's when I last saw her. She saved me..." Raymond said quietly as he gathered himself up, and winced slightly, still having a bit of trouble downstairs since he saw that amazing women back... wherever he was.

Realizing what their next question would probably be, he answered before the two women could ask.

"She's fine, apparently. I'm Raymond, from 2005. The old guy with the beard gave me this map for some reason." Raymond shook Wyn's hand politely and then looked at the two women with an impish grin.

"Please tell me one of you have spare clothes. These trunks are starting to cut off my circulation." Raymond said with a short, forced laugh in an attempt to lighten the mood.

He was still worried about Iolantha.

Zues stared down on the woman in the hospital, watched her closely continuous thoughts and doubts assailing his mind.

“Are you going to let her die?” Hetta asked.

He looked back at his wife, “It isn’t I that will let her die. I told him... I told him if he didn’t love her, she’d die and if she didn’t love him she’d die. He started this path, not I.” He saw the look in his wife’s eyes and he felt a stab of shame. “It isn’t in my hands Hetta... not anymore.”

"Well... it is obvious she loves him!"

Zues hung his head, "Then I guess we will know the reason she dies then won't we."

Hetta said nothing, only glared and walked away. She had no words for her husband, but inside she knew he was right. He would not interfere with the laws that had been set forth. If Avaline died in her mortal state she was lost to all of them, and Zues would watch over the others.

She settled down and waited, watched and waited for the beautiful Goddess to recover or slip away from all of them that held her close.

Zues allowed his wife to leave his side, his heart heavy with indecision. Was all this his fault, did he give a man power and was blinded by the wants of seeing his good friend Avaline happy, and didn’t see that perhaps this man didn’t love her? He had no answers for what Richard was doing, but he hoped he saw the woman, saw her suffering. Zues would not interfere, if she left them then it was her time, and he would make sure the humans suffered greatly for it.

He pressed a kiss to Avaline’s head, and left his palace. His thoughts taking him into a battle where he worked off anger so as not to return to his mate in a fit of heated rage, a rage he felt deep in his gut, would soon be one of pure pain. Something told him, something deep down inside told him, that if Richard didn’t act soon, Avaline would be lost to them.

No i am sorry we dont have any other cloths as you can see i am not exactly dressed for this weather ether... Now about Io what happend for her to be chaces by Nazi's and Why didnt you help her??? Wyn said accepting the map and handing it to Raven.

Raymond seemed to be a great guy so far but if he had left Io behind on purpose Wyn was going to skin him alive..., but then again knowing Io she probably cast some sort of spell on him to keep him safe and took off on her own as usuhal, or the gods had jerked him away before he could help which in ether case Io was in trouble and they couldnt help. Damn it Wyn thought i wish i handt lost the broch the goddess had given me... thats the last time i get into a pool.

Still looking at Raymond Wyn waited for his awncers seeing the look on his face Wyn new what ever had happend to Io was not his fault and he was just as worried about Io as she and Raven were. I am sorry i jumped its just well Io is our older sister and this whole thing has been rough on EVERYONE involved including the gods and goddesses i am sure.. Wyn said...

Raymond, Wyn, Raven, ? AD/BC, ? Greenland ?

When the two women were finished inspecting the map Raymond took it back and coughed when Wyn asked why he didn't help.

You're right, I should have done something, but she made me disappear somehow and I assumed she could do the same. It wasn't like I didn't -want- to help her, but I thought she'd disappear and then we'd go on our way again. Raymond said angrily, upset at the accusation. In truth, he was actually very angry with himself.

Damnit, I knew this was going to eat me up. Raymond thought bitterly as he tried not to ogle the two women. It was a terrible thing to do under the circumstances, but it wasn't like he could help it.

Why do all these women have to be so friggin' beautiful? It's really distracting...

Raven Wyn and Raymond.......Inca Temples , South America...year unknown

Shaking her head upon hearing about Io...Raven inspected the map with Wyn and listened to Raymond as he told of what happened before he landed here with them. Looking at him in the swimming trunks was most distracting and she tried real hard not to look down, but it was useless...and he definately deserved to be comfortable and clothed, as to not distract them from what they needed to do.

Raven had an idea...it was the best that she could come up with considering their resources at hand. Walking past the two she scooped up the winter wear that Wyn discarded earlier and said sweetly to Raymond, "I am sorry but this is all we have in means of clothing...it will have to do and well....it should fit somewhat. At least it is something and you will be covered and can get out of those trunks".

Handing the clothing that they brought from Greenland to Raymond, she couldn't help but notice how he was looking at them and smiled as he excused himself to change into whatever fit him of the articles of clothing. Removing her zippered inner vest lining from her jacket she called out to him behind a boulder and threw it over to him, to have at least something lighter than the furs they had.

With her hands on her hips Raven smiled bravely at Wyn, feeling the fear she had for their sister Io...and knowing that there was nothing they could do to help at the moment. In a calming tone she spoke to Wyn, "Sweetie she will be fine, you know her as well as I do and she would do anything to get back together with us. I am sure she is trreying her best from her end and we will need to hurry and do what we can to finish this blasted quest to get back to them as well. Stay strong, we need to for her and for ourselves".

Hugging her sister, Raven smiled softly, holding her and humming softly to calm her , but be damned she could not get Raymond out of her head...He was very fine to look at. Her thoughts ran quickly through her head as to what they needed to do next.
"We need to get started once he is ready and get this gift for the goddess out of the way so that we may get back...now I am open to suggestions but ..this gift needs to be the best that we can find in this time befitting a Goddess. I say we go for the gold that has been said to be here...there is so much and it is plentiful and ..who doesn't want gold right? Perhaps there is a object of gold that we can present to her and with my brooch we will return back with it and be done...What do you think?"

Raven spied over her sister's shoulder Raymond, emerging from behind the
boulder, stifling her amusement, and trying hard to look serious, she motioned
with her head to Wyn to turn around.

Raymond felt rather... well, silly wearing these clothes, but Raven was right. They were infintely better then his trunks, and they were large enough that he didn't have to wear his trunks anymore.

Finally! Freedom! At least they can't tell I could prop up a friggin' tent now. It'd seem... I don't know, dishonouring to their sister if I stood around them with a hard on all the time.

"Well, that map should be able to point you in the direction of anything you want. Just... well, I'm not really sure how it works exactly. I think you just point to someplace on it, or think about what you want. The, person who gave it me wasn't very clear on the details of how it works. Thanks for the clothes by the way, I don't think I'll need those bloody trunks anymore! Raymond said in a genuinely cheerful voice. It was amazing how much better one felt when one wasn't constrained.

I dont know.. If she wanted gold she could get that at any time with a wave of her hand. We can get the treasure but what if that is not what she ment by a gift... What if the gift a god or godess cant get on their own is .. i dont know something that has to be given like compassion, love, understanding, or something like that???? Such as courage? What if those are the best gifts of each age??

Then we will have waisted time searching for a treasure when we should have done something else. I think that maybe we should pray to Avaline for guidance.
Wyn said answering Raven while Raymond changed her humming helping to calm Wyn down and she understood what her sister was saying, but she couldnt help thinking that their sister was more important, than a treasure, but she also knew that they needed to find a gift for their goddess as well.

Thinking of Io also reminded her of Richard and it reminded her of a hide and seek game they used to play when they were younger they were able to hide themselves but they had never tryed hidding more than one person or someone along with them. So it was possable that Io had been hoping it would work and hadnt.

Seeing the look on her sisters face Wyn new Raymond was done changing and turned to face him. I am sorry if i upset you earler... it was wrong of me to hint that you had left her. You were veg in your details when you started explaining and ... Well any way i appologize you dont know what we can or cant do. All of us are rather very protective of the others. Wyn said noticing that the clothing didnt look the best but fit him better than the swim shorts had.

Wyn had to hide her smile though because even tho she had been angry about Io's taking charge as ushual and took it out on him it was rather hard not to notice his hard on as he moved behind the bolder to change clothing.

"Don't worry about it. I just get upset easily. It's, kind of a problem I have. Anyways, what do you want to... what? Raymond asked as he noticed the two women had been staring at him ever since he arrived.

He looked at himself and wondered if he really did look as ridiculous as he felt, then noticed his damn erection was still blatantly obvious, although not as much as it had been when he was wearing his trunks.

"Shit. Ah, sorry. It's been... rough. I don't mean to, well, it feels wrong, because I also liked your sister. Erm. I'm sure it'll go away eventually. Where did you two want to go? Raymond stammered as he realigned his warddrobe to hide everything beneath his waist as best he could.

Karl - Iolantha / Germany 1942

Lowering my eyes to the floor once more, "Thank you for all that you have done so far. No matter the outcome, I appreciate what you are trying to do for Avaline."

Karl listened to what Io had to say, he hadn’t made his mind up whether they were spies or not, when she started talking about magic he was convinced that she was out of her mind. The strange thing was their story was so far fetched that any spy wouldn’t be talking the way they were, a spy would have a plausible story that could be partially checked and confirmed. This worried him, if they weren’t spies then he was going to have to believe their story no matter how strange it appeared.

He was worried about Avaline but had to try to keep Io from worrying too much. He knew that if anybody could save her the doctor could, but that didn’t stop him from worrying.

“I don’t know if you realise but your friend is seriously ill, I’ve seen many men hurt in this war but never have I seen one look like her. The only good thing about it is the doctor is one of the best surgeons in the Third Reich, I don’t now why he was sent here but thank the gods he was. If anybody can save your friend he can, I’ve seen him save people that other doctors have given up for dead. I’m sure he’ll let us know if we’re needed urgently,” Karl told Io sounding really concerned about the situation.

"We have been friends for only a short time actually but we have known each other for much longer. She has always seemed to be there with me, watching over me and guiding me on my way threw all the ups and downs of my life."

“You say that you and Avaline have only been friends for a short time, but you’ve know each other for much longer. She’s always looked out for you and guided you through your life. You mean like a guardian angel?” Karl asked.

He still had to decide what to do with Io for the night, although he was concerned about Avaline he knew that she was in the best possible hands to pull her through. Io on the other hand was a bit of a problem, he’d thought about taking her to his bed so he was sure the guards would have similar ideas. He couldn’t put her in the cells below the mansion, he knew that the guards down there took full advantage of any women prisoners. Putting her in a guarded bedroom could have the same results, the only way he could ensure her safety was for her to sleep in his room. Having made his decision Karl got up and walked to the door opening it.

“Have another bed made up in my room,” he ordered one the guards outside the door. Closing the door he returned to his desk.

“I’ve decided that the safest place for you overnight is in my room. I’ve ordered an extra bed be made up there, if I put you anywhere else you’re liable to be gang raped,” Karl told Io.

“I’ll be sleeping in the same room so you wont be bothered by the guards, and I’ve no intention of touching you. That’s the best I can offer at the moment, until we determine that you’re a friend or foe, you’re a prisoner and the guards take full advantage of all prisoners. I hope my decision is suitable for you, the choice is yours,” Karl told Io.

Io/Karl/Germany/1942

Nodding my head slightly, understanding that what he said was the truth. Germany at this time of frame was a harsh world and men did not take a woman's virtue into reguards. Still the thought of sharing a room even with Karl worried me, even with him ordering a seprate bed for me it just didn't seem right in some way.

"Avaline will make it through the night she is strong and I have faith in my Goddess that she will make it." I knew the slight wouldn't be caught, Karl would just think that I was talking about a Goddess and not Avaline, but still the worry was there. Avaline couldn't die, she was thee Goddess of Love if there was no Goddess of Love life would be boring and cold.

"Karl if it would help and if I may, I would like to show you something. But please know I will not do anything to run or hide from you. Nor will I try to escape, while Avaline is here I am bound to stay with her."

Watching for his reaction, seeing his head nod slightly indicating that I might continue. Lifting my hands slowly so as not to be taken as anything other then what I was going to do. I place them to the top of my hair, brushing my fingers slowly through the silken folds, knowing that as I do the color is changing from that of its normal color to another.

"This is what we call glamor us sisters use to play with simple tricks when we were growing up." Saying this I bring my hands down showing that my hair is now a brown in color instead of the silver blonde of its normal coloring. Looking up to the man I see his eyes grow wide and his hand reach for the weapon on his waist. Staying seated not making any movements watching him to see if I was going to die this instant or if he would believe us now.

"I am still Io and this is just a simple trick, it can not harm you nor anyone else. But I believe you are trying to deside if magic is real or not, this is a small example. Though with my sisters I am stronger as is my magic, by myself I can not do much."

Lifting my hands once more I concentrate and brush my fingers through my hair once more. Taking it back to the normal silvery blonde, letting it fall about my shoulders softly in waves of light.

"Magic does exist in my time, please you have to believe me. I know you are doing the best you can for Avaline and I do so greatly appreciate it. But we are not spies, we are just two travelers lost in your time."

I felt tears well up in my eyes, and I quickly lower them so he would not see them. No one was to see me cry, it was just a simple rule I had made of myself one that I had kept until now. All the distress of the past few days, not knowing where my sisters were, Avaline and now being stuck here with no Gods or Goddess's to call upon had finally caught up with me.
