In my town there is a fight going on to change the turning ability of one of the main streets from a right turn unto main only to a right and left turn.

the fighting seems to be between the young and old, change and liking things just the way they are.

it's quite funny.

so what's going on in your town.

ummm I think the only fighting in our town is.. Why the jail (city) pays less for Ambulance services than the rest of us do.

And the people out in the county (outside city limits) pay even less..

the lazy city not filling potholes because its "not a priority". Ok, pay for my shocks then, cretins.

Mr. Johnsons refusal to stop walking around nude in the spring and summer. Chrissakes, the man is 80.

I hate that rap about pot holes not being a priority, I am begining to believe the mayors pocket is connected to the local auto shops, so the nonpriority is filling his pockets nicely

old nude man walking the streets, that would be rude, surely there is a public decency people can place on him

No idea.. but I refuse to pay $700 for a 10 mile trip to the hospital. I'll drive before I call them again.

sounds like they are federally unionized.

you can start a petetion and work toward changing that.

call town hall and find out what the numbers are needed to bring it before them, get it and start to effect change for the better.

hmmm... this one is easy;

yucca mt. being transformed into a nuclear dumping ground,
FBI searching through our hotel for members of al quaeda,
fighter jets mysteriously crashing in the desert during test-runs from Nellis air force base,
150 accidents in a 2 day span because Vegas people can't drive in the fucking rain,

and the most frightening by far....did you know Mike Tyson lives here?

damn that last one is reason enoguh to get out of town on the first train in the morning {thats an old solng title}

I have heard about people who can't survive a change in the weather nor can adjust thier habits likewise to the change.

hope they don't find any body bad in your area, nor take any innocents unjustly. how unsafe would it be to use the mountian, as I understand if the mountians are made of the right stuff, they are apretty much the safeest place to store such materials.\, but i may have the info gafufled with some other info as well.

LAX is the number one terrorist target in the nation, and I have to fly out of there in June.

No lie. It's always scary when we have to go there and security seems to always be tight whenever we're picking or dropping someone off these days. What a pain.

The school superindentant is getting another extension to his contract, the bastard can't deciede if he wants to run a school district or a military camp....cuts money all over the place BUT will bail out a bus company that screwed all the other companies outa business and into chapter 11. :nana:

Yucca mt. actually falls on a fault line and the water table is higher then government officials originally thought so it's really a bad idea.

What's going on in my area? Layoffs and a municipal government in the red. Well at least they've started to figure out ways to clean up the Tar Ponds.

not good then, get the people together go door to door, get the people voices heard, petitions do work.

I hadn't heard about the fault or water levels, guess i shouldn't asume things on my end.

work hard fast, and earnestly things can be moved.

Let's see, the only-been-here-since-July new Superintendent of schools has already interviewed with another school district.

The school board refused to pass his plan to restructure the day for high school students, so he urged each individual principal to go ahead with the restructuring as a Site-based management decision. The school board found out about it and passed new requirements for any change in scheduling to be completed.

A high school principal has been removed from his position for threatening staff.

This weekend is race weekend in Atlanta, so i'm not really concerned about anything else, though.

well, our state's Governor just sold a huge gambling compact to the Indian Casino in my city. He has officially put a non tax paying group ahead of his constituency, and he did it without so much as consulting public opinion.

I think i'm agreeing more and more with the people who said they would flee to Canada if he was elected last november. I hear the winters in Canada are nice...

sounds like it would be a good thing to get rid of him if he is more interested in other schools than the one he is in.

got to love it when a guy doesn't get his way, then goes back hand and gets caught.

is that the principal that was spoken about on the news that is like all screwed in the head and making atatemnts about shooting his coworkers and other staff, then evaluated left at work only to be removed after the public got wind of it?

I saw Waltrip come in second making some big moves in the last 30 minutes from 6th to second.and looks to be ontop with 78 points? is he in the race this weekend. I think he drives a chevy, if he does he got my vote.

Mr. 'I'm going to rape and kill my girlfriend's daughter' was found guilty of multiple counts including murder, attempted murder and sexual assault. :D

Our school system has the potential to lose millions of dollars in federal funding because the school board won't say no school prayer. It's a tad bit more complicated than that but that's the basics.

christcat69 is right...Southern Nevada drivers are idiots when it comes to driving in the rain.

Nevada's doctors are still fleeing the state due to the high medical malpractice insurance costs. It's a lose/lose situation...I understand why they need it but it seems like they should be able to come to a conclusion very soon.

And, not in my area...a Kentucky store won a copyright lawsuit against Victoria's Secret. A court ruled that the adult store, 'Victor's Little Secret' was not like to be confused with 'Victoria's Secret'. I like that business name...Victor's Little Secret. he, he. I'd go there.

not good, i bet he is getting a nice kick back, and people are stuck in a postion to fight it and get labeled as racist bif they want to void the contract with natives, looks like he got his game plan figured out, the bastard

depends the west end of canada you can have a semi tropical winter, east end of canada cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey

The mayor and other city officials are supposed to be suing the DOE to try to prevent the Yucca Mountain storage plan. I think the Feds have already decided this is going to happen. I'll be very surprised if Nevada is able to get out of storing nuclear waste here.
