Thought of the moment

The hit count and voting number on my newest story in non-consent-reluctance category keep shooting up.

On my voyure-exhibitionism story next to it has no hit either in view count or voting.

I fully expect The former's hits to reach 10,000 by naxt Monday morning.

Is it our nature to destroy others?

When will we finally learn not see the world in "us" against "them" terminology?

Grumble, grumble

Um, sweetie, a lot of those readers are women who like to think of ourselves in the receiving position.

It isn't "us against them". It's "us against the wall" or "us against the bed".

It's also fun to read what goes on inside the mind of a man as he fantasizes about "taking" a woman against her will.

Thus, men rule the world.

The struggle will continue.
Naw, it's more of a case of women wanting to take time out from ruling the world and enjoy the fantasy of having the guy in charge for a while. :p

What puzzles me is that of all the "kink" categories, Incest/Taboo -- which seems to be almost all incest -- is the most popular by a significant margin.

To quote Jack Crab from Little Big Man,

"The very idea kinda shriveled me like a spider on a hot stove."

The taboo against incest has deep biological roots; almost all animals obey it instinctively.

What makes the subject so popular?

It's the line that most of us won't actually cross in our real adult lives. Most "normal" people try their hand at SM, anal, oral, etc. and a lot of people would engage in a threesome if they had the courage.

However, the only "safe" way of indulging an incest desire is thorugh fantasy or fiction.

I hadn't thought about it that way. That makes sense to me.

I think the fairly common human tendency to be aroused by "forbidden fruit" of one kind or another is philosophically fascinating.

You know, my last story was actually an incest one, something I never thought I would write but I did it for someone who means alot to me and so I actually found it an easy tale to write.

Its by no means my best work, its not awfully original, its not very long but it does involve sex between two sisters and a brother in law. It has the highest score of all my stories with the most reads and votes AND I got a ton of feedback on it.

Its kind of disappointing really...knowing that category makes such a difference.

I'm quite particular about the 'nonconsent/reluctance' that I like. As soon as it gets violent, I give up on it. I only like reading stories where I can relate to the heroine. If she's taking a beating or behaving a certain way for no apparent reason, I switch off immediately. However.. some non-consent/reluctance (especially in historical settings) are really good because the man is not so much raping her, but more coaxing her to do something she would rather not do originally. See Captured by wishfulthinking. That's the kind of stuff I like. The man is strong and assertive but not entirely forceful. Oh yeah, I also have to be attracted a little to the man in the story. If I hate him, I wouldn't want to read about him having orgasms would I.

I don't mind women ruling as long as it is with their ass yummy

Non-consent/reluctance stories naturally have more drama and tension than, say, Erotic Coupling, and thattension translates into erotic heat. They also have more character development as the victim goes from refusal to acceptance or even enthusiastic participation. Therefore they just make better stories.

I know a lot of people--myself included--really dislike the loving couples stories where everything is sweet and perfect. They're just boring. All stories need some central problem or conflict to move them along, even dirty ones.

She said it all. I'll just repeat her words. :D

Well, statistically, one out of three women gets raped or sexually assulted by a man, world wide in her life time. (Offical statistic from one of those women's rights groupes)

Most murders are commited by a familiy member.

Insest: fantasy?
