In a previous life I worked in radio. One of the stations I worked for early in my career was a hard rock station. It, unfortunately, has gone through numerous format changes and is no longer a rock station. Anyway, it used to have Metallica Mondays. I got over saturated on Metallica after a while. I can enjoy them again, finally.

Isn’t it funny how music can shape things. Like I can’t hear the Grateful Dead without thinking of my father and him sharing his love of rock music with me. Or Randy Travis makes me think of my grandma. Though having metallic ruined for you for years was not cool. Ugh.

Hard rock stations always go the way of the dodo unfortunately. We had a metal station called The Underground and they had Mandatory Metallica every night at 10 p.m. for 15 minutes. As you know, some of their songs are that long, lol, but it was nice to know exactly when you would hear them. I heard some really cool stuff from before they were actually a touring band when Cliff was alive, he was amazing!!

I had a lot of music ruined for me. I had to load in a lot of music for a progressive rock show, and now I can’t listen to anything by Phil Collins.

Radio is a fickle business. I’ve been out of it since 2015 and, despite missing it, I don’t think I could go back. Of course, my last program director was a micromanaging asshole.

Last week, in a word, sucked. I came close to rage quitting my job more than once. I’m more than tired of doing 90% of the work. Hell, I have to psyche myself up every morning just to get out of bed. It’s not a good situation. I do have a possible recourse, but my innate pessimism is making me unsure about doing it.

Even though it’s still Sunday in my neck of the woods, I’m giving you a Monday Moon early. Also, I should point out that this thread will be ending on the 21st of next month. That will be the last day of my forty-fourth year.

I understand the 'rage quitting', I've been there! I found another job first and then gave my notice.
