To have courage is to post with a name to stand behind your opinions. Being anonymous and posting is your true self a no name

Norwegians have barcodes, not surnames. They're sensitive about this, please be a bit more delicate. Is "859419" your real surname?
We're all anonymous. It's just a matter of degrees of anonymity. Who cares.
There are degrees of anonymity here. OKsideshow859419 over time does achieve more singularity and identity than "anonymous" is ever going to have.
There is such a rule already, although it extends only to comments.I would like to see a rule that says you can't do anonymous feedback. Make them at least sign in and leave their screen name.
Am I the only one to pick up on the reference here?Norwegians have barcodes, not surnames. They're sensitive about this, please be a bit more delicate.
Is this like the thing about Sweden putting barcodes on its warships?Am I the only one to pick up on the reference here?
You can block anonymous comments on your stories.I would like to see a rule that says you can't do anonymous feedback. Make them at least sign in and leave their screen name.
??? There isn't such a rule is there? There is such a rule already, although it extends only to comments.
Well, there is, it's only up to each of us whether it will be used or not. You can turn off anonymous comments on each of your stories. You can't stop anyone from anonymously commenting on other authors' stories, of course; only the story's author has that power. And it's one of the things that were done well on Lit, in my opinion. Let everyone choose for themselves if they want anonymous comments or not.??? There isn't such a rule is there?
This is what I do too. And after publishing stories online since the late 1990s, nasty comments still bother me. So I delete those I don't need.I’ve had vile comments from Anonymous and heartwarmingly lovely ones. I suspect the issue is negative comments, rather than their provenance. If you hate them, delete them, as is your prerogative.

You can do that by turning off anon commentsI would like to see a rule that says you can't do anonymous feedback. Make them at least sign in and leave their screen name.
It bothers a lot of people. Thing is, most comments are from anon, and anon can be anybody, from people with accounts who don't want their screen name associated with either what they're reading or saying--the bitch made users. Or people who don't have accounts and can't be bothered to make the simple investment of doing so. You can turn them off, but you may not get any comments because of it, comments can be slim pickings as is, even with anon enabled.I guess because I am relatively new to this, the nasty anonymous comments bother me. Especially when it sounds like the person didn't even read the whole story.
