Is there a difference? I might think about suicide...but I wouldn't do it....there's a difference...I might think about ripping my hair out ....but i don't do it...there's a difference....

Hence... think before you act. Saved me a lot of stupid problems.

Hi SL

I think there is a big difference between thoughts and actions. It's just a matter of controlling impulses when the thoughts get too strong I think. :)

I think I have passed that point...its so hard to know anymore...

thanks rox...

i find myself doing things without thinking so much about them...its un nerving....lol iused to be a worry wort...

I think that's cause to celebrate! You are probably doing the things you most want to do then and worrying is never energy well spent.

really? oh sorry...

Whenever I want to act on a negative thought (happened to me just tonight), I discuss it with someone rational first. Have you tried that? If you can't trust yourself you can trust your best friend.

Sounds like perhaps you've been holding something (i.e. your true feelings) back and now they are pushing to get out. Is that the case?

As Roxanne said, we *do* have impulse control. We don't automatically have to act on our thoughts. If you feel you've been acting without thinking lately, maybe you've been holding your true impulses on too tight a rein, or you need to find another way - creatively, perhaps - to let them out.
