Here is MY theory, based on observable facts:
In Katrina, and in the many days after Katrina, there was no significant response from the Federal Govt, especialy FEMA, other than W cheering on from west Texas, saying "heck of a job, Brownie". The locak US Coast Guard did as much as any federal agency, and they did it ON THEIR OWN.
In Sandy, from the monent the storm passed, the full focus of the Federal Government was focused on the storm and on beginning efforts to help people.
In Katrina, for how many weeks after the storm did New Orleans struggle to have even basic services in the city?
After Sandy, within a couple of days, MUCH of the NYC systems were starting to function. NOT ALL, I'll agree, but many.
President Obama returned FEMA to a PROFESSIONAL AGENCY, not a haven for political hacks.
Counter this with some facts, if you've got any!

Of course it would have absolutely nothing to do with the government fucking up big time during Katrina. If Bush had any balls he would have done something about the situation. But being the over grown frat boy he is, he allowed others to make the decisions for him and they fucked it up royally.
The buck stops at the top Right? At least that's what you been insisting for the last four years. So face it, GWB screwed the pooch, fucked the dog, bit the big weenie. It wasn't his first or worse.
Regan & Bush Sr. were both pretty good presidents. There were some things I didn't agree with, but they did a rather good job of administering the country.
But that can't be said for Jr. I believe history will record the GWB administration right up there with, or worse than, the Harding administration. He and his handlers put the fucking country at risk, by both making terrible decisions on some things and doing nothing about others.

Sandy was not a hurricane.
It is classified by National Weather Service as a "Post Tropical Cyclone" which is a downgrade from a hurricane.
This is important for homeowners insurance reasons.
Good to know.

Hurricane Sandy Victims to Obama: “We Are Living Like Animals.”

The trail of devastation left by Hurricane Sandy has been long and trying for those still overcoming setbacks.
An estimated 300 residents in Hicksville, Long Island, took to the street on Saturday protesting the Long Island Power Authority at its headquarters for ongoing power outages 12 days after the storm hit the area — the second protest against the energy provider this weekend.
There are still over a quarter million New York customers without power. As of Friday more than 170,000 of those customers were on Long Island, many of them staying in temporary shelters.
More than 500 angry LIPA customers in Oceanside staged a similar protest at a LIPA news conference on Friday saying the energy provider was giving them the run-around and they wanted to know why, CBS reported.
Many of the protestors were chanting ‘LIPA sucks.’
Electric utilities have taken heat for being slow to restore power throughout the region. For a large number of those without power, no electricity means no heat, hot water or hot meals.
New Yorkers also faced their second day of gasoline rationing under a system introduced in New Jersey last week, in which cars with odd- and even-numbered license plates can fill up only on alternate days.
