This "unregistered" shit is pissin' me off.

Considering I could never even figure out how to log on as a guest or create another profile - like Trolls seem to do so easily.....

I now find it so ironic that I, seemingly randomly - am posting as unregisterd.

I mean - I come on board and it say's, "welcome Sparky Kronkite." And I reply or post as per usual. Sometimes numerous times too.

Then - without warning and because I simply don't, "look up" - in assumption of course that I am "posting as me" - I find, after hitting submit - that I have posted as unregistered.

Why? Why has this never happened to me before - and why is it happening now?

And why do I notice that it's happening to other's as well?

Please - I hate this shit. Tell me the deal is.

Same thing happens to me Sparky. However, it won't let me do anything when this happens (ie, if I try to type in my name & password - no go.) I have to go back to the main board & log-in again. It's a good thing, but why does it happen at random?

I can - re-log on - that works for me.

It's just when I don't notice it - especially when creating a poll - as you have seen.

It can really waste a lot of work.

Those of you with this problem need to edit your profile. Go to Control Panel. Click on Edit Options.

Second choice down is "Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)" --- set it to YES. What's happening is that every time you leave the site your profile is dropped (sometimes, it seems to me, it happens even when you don't leave the site) - By enabling cookies you'll stay logged in. This was the default in the old site and I don't believe it was changeable. The new site gives us lots more options.

I changed my profile back to use cookies Sun, Mon, and now Tues and I still keep getting "logged out" someway.

It just happened and I haven't left the board in 30 minutes.
