Hi guys,

First post here!

I have read a few stories on here but one that had me hooked was that of Jammy Jimmy:- "Threads: The Island". Not one book had affected me like this one has and it's clawed its way into my mind and heart and I'm craving a sequel to this. I'm sure many of you know the story line as it's one of the all time best reads on here. If not here's a link to it:

With respect to the other authors and readers I just feel that there's so many books to Follow this one as the story line was amazing and it carried such passion, romance and detail but never falling out of proportion and by that I mean it was always edge of your seat stuff and not once did I feel bored reading it. If anything I would always look forward to my next read.

It came to my attention that Jammy Jimmy had commented saying that he was currently writing about the next in line however that was all the way back in 2012 and I haven't seen or heard anything from him since.

I'm sorry if this isn't much of a story idea but I gathered that for those who have read Threads: The Islands would understand and agree with me that the story cannot end there and there is so much potential to this story. I could imagine possibly 5 more entries to it. It's one of the all time greatest books on here and there must be someone who can carry on the story!

So please I really am so upset that the story has ended with the first book and I beg that someone could follow it up or even find out what's happened to Jammy Jimmy and if he's writing anymore.

A sequel must happen and with the vast amount of wonderful authors on here I really do hope that one can forward the story.

Please help me.

Most authors at Lit will not take another person's story and continue it.

I completely understand and agree but in this case the member hasn't been online for nearly 7 years and the story got top top ratings. There must be someone to help :(

You could do it yourself.

As to publishing it, I think you would get quite a bit of shade thrown your way if you did it here. No one would stop you from doing it privately however.

Here's a thread you might want to scan over: http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1391968

It's about adopting other author's characters without their permission but I think most points could be translated for this. The general consensus seem to be, it's a shitty thing to do but it's unlikely someone would bring legal actions against you.

Bottom line: It's just not kosher.

Feel free to write something inspired by Jammy Jimmy's story though. People do that all the time with varying success.

Shouldn't this thread be in Author's Hangout?

As mentioned, exploiting another's setup without permission is frowned upon here, but being inspired by their work (and not infringing on it) is just fine. That said, I suspect more than a few writers HAVE exploited previous work without permission, but they don't post to the forums and thus don't draw our attention. You could probably get away with a sequel as long as you stay under the radar and don't flaunt it here.

Well that's it for me though I don't want to write it myself as I enjoyed how Jammy Jimmy expressed the characters and the storyline in such a unique way.. It was such a passionate read for me. I cannot find authors hangout what is that?

I've started that twice, and (for whatever reason) dropped it after a few pages.

Perhaps I should re-load it and read it.

Trust me it's an amazing read. Had the best ratings I've ever seen too which are definitely justified!
