Also silly, my brother in law doesn't believe astronaughts have ever been to the moon.
After you pointed it out. lol I'm being dense because I don't see what you're point it, cant. What's the time zone got to do with anything?cantdog said:Notice that all times are GMT...![]()

Now Oggie...you Brits are kookie and have a quirky sense of humor that I adore, but these people are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay past eccentric. I'm talking padded rooms and heavy medication because these folks are full on guano.oggbashan said:We Brits are allowed to be eccentric. A GMT zone is the centre of the flat earth. They probably believe that the British Empire still exists.
Og
You don't need times zones without a spherical earth. I think. Og may be right, too, but I didn't think of 'em as Brits.Tom Collins said:After you pointed it out. lol I'm being dense because I don't see what you're point it, cant. What's the time zone got to do with anything?

You could be right, but I still think they need some kind of medication. *snort*English Lady said:I found this on a thread titled "A cautionatry note to forum newcomers"
Seven Step Initiation
1. Read the FAQ.
2. Take a deep breath and get a cup of coffee.
3. Put your thinking cap on. Decide for yourself if you want to take this site seriously or not. Are there really FE'ers? Do these people really believe the (seemingly intentionally) silly ideas? (I personally concluded that no one at all believes in the flat earth -- even the very few who claim to.)
4. Understand that almost everyone here believes in a round earth. Almost all of the people who argue for a flat earth are devil's advocates. And some people just love to provoke you. It's extremely amusing to see an RE advocate get worked up.
5. Realize it's all trivial anyways and that there's no point arguing about any of it, especially if you're going to get worked up on it.
6. Don't take anyone here too seriously and practice your debating and resource skills. If you aren't a jerk or a moron, it could actually be enjoyable.
7. Enjoy yourself while here and remember: there's an Everything Else forum with much more interesting topics.
Happy Hunting!
Sounds like this might not be as serious as it first looks![]()
They're cracked. LOL If I grasp what's going on, no one on the site actually believes what they're spouting. It's all just one big game of Devil's Advocate, trying to prove that you can't prove anything to anyone if they refuse to believe, no matter what evidence you show them.fieryjen said:It's kind of become popular for the physics students at my college to become members. I had heard of them before, but I'm not a member. I do think they're kind of hilarious.

(OK, the "edge" part is a little scary, but we could build an Israeli wall around it just to be safe.)
