Hi EP. any more apple pies? How's life?

hugs all.

No more apple pies. I'll still need to work on that. My apples didn't cook very well, but still tasted good. What kind of apples do you prefer in a pie?

Life is a bit busy, as I was working on replies I got a call from my eldest nephew, who is getting married this Saturday. He called to see if I had a nice big serving dish for a fruit tray. He's just now left. If he didn't have more things to do tonight, we'd probably still be talking.

That's very true. I can't even tell you how long I lurked here before actually joining, then I lurked for months longer before I ever posted. One small step at a time.

I'm afraid my experience is pretty limited though, in spite of my age.

tart crisp apples!

I mixed Granny Smith (which are tart and crisp) with Fuji which are a little sweeter. The Granny Smith were still firm while the Fuji were almost overcooked. Next time, no mixing.
