Holy shit, you'd think he was God.
US to spend $200 mn a day on Obama's Mumbai visit
Mumbai: The US would be spending a whopping $200 million (Rs. 900 crore approx) per day on President Barack Obama's visit to the city.
"The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit," a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said.
About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments.
"Except for personnel providing immediate security to the President, the US officials may not be allowed to carry weapons. The state police is competent to take care of the security measures and they would be piloting the Presidential convoy," the official said on condition of anonymity.
Navy and Air Force has been asked by the state government to intensify patrolling along the Mumbai coastline and its airspace during Obama's stay. The city's airspace will be closed half-an-hour before the President's arrival for all aircraft barring those carrying the US delegation.
The personnel from SRPF, Force One, besides the NSG contingent stationed here would be roped in for the President's security, the official said.
The area from Hotel Taj, where Obama and his wife Michelle would stay, to Shikra helipad in Colaba would be cordoned off completely during the movement of the President.

You know I love ya but do you really want to get into a chat about presidents wasting money? I'm not very fond of Obama but show me evidence of one president who did not enjoy the luxury granted to them. If you have a problem with it perhaps your concern should be voiced to those who allot his budget.
What Are the President's Salary and Benefits?
By Jamie Wilson, eHow Contributor
George Washington made $25,000 annually, and paid his staff out of pocket.
The President of the United States makes a moderate salary, when compared to others in similar positions around the world. In fact, most top CEOs and company presidents make significantly more than the president. However, the perks and fringe benefits are outstanding, ranging from perpetual bodyguard protection for the rest of his life to a variety of expense accounts covering everything from entertainment to travel.
Currently, in 2010, the President of the United States receives $400,000 per year in taxable salary income. This was increased in 2000 from $200,000 so that it was not less than the vice president's salary, which is pegged to cost-of-living adjustments like other government employees instead of being mandated by statute.
Official Expense Accounts
The president has several expense accounts, none of which are taxable. The general account is $50,000 to use as the president sees fit. Additionally, there is a $19,000 entertainment budget. He also has access to a $1 million "unanticipated needs" account to be used for official purposes.

Travel
The president receives free travel on the modified Boeing-747 designated Air Force One. He may also use Marine One helicopters and the presidential limousine for shorter-distance travel; the limousine is sometimes transported via military planes to official destinations. The president gets a $100,000 travel account for him or his designees to use for travel expenses not otherwise covered.
Benefits Associated With the Presidency
All presidents live in the White House free of charge, and are allowed a redecorating budget to create a space to their tastes. In addition, most of the art available in the National Gallery may be borrowed to decorate the White House. The president and his family have access to Camp David, a Naval installation functioning mostly as a presidential retreat. President Thomas Jefferson laid down an excellent wine cellar still used by the executive office. The president also receives free health care for himself and his family through the U.S. military system.

Who Determines the Presidents Salary?
Glad you asked...
In the case of the President of the United States of America, it is Congress that determines the president's compensation. As of 2001, the president's salary is $400,000 annually along with a $50,000 expense account, $100,000 travel account and $19,000 entertainment budget.
