This morning... more vivid.
It is the concept of "sexy".
I am visual. I do enjoy beauty. I have my own concept of beauty as a real and measurable thing. Not in precise measurements or exact quantities, but certainly within a range.
HOWEVER... there is also behavioral beauty (and ugliness).
As a cliché euphemism, we hear: "She has a great personality" and think: "She must be ugly" fat... or whatever.
I do believe that personality and attitude GREATLY influence my perception of sexiness or attractiveness.
... sadly, I am finding that my "rose colored glasses" are losing their tint.
I truly understand how feeling unattractive influences ones behavior...
but one should try to remember the adage: "sexy is, as sexy does". If one behaves asexual... one eventual really starts to become asexual.
A self-fufilling prophecy of sorts.
I saw bare breasts, this morning, which used to really turn me on. And not in the distant past. Today, they were... nothing. The circumstance was so matter of fact and so non-expectant of any reaction... that by golly, there was none.
Well, there was a reaction... a sense of loss.
GentleSub_Ivy said:Do you think part of your reaction is because we are so inundated with sexual images every where we look? I know this may be an odd question to ask at lit. I understand though. Sometimes I look at pictures of naked bodies and they just seem like a collection of parts.
Or maybe you need a break from lit and erotica. Sometimes I do. Or not. It's up to you what you need.
I understand what you mean though how a person's attitude can affect their sexiness. I think we are still in the minority thinking that though. Otherwise, I can't see why half the people who are adored in our culture get more than a second glance. Most people must still worship in the 'Cult of Physical Beauty.'
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy physical beauty as much as the next person, but I have always found gentle quirkiness sexier.
Headed your way in Two weeks! (almost that far, but not quite!lol)THROBBS said:This was from last week.
The concept comes from an idea of three college age women who have gone camping. Near their designated pee spot, they see a stump with a curiously phallic bit of branch remnant. Eventually one of the women will explore the stump more completely, which "arrouses" a dormant forest being.
