... but A Far Cry From Heaven, which was so badly recieved in the CSoW thread in the AH (well, not badly, but it came in dead last, as far as I could tell) is #36 on the NonHuman top list. It isn't my first H, but it is my first top lister, and I'm doing mental backflips of joy.
The story has no sex. None, not one drop. I don't even think it has an actual kiss.
It is ridiculously elaborate (my sin of choice was purple prose) and is what I consider to be rough-cut. Meaning, I'll let others read it, but I wouldn't send it in for actual paid publishing.
I love this story. I REALLY love this story, not just for the ratings, but for the fact that it is so.. *snickers* completely in character. Roleplay character, that is, it was taken from a long, twisting, winding stair of a story cobbled together from a roleplay crew I used to run with.
There's more where that came from... Sapphyre, as the matriarch of Coeur de Nuit, just got to go first.
