I believe originally, succubi were demons that fed on lifeforce. If I remember correctly, they were partly an explanation for sleep paralysis at the time. But I guess succubi feed through cum (which at the time was considered a type of lifeforce), instead of through blood, maybe that's the main distinction between the two. That, and a succubus will sneak in in the night to seduce her victims, while a vampire uses charm to draw them in.There is a similarity, but the sexual vampire perhaps exists within a romantic attraction space while the succubus exists within a sexual attraction space. The succubus ultimately is a thief of cum, while the vampire is a thief of life.
Jess Franco’s The Female Vampire had two cuts, one with her feeding on cum, the other on blood. A sad and haunting film with memorable scenes.
So maybe a sexual vampire feeds on the chemicals in the blood of their victim/partner during sex? Oxytocin, endorphines, things like that? They bite at the height of orgasm and get a rush off of the hormones, somehow nourishing them because they can't produce it themselves.
