The final Just the Tip Tuesday is another twofer. The first asks the question, “Joystick or controller?” The second was me bored while stuck in traffic.

And a bonus pic for today! I match. I got my other nipple pierced yesterday. I thing it hurt worse than the first one did. It was definitely more painful than getting a tattoo.

This year has been a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. When I started this, I was three months out from what would become my first bout with COVID-19, and two days out from an ER visit when my breathing got so bad I thought I was going to die.

I’ve had to deal with a nasty thumb injury, multiple near fainting episodes at work, a diagnosis of post-COVID syndrome, and moving out of what, in hindsight, was an abusive living arrangement. Then, in the new year, I got COVID a second time, almost lost my spouse to it, and got a second post-COVID syndrome diagnosis.

So, yeah, forty-four was a tough year. I’m surprised I made it through. And hey, I’m back to my pre-COVID weight and I still have a full head of hair, so there’s that.

Thanks for the ride Drac. You are right, it certainly has been one hell of a year for you. I hope you have downloaded a copy of the entire thread for safekeeping to look back on when you are older and think, Yeah that year, but I lived.
