thread ids

hi all, hope you can help.i am looking to add a thread to my signature but not sure about hoe i find the thread id number.all or any help is gratefully received.

You don't need the thread ID to put a link in your sig, just the URL of the thread.

1) Open the thread in a new window
2) Copy the address from the bar at the top of the window
3) Go into your signature area in your User CP and put your cursor in the box
4) Press the

button
5) Type the words you want to appear in you sig (eg "Check out Thread IDs") and hit OK
6) Paste the address you copied in the next field that pops up and press OK

You should have something that looks like looks like Check out Thread IDs (quote my post to see the code, and the thread ID is the 463363) in your sigline.

The code looks like this, without the asterisks * (so copy, paste into your sig, and remove the asterisks at the beginning before submitting):
