So do you have some things you would like to try at least once in your life? And here I'm referring to non BDSM experiences ;)

Some of mine are:

Bungee jumping - from a bridge in New Zealand
Skydiving
Swimming with dolphins

I'm not sure if this fits as it's not exactly a try it once kind of experience, but I've always really wanted to learn how to play the cello. I just think it's such a beautiful instrument.

Spending a couple of weeks somewhere tropical and fantastic going scuba diving every day is also high on the list. I love the ocean . . . I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was a little girl :)

if i don't walk into a natural penguin colony at least once in my life, i will consider it incomplete.

must do ... spend a week sailing in the Caribbean .. on a large-ish sailboat (about a 12 person boat)

ooooo Bunny .. can i cum visit the Penguins with ya ?

please take mr. netz to the penguins with you.

Walking on the red carpet.

i wanna go i wanna go....i got in trouble at the aquarium in coney island for goin in there with them. *sigh*

I wouldn't have thought about the penguin thing on my own, but that's sounds like a lot of fun.

My dreams are pretty simple. I just want to have the experience ONCE in my life of having the time to sit around a sidewalk cafe or kneipe in Berlin and hang out for a couple of weeks. I just want to absorb the dialect and groove of the city. I want to hang out there long enough that my German language skills are back up to full and I get mistaken for a native by other Berliners.

Out of curiosity, where did you learn to speak German?

I spent a year on a German languaged school (kinda like a bording school, but not so strict) in the south of Denmark, in the 10th grade (way way back in 1984/85). My German are very rusty as well, but I'm sure that it'll come back after a couple of weeks in Germany.

I studied German in High School and University. By the time I graduated I was damn near bi-lingual in the language. I couldn't tell you if my class lectures were in German or in English. It all ran together in my head. My notes were even a mish mash, so they didn't help. I started in 1987 and had my last class in 1994.

I figure a couple of weeks should about do it for me as well. Maybe as much as a month. The reason I choose Berlin is because I think it's an awesome city. Also, the dialect is close to what I learned in University. My professor was from Berlin so his Hoch Deutsch had a lot of Schnuaze mixed in.

yay! let's ALL go see the penguins then pop off in germany for a few weeks! i also took german in school for years, and though rusty, i can at least remember the important bits! (though i haven't yet learned to speak penguin...)

You just need to read all of the old Bloom County comics to learn to speak penguin. It involves June Cleaver quite a bit... :D

Well, besides getting out of this hospital sometime in my fucking life, I want to see Europe. I want to take a car, and travel through, taking my time to see everything. I don't want just a rush trip, I want to get to know the people and the customs, and everything.

I also want to see all of America, to drive through it. I want to see a lot, and I want to see it before my body gives out. *sigh*

live without the internet for a month o.o

Then you need to go to Kangaroo Island in Australia. No internet, No cell phone connection. The guide had a satellite phone. It was great.

I would like to write a book , make love on a beach, and see some real wild elephants.

I would like to try Berlin, Amsterdam and London if the tilt to the right continues here.

I have a facility with languages, though I've only learned romance ones and forgotten them, but I think I could manage German.

Well, that explains a lot. Do you hear voices now? How long have you had that twitch? Come here, dearie, you need intensive therapy for your trauma, I think you might have PTSD.

About 2½ years ago I was on vacation, 1 week in Holland, and one week in Spain. I was happy that I was able to visit an internet café a couple of time in both countries, just to be able to get an e-mail fix ;)

What's funny is that on the week of our honeymoon my husband and i could not make it through the whole week w/out finding an internet cafe and checkinig our email...

I know graceanne...it explains alot...and yes, i probably do need extensive therapy!

And to keep it topical, I would love to try base jumping someday.
