Hey Friends... I have been away for a while, but writing my ass off. I had a question or two. But this forum has gotten so big that I cannot seem to find the answer I am looking for her.

I have written several stories here, and one of them did so well I turned it into a book and published it. So the question is, and I looked in the rules, so maybe I missed it...

Can I include a blurb at the end of the stories I post here something like:

"If you liked this story and want to read more of my long-form content and support me as an author, please visit my Amazon page and consider buying one of my books."

I occasionally see stories here were a person will post a comment like that, but I wanted to make sure that this is not violating some rule that might get me banned.

TIA and if this is already posted somewhere and I missed it, please let me know where it is so I can go over it myself.

I might be wrong because I haven't looked into this, but I don't see why you couldn't include that as a note at the end of your stories -- and if you submit a story with that at the end and it gets rejected that'll let you know (but I don't think that it will for that). You can also add the blurb in your profile page if you haven't already.

Pretty sure what PSG said above is correct.

Additionally, there is an option to add some external links in your profile, and Amazon is one of them. They should show up along with your name at the end of the story, labeled as “support this author” or something to this effect.

I agree with what’s been said above. You should also post about it in the pinned thread Literotica Authors and their Books above here

I think ... I THINK (not totally sure) that the rule is no, you cannot put that in your actual story, but yes you can put that in your author profile and yes you can put that in your forum sig.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm not going to correct you, but I will add my belief that as long as there isn't any actual URL link in the story pointing outside of the Literotica domain, promoting the work within a story should be fine. I have alluded to some of my published works in stories here without providing links to them.

A link could be placed within the author's profile though, so maybe a link within the story to the profile, and then a link in the profile to the outside website?

No, promoting anything off-site in the story text/author's notes isn't allowed. Even saying to check my profile for links to off-site work isn't allowed. I got popped once for forgetting and saying that "This used to be an exclusive to my website".

Honestly, it shouldn't be necessary if said work is on any of the available sites you can set on your profile. If you set any of the "support this author" options in your profile, those show up on stories at the bottom of every page of every story. ( including right by the voting form ) So make use of those settings, and you're advertising your for-pay work on every story.

Example from one of LCs stories, because he's the first person who popped to mind who has set one of these.

And, as always, anybody who would be willing to fork out cash for your work will make the effort to find out if there's a way to.

Thanks for everyone's comments. I appreciate it. I have a direction to go now, I am just looking for a was to promote the things I am trying to make a little money at while still putting come good content up here as well.
