Okay, so now I have to pay late fees because I'm a dumb ass.

I updated my address on two of my credit cards via online. I was so happy with myself, finally doing online banking and bill paying. I honestly don't think I didn't put the correct city & zip code in the change of address, perhaps it didn't hold. Everything else I've done correctly on all credit cards whether I have a balance on them or not.

But nooooooooooooooooooooo. Today it dawns on me that I haven't seen my bills from one account I have. So I get online & realize that they are past due!!! I'm not a past-due kinda gal. I pull up the statements & viola--incorrect address, so I never received the statement. With all of the other stuff going on after I moved, I didn't realize that the billing statements never came.

The service rep was able to remove the bill from past due status, but I didn't even bother to ask about removing the late fee because I figure it may be my fault. Then again, they said they didn't have a phone number on record for me---but they do.

Oh well, lesson learned & at least it won't show late on my credit report.

he paid his bill in a very timely fashion (had the receipt from the post office and everything. the credit card company charged him a late fee on his balance becuase they hadn't received his payment. he'd sent it (from DE to NY) a week before it was due and complained to the credit card morons that it doesn't take mail a week to make that journey.

apparently, in credit card parlance, "late" actually means, "sitting on someone's desk waiting to be processed."

That my favorite Mexican restaurant is closed today! I was really craving their awesome chimichanga from there...and their salsa...mmmm!
