This I Believe

I believe it's always good to have clarity about those people with which you really share friendship, and those people for whom you are merely. . . . . . . entertainment.

I believe that whether you see your glass as half full or half empty... there is room for more wine.

If you show me someone who wants to be fooled; I'll show you someone who will be fooled.
I know this is true for love.

I believe it's true for religious fundamentalists.

I believe it's also true for blind followers of political ideologues.

Anytime you believe someone else has all your answers - you're wanting to be fooled.

Very true.

It is never black and white. There are shadings and shadows between that change the entire shape of it. It looks different from every angle, and shifts constantly.

You can't judge what is ever-changing. You can only change with it to the best of your ability, or leave it behind altogether.

Expectations only lead to problems, but they're so damn hard to eliminate, or even control.

I believe when you start looking at people's hearts...instead of their faces..***** becomes clear:rose:

I am not a gift?

But rather superficial. Looking back at it, if boobs are really that important... to hell with the rest of the world!!!

Life is too short. You never know how long you have on Earth so spend it with the ones you love, doing what you love and don't fret the small stuff.

A television never complained about being turned off; nor a book complained about being shut. The TV doesn't ask for explanation about why the channel gets changed.
Finally accepting that I was only entertainment, good enough until the next new thing came along, I will learn the lesson from the TV.

I had the lesson 4 years ago with the last boy friend.
He decided after his mom died he wanted a sugar momma.
He knew it sure as hell wasn't going to be me but I was entertainment until I figured that out.
Then he tried that crap with his landlady and when she figured it out he found his stuff on the curb.

I believe this, from personal experience: The loss is that of the user. If all they saw was entertainment, they did not fully tap into the enormous possibilities therein. And they missed so very much.

I believe a leader should inspire people to be better thhan they are, as individuals and as a group. Their vision should lift people. They should embrace all our best values, seek ways to unite for the good of everyone.
I believe our country is in trouble when I see the types of leaders they choose to follow.
