I was at the time as well....here's the painful story. I was in Navy boot camp at the time. You are not allowed much time for basic duties of hygiene and the like, and they LOVED giving sudden and unexpected orders to form up. They did it at the most inconvenient times as they can create.

naturally, since we were in the military and expected to respond to emergencies in the blink of an eye, boot camp gave the "lessons" for how to do that. They'd create emergencies just to force you to react instantly. Like when I was using the sit down toilet.

You HAD to move immediately. I tried to take time to clean myself and got screamed at for not moving. So, I literally was trying to run and pull up my pants at the same time. I had a very short distance to reach the stairs and was being "watched" to make sure I didn't hesitate. So, while I got my pants at least up to my waist as I ran down the stairs, I hadn't zipped up yet. So, while wearing boxers, I tried to zip while running.

Ummm...errr...I was sort of forced to stop running....:D
