For the first time in god knows how long, R Nitelight is NOT showing as an active user on the Lit board.

Sources have indicated that irate Lit members, along with units of the ATF, DEA and FBI, have ransacked his home, stolen his computer, and are at this moment preparing to stage an "accidental" shooting.

Other sources have also speculated that R Nitelight has been whisked away to a secret location to receive personal tutoring from George W. Bush. After having been shown posts made earlier by R Nitelight, Governor Bush was quoted as saying, "God, he's dumber than me. And he has even less to say than I do. Hell, at least I know how to use Instant Messaging..."

For those of you who have been waiting for this momentous occasion to occur before visiting the Lit board again...

Observations on idiocy.

As someone who has been a registered member here for quite a while but who rarely posts because of random attacks like some of the ones in this thread, I will make an observation.

I believe that there are a couple of registered users here who do the majority of the unregistered attack postings. It's funny that these people are so cowardly as to have to make their attacks anonymously.

There is another board that I read and on that board there is no such thing as registering, so you can choose your name with every post. Many users on that board start a thread and then reply to themselves repeatedly under different names trying to either get attention or to appear to have support from a large group of users.

As I read more and more posts here on this board, I am beginning to see a pattern that mirrors the other board.

It would be groovy if there was a way to see if all of the unregistered posters were the same person. On some threads, I believe that you might see that all of the unregistered users posts, on both sides of the arguments, would turn out to be the same person.

I don't advocate banning unregistered posts, quite the opposite, I find it amusing as long as the people being attacked realize that it's all a setup and don't take it seriously. No one, IMHO, should take someone who repeatedly and publicly talks to him/herself seriously.

It's possible that even this post is being made by the same person as the others as I try to psychoanalyze myself and determine why I feel the need to attack other people and pretend that it's not me. What am I trying to hide? What am I trying to prove?

Maybe this is what it takes to make a person finally realize that what they are doing is not very courteous to the other members of the board. These people never seem to get the hint.

Flirting in moderation is fine. But turning the BB into an IM session on thread after thread is very discourteous to the other users. Please take it to a chatroom or an IM. Please spare the rest of us.
