Raven and Eddie ~1929 ~Wichita

Stepping out onto the sidewalk...I was so not expecting Eddie to take me into his arms and swing me around...I let out a gasp as he did so and couldn't help but smile and then giggle softly, especially as he flashed me that incredible smile of his. It was a smile that could melt a block of ice.

"This is excellent. I think we are on track. Now, I need you to do something for me. We need a base of operations. A motel, hotel, something that is big enough for two... if not three of us. Just in case someone wants to have a little privacy, you know what I mean?"

Setting me down on the ground again...he told me what he wanted me to
do....alright...a plan..this was good...he was most eager...what luck...not only did he not think I was a kook but he was ok with it all and was willing to help like gangbusters....it was great...I could not contain my smile at his eagerness.

I let the comment about needing room for three of us pass over my head...thinking he just made a mistake or slip...it happens...no worries...privacy ...well he didnt seem shy really...but then again...if he felt that he needed it ...I would be ok with that...after all we were strangers and all...so that was cool too.

"Get anything you think we need. I'll stick around here and do a little research. I'll meet you over at that general store in about an hour, ok? We have a plan, we're about to find our gift, and by tonight, I think that little Goddess of yours is going to be very happy."

This was too awesome...I just stood there and he was thinking and planning and he figured we would have it all done by tonight...this was too good to be true...I never figured it could go so quickly and so well too. He was incredible....and I was just too busy being mesmerized by his whole get it done attitude...I was a bit flustered by the speed in which he was so willing to help me.

Did he have character...true character...well damn...if he didnt have it...I am not sure who would...I mean here he was helping a stranger likwe me and not thinking of himself...and had the most wholesome intent in aiding me....The whole idea that I needed to find out if he had true character....was totally mistaken and was probably meant for someone else.

"Alright...that sounds wonderful Eddie...you are the best you know that?"

Then he kissed me. His warm soft lips were just there...shocked me...but ...it felt so nice....to be in a sweet caring man's arms and having him kiss me out of the blue like that...one word came to mind....wow. I melted into his kiss...then he pulled back...I was unable to say a word ...just stood there blinking at him....then he apologized....what a sweetheart. I was stuck on stupid...I shook my head gently and blushed,

"No...it was fine Eddie...really....it was fine...I kind of got caught up in the moment as well...you did nothing wrong really"

"So...I will meet you back at the general store in an hour...ok...good luck with your research...see you in a bit"

I walked away from him and wanted to look back but dared not to. That would be too corny on my part. Laughing quietly to myself , I went off to find what the things we needed...not exactly sure what those would be...but it may come to me as I looked around...and I needed to get a room too. One that had two rooms. For his privacy and mine.

Lily felt a stirring of butterflies in her stomach and wondered if it were just the fact that Michiko had made her more aware of feelings she hadn't had in years, or if it were the public scrutiny that she was sure was happening. Looking around she realized she was the one with the problem. Michiko hadn't noticed anyone staring at them, Jake wasn't bothered by her holding the woman's hand, only Tim had said something, and Jake had handled it.

She looked over to her brother, and realized he was watching how she interacted with Michiko. Her fingers were still curled with the Samurai's, and she had done nothing to untangle them. She shrugged her shoulders at Jake, and smiled back to Michiko. "A Cheeseburger and Fries it is then."

The waitress came over, took their orders, and Lily ordered sodas for her and Michiko. Jake ordered a burger and fries along with the girls, and before long they were each enjoying their meals, and drinks.

Lily had released Michiko's hand in order to eat, but something pulled at her to stay in contact with her. Without question her body just seemed to relax and radiate toward the woman, her whole being just felt as if it were at home. Her thigh was now pressed against Michiko's and Lily felt as if she had to keep it there, as if touching Michiko was what was something her body craved. So as the meal and conversation progressed so did Lily's emotional roller coaster.

When Jake asked Michiko about life in Japan during her time, Lily was finally brought back to the world, and wiped her hand on the napkin. She turned toward Michiko, and placed one hand on the back of the booth's chair. Her fingers just a hair's breath from Michiko's hair. She longed to touch it, to see if it was as soft as it looked.

Avaline ~ 1929 ~ Witchita, Kansas

Avaline was by the young ones side, her disguise as a human working as a nurse, one that she enjoyed immensely, when she felt the pull of her power. She kissed the young childs brow, sending her images of unicorns, and fairies, while her body was slowly eased from its illness. In a week the child would be well, and the doctor would be praised, for his great wealth of knowledge.

"Be well, little one," she whispered, as she waved goodbye to the other sick children. She moved quietly from the hospital, and went in search for a place to rest. After a short glide across the streets, her feet barely touching the ground she found an Inn to rest at.

"Hello," she smiled at the man behind the counter.

"Ma'am, Welcome to the Witchita Family Inn, what might I do for you?" he smiled back.

She pulled the required money from the folds of her nurses uniform, and asked for a room. "Just a simple one please."

He gave her the key, and told her how to find her way there. With a thank you she made her way up the steps, and to her room. Once inside, she relaxed on the bed, and allowed her body to rest. Her heart hurt, for she knew her name was beginning its entry into the book of life... she would have chuckled had it been any other day over the stupid name. "Book of Death," she sighed, her tears fell from her eyes, then her body claimed its rest.

Jake, Lily, and Michiko - 2005

Michiko sat back, her raven black her washing over Lily's hand. It was as soft as it looked, maybe even softer. Soon after, a hand rested on Lily's thigh, giving it a squeeze before massaging the skin. If she looked, she saw it was Michiko's. She cleared her throat, looking out the window as she pondered how to best explain the way her life had been.

"The land was very beautiful, full of life. I used to enjoy laying in the fields and watching the clouds go by. There is not much I can say about my homeland, I spent much of my time away from the outside world. I studied to be a warrior," That hand moved up from Lily's leg, resting over the back of their booth, wrapping around Lily gently. That hand took her shoulder, beginning to give it a slow, amazing, massage.

"I do not miss my homelad so much, as long as I am here," A smile came to her lips, her leg pressing back against Lily's as she felt that urge to get closer grow. She couldn't completely give in, otherwise she would find herself in Lily's lap. But this was just fine for right now.

Richard’s words had helped Wyn to relax, as she curled up between Richard and Scytherin near the fire, the heat from both of their body’s keeping her warm. Both of their presents comforting. She was a little worried about Scytherin though because he hadn’t spoken to them since they interned the cave.

Feeling Richard nuzzle up to her she smiled, and listened to his voice as he spoke... Ok Deal we get you thru this, and I will heal you and anyone else who needs it. Then we can get the gift for Avelin, and my dodo bird eggs.

Feeling his kiss on her forehead sent small shivers of pleasure thru her body, turning to face him she looked up into his eyes and raising one of her hands from beneath the blanket caressed the side of his face for a moment, and stopped when one of the Eskimos offered them all some warmer clothing to wear.

Moving to change while Richard talked to the people about the monster, she asked Scytherin to hold the blanket up for her so she could change. Once she was dressed she held the blanket for him as well and doing her best not to peek asked. What’s wrong Scytherin? Have I done something to upset you?

Scytherin looked at her after he finished dressing and walked forward gently taking the blanket out of her hands. So that he could hold it for Richard. No you haven’t done anything wrong, and I cant tell you anything its up to the goddess to decide what you should or should not know… I am just here to help you find a gift for the goddess. He said

Once Richard was changed he went over and sat back down near the fire he held the blanket up for her and she sat down between him and Richard. She could tell that Scytherin was holding back a lot, and wished she could remember something.

Thanking the Eskimo’s for the food they had been given she ate and was feeling much better than she had been before. Looking towards the entrance of the cave she watched frozen in shock her eyes wide as a huge Creature that stood at least 12 feet tall white as the snow, with ocean blue eyes and sharp pointed teeth rose and release a giant Roar.

Scytherin

OOC: Sorry, been having quite a few problems in my life but now that things are getting back to normal, I think I can start rewriting here. Thanks Ladyfairy for keeping me in this.

IC: Scytherin side, thinking about the rescent events. It was like a dream, one he could not wake from. He sighed and looked at the floor as he sat down. Though with dreams, there was always something good in it, and this something to him, was Wyn. He smiled just at the thought of her and then looked back, smiling at her as she looked around. He began to wonder, what kind of gift she would try and get for the goddess.

Suddenly his eyes seemed to glaze over, to him it was like being unconscious, just as he had been once before in his life. His body began to spasm but in truth, he was seeing something. It was a dark cloud above a large group of people, he couldn't see any of there faces and could tell what they were acting like. Suddenly, the shroud of darkness fell atop of them, screams filled his thoughts. He groaned and as he looked around the area, the people were gone but the shroud was getting closer to him. He began to panic, there was nowhere to go but he heard voices in his head, yelling at him. Then, everything began to fade and he came back to reality. WAKE'EM UP! He heard someone yelling but they off in the distance. In reality, his body stopped spasming and he fell of into a deep sleep, into unconsciousness to recouperate. Something had happened, something he was meant to see, yet he didn't know what.

When he reopened his eyes, everything was hazy but everything soon cleared up and he found himself, staring up at the cave ceiling.

Eddie in Wichita, '29

Eddie gave her a wink, making his way down the street. It wasn't until he saw Raven turn a corner that he stopped, and doubled back to the diner. Inside, it was still dead, the large greasy man with a spatula in his hand looked over at Eddie, while the young blonde just beamed that he had returned.

"Hi" Eddie said, coming up to her, "I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions."

"Why, sure, sugar. What do you want to know. Is it about Raven?"

"No, not her, actually it's about you."

"Oh," Darlene gave a puzzled look, but then her eyes lit up, "OH!"

She had seen that before. Eddie liked him. Eddie had been talking to Raven to find out what she could about Darlene. Raven had only just met her though, she didn't know many things. Eddie now took a more direct approach. Darlene licked that, she bent over the counter, licking her lips. The waitress outfit revealed ample cleavage, which Eddie found it hard not to stare at.

"What do you think would be a nice first date?"

She smiled, knowingly. Eddie was a very up front man, "Home cooked dinner. Something nice, not fancy, but cooked well. I could arrive around 8 or so, when I get off work. We sit and eat and talk about our day, interests, things like that. Then, a couple of cold beers and we go out to watch the night sky. And after that... coffee."

Oh, coffee. Eddie felt a shiver up his spine. Even back in 1929, people knew what coffee was all about. Thank God for the roaring 20's... or whatever goddess happens to be staying at some local hotel.

"And a gift?" Raven asked, biting his lower lip.

"Gift?"

"Yes, the perfect gift for a goddess."

Darlene's heart melted. No one had ever called her a goddess before. She reached across the counter, and kissed him. Soft and deep, something Eddie hadn't expected. In the back of his mind he hoped it would happen, the way she looked at him and how she kept licking those lips, but still...

It was perfect. Her tongue came in to meet his, and it was right there. A perfect match, he kissed her, hard.

Behind them, someone coughed, rather hard.

Darlene broke the kiss, and immediately went to straightening herself out.

"My goodness," She said, fixing her hair.

"I think I'm going to go. I want you to come over, though, tonight, around 8. I'll have someone come over with the address."

"I would like that," Darlene said, winking.

Eddie walked to the door.

"Chocolate," Eddie turned back. Darlene was playing with a strand of her hair, "I would like one of those sampler's of chocolate. That would be the perfect gift for a 'goddess.'"

Eddie smiled.

There we go. Chocolate. He walked over the the general store, all this knowledge, things would start to roll pretty smoothly. They had a plan now.

Lily~Michiko~Jake~2005

Lily smiled, and found herself, slipping her hand from the back of Michiko's head, and onto her own leg. Something was happening to Lily, and for now she was going to explore it. She wasn't going to rush into anything though, she would take her time, she would discover if that feeling she had with her best friend was the same thing, or if it went deeper.

She had all ready tried to rush three marriages, she wasn't about to rush a new stage in her life, but she was willing to look into it, and learn more about her desires.

"We should head over to the bar, the early drinkers will start coming in and I'm covering for Carl's shift tonight, and you Miss Lily are supposed to waitress."

"Son of a ... " she blushed, "Sorry. Fuck.. ooops.." sighing. "Michiko will need to hang out there with us. I don't think she's ready to be turned loose on my apartment alone."

Jake nodded his head, and paid for the check, while Lily left the tip. "Well, my friend one more trip into the car we go." She held out her hand for Michiko, and felt a tingle coarse through her when their fingers touched.

"Sis," Jake called, "No drinking tonight since your working, okay?"

She glared at her brother, "I'll be good honest."

Jake smiled and led them out to the car. He hoped she'd be okay, he had noticed her starting to develope a habit before he called the Goddess, he hoped that tonight would be busy enough that she wouldn't feel the need to enjoy any side drinks.

OOC: Let's go to the bar... Tim and Bill will be there if you wish to write them in... Party time... *smile*

Michiko, Lily, Jake, Tim, Bill - 2005

Michiko rode in the car again, this time though, she had an arm around Lily, and her head rested on that shoulder. She sighed, smiling and closing her eyes, half asleep as they headed to the bar. She could feel Lily stroking her hair, a soothing sensation, and Lily had to wake her up when they finally stopped there.

She sat up, rubbing her eyes and getting out, holding the door open for Lily before closing it. She did the same for the entrance to the bar, even if chivalry was dead in the modern world, it still lived on in her. It was then that they entered the bar. It wasn't a bad bar at all, very nice and clean as well. She noticed Tim and Bill, the ones from before, smiling and waving to them before following Lily to a seat.

It got kind of tough after Lily and Jake began working, she was all by her lonesome except for Tim and Bill, who questioned her from time to time. Bill was friendly about it, but Tim seemed to be prodding at her. She had to think on her feet to come up with reason for her being here. Where was she from? Japan. Why was she here? To visit Lily, a long-distance friend. How come they had never seen her? She recently moved here.

When Tim had to leave she breathed a sigh of relief. Bill had to go to the bathroom and she found herself alone. She smiled, having a minute to relax. Her eyes, after scanning the bar, found Lily once more. That lovely Lily. Michiko was content to rest her chin in her hands and stare at her. She still felt strange, wondering why she felt so close to Lily. It could have been friendship but Michiko had had friends, their bond was never this strong, or this intimate.

But Michiko pushed the thoughts away, being content with the moment, and watching Lily do her work.

Lily and the gang.. 2005

Lily had kept an eye on Michiko throughout the early afternoon crowd, and as time picked up so did the crowd. Soon she could barely talk from working the tables and dodging ass pinches and breast squeezing. She had seen Tim and Bill talking to Michiko, and Michiko had seemed to be talking back with them, enjoying herself even.

As she took a few minutes to wait on customers at the bar, while Jake used the bathroom, she started to wonder if maybe she had miss read Michiko's advances, or hints of wanting something else. She may have just been being polite, but she was pretty sure, that the smiles she had been giving her, weren't the same that she was giving the guys.

Lily had snuck a few shots of tequila when Jake hadn't been looking and before long Lily was seeing things that she didn't quite understand. Why was Michiko laughing so much, and then she realized that Lily had fooled herself once more. She now worked the tables, and allowed the men to buy her drinks. She ignored her new friend, as she fought with the humiliation that she had made of herself, once more.

As the tips added up, so did Lily's booze. Jake glared at her, and she glared back, downing a shot of Jack'n Coke as she did. When Tim came by, she grabbed him, and thrust her tongue in his mouth, then thought better of it, but by then it was to late, and Tim wasn't about to allow her to change her mind.

He grabbed her arm, when he knew Jake wasn't watching and pulled her to him. "About fucking time, I got you," he hissed in her ear. Lily soon found herself outside, and fighting off his advances. "Fuck, Tim let me go!"

Michiko, Lily, Tim (In serious pain) - 2005

Michiko watched in horror as Tim grabbed Lily, pulling her outside. Something took her over, a protective side brought her to her feet. She rushed to the pool table, grabbing a cue and going outside. It was then that she saw Lily struggling with Tim, she obviously didn't want what he was offering, but that didn't stop him. Luckily, the pool cue did.

There was a loud crack, and Tim fell back, holding his head. And there was Michiko, wielding the pool cue like a sword. She gave him another thwack, then another, then another! "You leave her alone!" She grit her teeth and smacked him across the jaw with it. And that was all it took for him to piss his pants and run for his life.

She looked at the stick, now hanging from the handle. She dropped it and moved to Lily, looking at her and touching her cheek, "Are you alright? Did he hurt you?" She had a look in her eyes, a look of love, caring, and a look that told Lily that if he had hurt her, Michiko was going to give it back to him tenfold. She ran a hand through Lily's hair, her face slowly, ever so slowly, leaning closer.

Raven and Eddie~1929 ~Wichita

Raven walked a little ways and came upon a hotel.... the Wichita Family Inn. It looked quite nice. She went in and went to the front desk. She asked how much it was for a night and it was way more than reasonable. She had more than enough in her hands ...she asked if it were possible to get a room with two bedrooms...again the rate was alright...she paid for it and got the key and went up to the room.

Opening the door to the room she noticed it was quite nice and she had done well, at least it wasn't a dive or worse. And she managed to find a room with two bedrooms . It was indeed a lucky day. Placing her clothes down she grabbed the key again and went to the front desk and asked where some of the local merchants were. With directions in hand and a hand drawn map, she left the hotel.

Her first stop was a clothing store. She needed a better dress and decent shoes for the time. She had already had a fair share of staring at the ones she had on. Purchasing those things, she went a little further on her little map and found the way back to the general store that Eddie had pointed out earlier.

Walking in hoping that she wasn't too late, she looked about scanning the store and smiled as she spotted him. Walking over to him she couldn't help but smile at his turned back. She felt so at ease with him. It seemed like he knew just what to do and was so super about the whole thing. He understood and didn't even question the whole weirdness of it. She shrugged to herself, it was great to be able to be with one that knew what he was doing.

Tapping him gently on the shoulder, she smiled as he turned around smiling that wonderful smile at her again.

Lily ~ Michiko... 2005... who needs words.(poohlive-grins-I have to use titles-now!)

Lily had seen Michiko come out of the bar, and like a flash she had caused Tim to release her and was now holding her. Lily's booze induced state suddenly vanished, and she felt as sober as she had when she walked into the bar.

She stared at Michiko's eyes, her nose, her lips. It were those lips, that were coming closer to her, the ones she had been fantasizing about since she had started to question her feelings. One kiss, she'd know then, wouldn't she. If she took one small taste, then she know for sure, wouldn't she?

Lily saw herself from a distance, as her lips pressed against Michiko's. She sighed into her and felt her body relax, as she swept her tongue along the upper lip of Michiko's then over the seam of the beautiful woman's closed mouth. Lily pulled back, and looked at the Japanese woman.

Michiko and Lily - 2005

Michiko's eyes were half closed, a breath escaping those lips. Her heart had skipped a beat when they had kissed. She could only stare at Lily now, those eyes so full of yearning. What had she felt? That moment was a bliss she had never known, a part that completed a puzzle that she didn't even know wasn't finished.

She pressed her lips to Lily's once more, sharing her feelings. They're bodies were so close, and she didn't want to move away. It seemed like minutes until she broke the kiss, looking into those eyes, "I.. I.. need you," She ran her hands down her, resting them on those hips, "We'll talk about this tonight, yes? Don't worry about it until then." She didn't want to break this contact without something to remember it by.

She pulled Lily as close as she could, their lips meshing together as her tongue slithered into that mouth, dancing across Lily's pink muscle. Her hips gently rubbed against Lily's, a moan escaping her mouth only to enter Lily's. She didn't stop the kiss until she was afraid she'd run out of breath, reluctantly ending it, and smiling back at her.

Lily and Michiko ~ 2005

Lily's lip trembled with some form of emotion. She couldn't name it, couldn't place it. Was it passion, fear, lust, desire, self-discovery, love? There were so many things it could mean, and right now all of those things were racing through her mind. She brought a hand to her lips, and felt the moistness that was left there. Moistness that Michiko had given her.

With a small nod of her head, she agreed, and heard an "Okay" escape her lips, before she turned to go back inside. Her mind was clear from the booze but now was full of questions. She wasn't sure what she would say tonight, but she wouldn't move fast, she couldn't. This wasn't Michiko's purpose in life, this wasn't her quest.

She moved back into the bar, and silently worked the tables, all the while trying to not get any unwanted attention. She ignored her brother, and the regulars, served drinks and walked around in a confused state until it was time for Jake to take them home.

Lily, Jake, and Michiko - 2005

Michiko had taken her seat for the duration of their time at the bar. She watched Lily, her eyes just devouring every detail of this lovely woman. And finally, they got to go home. She decided to keep her distance from Lily, though she still held her hand. Best not to arouse those feelings until she was sure Lily accepted her.

And then they were home. Jake wandered off to sleep and Michiko went with Lily to her bedroom. She sat down on the bed beside Lily, watching her quietly for a long moment, "What I felt tonight.. I don't know what it is, but I feel so.. happy around you. I feel at peace, I feel whole," She frowned a bit, looking down, "I am sorry I didn't act sooner, that man could have hurt you, I could have been a minute too late."

She sighed, closing her eyes, she hoped Lily could forgive her for not being quicker. She hadn't had time to practice, and she was getting sloppy. She swallowed, taking a deep breath, "I.. want.. I don't know what I want. I don't understand what I'm feeling, I'm afraid if I say what I want to say, it could hurt us."

How to fight an abominable snowman, with your host Richard

Richard ran forward, the axe appearing in his hands before he even realized it. It was double bladed, sharp, two crescent moons on each side, stainless steel and ready to slice into flesh.

The monster stepped back, screaming as it sliced into the thing's arm. Red blood mixed with its white coat, flowing freely to the ground. It was dark red, and smelled like vinegar.

Richard whelled the blade back, ready to strike again, but the monster wasted no time. He grabbed Richard in his hands, picking him up. Richard tried to escape from the grip, but it was rock hard. He pushed down, up, pulled away from the massive chest. lilslave: i have thought

Sharp claws dug into his side, he winced as one of them cut the skin, razor sharp and tearing away flesh.

His axe lay on the ground, amidst fresh blood. The monster puled him closer, gripping Richard against his chest, pushing tight. A bear hug, smothering him. The air left his body, crushed beneath the beast's grand size. Richard tried to push up... he had to keep going up. Up, farhter and farther.

The monster had to adjust his grip, and Richard shot free, up from his grip, pulling up farther and farther. Yes, keep going, up and up. Go, faster and faster, farther and farther....

Until, Richard looked down, and saw himself high in the sky. Thrity feet in the air, his legs dangling uselessly beneath him. The monster looked down at him, confused, eyes straight up.

They were outside the cave, and here at this height the albino monster looked like nothing more than a child's toy.

And then, Richard understood.

"I can fly," He spoke, a smile coming to his lips. His second gift. Avaline's second gift to him, to help him.

"I can fly," He did so as he said it, looping in the air, and screaming his happiness. He was free of the monster's grip, and more importantly, he was free from everything. He could fly. He could soar in the air and fly and glide and...

"I CAN FLY!!!"

Now, they were on even ground.

Richard dove down sharp, sweeping through the lumber beast's waving arms, and grabbing the axe on the ground. The beast tried to fight him off, kept turning, but he was a large beast, and slow. Each time the snowman got close, Richard flew up and around him.

He watched as the thing fell over, Richard's axe planted firmly in its back.

"Sorry Zeus," He said, spitting on it, "Not this time. She loves me too much. She gave me this gift... these gifts, and I'll use them with whatever you want to throw at me."

Lily ~Michiko 2005

"Michiko, I like you, I won't lie about that."

Lily sighed, and removed herself from the bed, "But your not here to make me your soul-mate, and I can't believe the Goddess would have made your quests so easy."

The alcohol had left her system, and she had thought about this a long time, "Michiko, you need to stop and I need to stop, this isn't supposed to be happening, not like this, and well... I don't want to piss our Goddess off."

She sighed, her heart heavy, her mood dampened by her thoughts, "No Michiko, there has to be something more, then this. Avaline is a cold-heartless bitch, and I won't fall for her foul tricks anymore. You need to go to the guestroom, and well... I'll call Avaline down later, and figure out what she is thinking, because, she is wrong to toy with us like this."

With the door opened, and her eyes downcast she waited for Michiko to leave, though it was hard for her to accept, she couldn't allow her heart to be broken again. "I will deal with you Avaline," she heard herself telling her mind, keeping the words locked inside.

Eddie and Raven in 29

Eddie turned around, and picked her up, sweeping her in his arms. He kissed her once more, the feel of her lips so warm and delicate. He pressed hard against them, loving the soft feel, the intricate fold of her body against his. He could shiver as he kissed her.

"I did it, I know what she wants. It's all here," He said, showing her a bag of supplies. It was mostly food, but they had some candles and other things for later.

"We can go back to the hotel and set everything up. How would you like to have dinner, around 8?"

Lily and Michiko - 2005

Michiko looked up at Lily with pained eyes, slowly rising from the bed and heading towards the door. Her heart ached, no, not ached, it felt like it was bleeding. She felt the life pour out of her, looking back at Lily before stepping out. Her eyes glistened, wet with something, tears? She headed back towards her room on weak, shaky, legs.

She sat upon her bed, tears running down her cheeks. Michiko brushed the tears away, wrapping her arms around herself. She couldn't seem to find any happiness in all this, was Avaline really torturing her? Was Avaline making her miserable for the sheer joy it gave her? She decided then. She wouldn't fall for Avaline's tricks anymore. She wouldn't let herself be decieved. She would hide her heart away, so that no one could find it. She would turn herself away from what she thought was happiness.

That was the plan, she would let go of what made her happy. If it would stop Avaline's deceptions. She rolled over on the bed, closing her eyes, and crying herself to sleep.

Lily - Michiko 2005

Lily closed the door behind her friend, and then leaned against it. Tears fell from her eyes, yet she refused to make a sound. She covered her face, and took a few deep breaths before opening the door again. Looking around she saw her brother crashed on the coach, and noticed Michiko was no where about.

She slipped quietly to the living room book shelf, and grabbed the spell book, that her brother had used to summon Avaline. Taking a candle and lighter back to her room, she quietly closed the door behind her.

With a heavy sigh, she cleared off the counter, and set the candle on it. Taking another deep breath, she lit the three wicks that were imbedded into the wax. She sat on her bed, her legs crossed and her hands resting on her lap. Soon she was in another place a realm between reality and fantasy. Her eyes rolled into the back of her head, and she felt her being slip away.

There she stood, in the darkness. Stars surrounded her, as did the moons and planets of many solar systems. "Why do you call me?" Avaline's image appeared to Lily.

Lily looked at the woman before her, she cocked her brow at the Goddess dressed in a nurse's uniform. "Playing doctor and nurse Avaline?" the obvious hate spewed from her lips.

Avaline stared at her, a raised brow her only answer.

"I want to know when your finished fucking your playmate, whoever your next flavor of the century is, if you could take a moment to stop fucking up my life."

Avaline's jaw tightened and her teeth gritted, as her fingers curled into tight little fists.

"Cat got your tongue? Your a vile woman, an evil one, a sex starved slut that obviously can't get a grip on reality, at least the realities of the lives you play with."

Lily watched as Avaline's hands raised, and her long flowing white hair lifted in with the sudden gust of wind. Words and images were sent to Lily's mind, and true fear rocked through the young woman as she realized she had misjudged the Goddess, and her rudeness toward Avaline would no longer go unnoticed.

She felt the rush of her spirit being forced back into her body, and suddenly she felt her clothes ripped from her, and her body was shifted through time and space. She screamed in pain as she was lashed through a sparkling vortex of space. Soon there was nothing but silence, and then a sharp peircing pitch that rang through Lily's ears.

Just as quickly the pain was gone, and Lily found herself painted in gold, her body was stiff, and seemed to only allow her arms and head to move, she hugged the gold strings, and soon was feeling herself being lifted up. She smelled the vile stench of sweat, and she tried to see what was holding her. Unable to twist her body she never saw the box, that was brought under her, but she did feel its base. As she was laid down on the bottom of it, her eyes widened in her face. "Oh fuck," she exclaimed as the eyes of the giant disappeared as he locked his treasure in the box.

Lily felt the fear of the dark enclosed space begin to run deep inside her, and she closed her eyes, praying for mercy, and hoping that the Goddess of Love, and whatever... left someone a clue.

Avaline ~ 1929

Avaline quickly returned to her body, her spirit having been summed to the deep space that hovered between her world and the worlds of mortals. She now rose from her bed, and stared at the screen of her hotel televison.

She recalled the words of Lily, and she felt her anger renew. Then she looked into the past, and saw the evening of Lily and Michiko, and how things had gone well, then wrong. Sighing she threw up her hands in disgust.

"The fools of the immortals. Michiko will need a clue, an obvious one this time, but she will not get what she wants easily."

With a wave of her hand, Avaline laid the old leather book on the bed. The gold writing of the author Edwin Sidney Hartland stood out in beautiful contrast to the worn silver writing of the letters that remained just very visiable to the naked eye.

She smiled, "Yes, Zues, I know it is simple, but ohhhh you'll have such fun tricky the mouthy Lily, and Michiko, she must learn to not fall in love so quickly, she seems rather fickle, so perhaps she isn't the one after all. Lily... she needs to be taught a lesson."

Michiko - 2005

Michiko slowly woke up, unsure of why. She looked at the book on her bed, picking it up with an arched brow. She then went looking for Lily, who was nowhere to be found. She searched everywhere frantically, there was no sign, no nothing. Lily couldn't have just left in the middle of the night, and something told her that Avaline had something to do with it.

She looked back at the book, it wasn't there before. It had been left there... as a clue. She gripped it tight in grit teeth before closing her eyes, using her newly discovered power. She scanned the collective unconcious until it came to her. The barely visible words were Jack and the Beanstalk! But what did that have to do with anything? Where was Lily?

Michiko snarled and turned towards the window, ready to throw you book out, "You bitch! Quit messing with our lives!" But something stayed her hand, she looked back at the book. Sighing, she went back to the bedroom, taking a seat and opening the book, beginning to read it. Maybe it would give her some clue as to what the Monster Avaline had done with Lily, she would get her back, somehow, for Jake's sake.

Raven and Eddie ~1929~ Wichita

Raven gasped and smiled as Edddie swung her around in the store...aware that the other patrons watched ...but not caring in the least. As he kissed her ...all thoughts left it...all that remained was softness and colors and sweetness....so warm and tender he was to her.

"What do you mean you know what she wants ...how did you figure that out?"
Her eyes widen at the thought that things were going so quickly and yet....that would mean that all thisa with him would end so soon.
Swallowing hard as he began showing her the things that he had bought...she
barely heard him for the pounding in her head that this feeling would end all too soon. Snapping alert only when he asked her something looking at her.

"I am sorry ...what did you say...dinner...ummm.... at 8 sounds ok to me"

Trying to hide her worry of finishing this quest so fast...she smiles bravely at him and trys real hard to look as eager as he was .

"Shall we go back to the hotel now and set up then?...I think we have everything, don't we?"

Lily ~ stuck in a book

Lily's eyes squinted as the lid of the box was raised and she was pulled from it. "Hey not so hard!" she squeaked out, then rolled her eyes at her own voice. "I think you need to lighten up there buddy." She looked into the eyes of the giant.

She had thought about what this meant for her, obviously Avaline was bored and was having a bit of fun with her. Was Michiko the one that would be rescueing her, or was it someone else, perhaps another one of Richard's quests. A giant is like a monster, but he had all ready dealt with a giant.

"SING. GIRL. NOW!"

Lily cocked her brow, "Sing? Yeah right, I can't..." Suddenly words just spilled from Lily's mouth, and the most beautiful sounds came out, as her fingers moved to strum the harp's chords, and she sang unceasingly.

Hours past, and she continued to sing, her arms tired, her throat sore, but still the giant made her sing. Then she was allowed a break, and sat down, well, she was leaned against the edge of a book. Sighing she watched the giant grab a white goose, and she rolled her eyes, "Oh good grief, what's next?" she closed her eyes and went into a deep slumber. Dreams of Michiko filled her mind, and she felt as if her friend were somehow closer to her, as if she knew where she was.
