I don't know how impartial that survey can be, since it appears in Gallup's Political page and compiled from telephone interviews of 1,000 people. I wonder if their methodology was identical from a year in the middle of a pandemic 2021 to last month. The guy heading it up, Jeffrey Jones, appears to have an interest in right wing political and economic topics, but broadly speaking I'd agree ±20% with his findings - so he could be right or he could be wrong.

Anyhow, it bears out what I posted earlier about sports because the science is better understood. I thought the final question was odd, based on 'moral values' and it makes me wonder how impartial this Gallup poll is.
Notice the small font condition at the bottom, which essentially makes the result meaningless: if the reply to the question was 'it depends' or 'it isn't a moral issue' ( which is isn't ) then those results are discarded. If it's moral issue, I assume they mean religious and then all bets are off.
