My latest story, 'Wilson's Web' has so far received about 20 odd public comments. Being in the 'Loving Wives' genre, there are some comments which are not related to the ability or lack thereof, of the writing skills of author, but tend to reflect the entrenched views of the correspondent about the genre itself. However the latest public comment defies explanation.

I quit reading at that point [when the husband was masturbating] because I knew then the story was written by a queer. Only queers would write about men masturbating because it would only interest a queer.

To each their own but I wish queers would keep their queer stuff out of Loving Wives.

In fact, it's sort of a little fetish of mine. I don't know why someone would assume that a person is any sexual orientation based upon a scene in an erotic story that they wrote. That's beyond me and, personally, I think it's presumptuous and ignorant.

I wish more writers would include men playing with themselves in the stories they write. It's HOT. I've had a man masturbating in a story I wrote (imagine that ) and didn't receive that kind of backlash, but then who knows. Trolls are random. Don't let 'em discourage you.

It's another age old question, like the one about the chicken and the egg. No one knows the answer, but here we are, thousands of years later, with this horrible plague upon us.
