Why deny anyone a chance to marry....I have been wondering why people want to hold back two people from getting married....and why if the two people love each other can't they raise a family...

Personaly I could care less

Personaly I think this whole debate is disgusting. It arises not from the majority but rather from the minority. That minority is the one which wants everyone to worship their god in their manner. If you do not do so then you shall burn in hell.
As far as I'm concerned this is a personal choice. f you wish to marry, either polarity, then that is your choice. The same with raising children. Hey, if you wish to enshrine that piece of reprocessed dog food down the block and call it a god, that too is your choice as far as I'm concerned. Just don't push your views on me or anyone else.
Now as for same sex marriages being against gods wishes, well maybe it is and maybe it isn't. He/she/it hasn't told me yet, and I will only take his/her/it's word on it. Until then have a blast. Too many people say it's in the bible, but I still haven't found it yet, and I've read four different versions so far. As far as the bible goes, wasn't it written by people, with their own interpretations, then translated how many times by other people with their own interpretations? Who knows what was meant? (Reminds me of a joke I heard a while back, I'll try to reprint it at the bottom.)
Not too long ago we had the same arguments against inter-racial dating and marriage here. You can still see, hear, and feel the repurcusions from that debate.
As far as I'm concerned both the government and the church should just shut the f@*k up and leave people alone.

A novice Monk is sent to a Monastary where he will be devoting his life to the transcibing of holy texts. When he arrives he is greeted by the Father Superior who gives him a guided tour. As they are passing through one of the work rooms the young monk is struck by how industriouse the other monks are copying the parchments. He mentions this to the father superior who smiles and replies that yes they do a good job, but they are not allowed to copy from the originals, they are working from earlier copies.
"Shouldn't they be checked against the originals occasionaly?" he asked the Father, who replied that maybe that would be a good idea. He dropped the young monk off at his cell and tol;d him he would be joining him for dinner.
At dinner the young monk was surprised to see the Father Superior wasn't there. After asking around he found he hadn't been seen since the tour. Asking a few more questions he descended into the catacombs where the original texts were kept in a vault. There he found the Father Superior beating his head against the wall and moaning to himself. Pulling his chief away from the wall and sitting him down the young monk asked him what was so wrong he had resorted to injuring himself. Looking up at the young monk through tear glazed eyes the Father Superior wailed,

"The word was CELEBRATE!!!!!!!"
