The Writing Blurt Thread

Anybody ever used or understand Lulu.com? If you have, explain it to me.
I haven't used it personally, but I do have a friend who has...You need to format your work to their format and then submit it...the guidelines there are fairly good and explain things in a fairly straightforward manner...It certainly allows you to see your work in print, but you are entirely responsible for the marketting of it...The only thing I have to caution is that you will have to make a very hard choice between keeping the price reasonable and making any money off of it...There also are potential issues if you ever seek to get the same work published through other means...

Here I am, writing my story, thinking I have this unfortunate tendency to paint human nature a bit too dark. But no.

"Gosh" she said "If you follow that thread you're gonna wind up unravelling the whole thing."

Andrew was unsure if she had meant to pun that way so tried another tack and said "What if I just publish in 'Science Today' and wait for responses?"

"Then you have to think deeply about the down time and the murky water you might be stirring."

"Are you punning on purpose?" he asked outright.

"What?" she answered "You think a feather brain like me could go on flights of fancy like that?"

Andrew pressed the off button.

My story doesn't want to settle into its universe!!

BAM! BAM! BAM!

I thought you were still playing the innocent and pretending not to know about these things?

I have been museless for almost 6 months.

Aside from the almost daily writtings for the Misty one, i havent written jack except 2 poems (which actually im very happy with those as its the first time i wrote poetry in 2 years...).

My point is that i havent continued any of my 'beginnings' (of which i have about 15!!!! or any of my multiparts...

*screams*

:(

i'll be able to write again when i should be doing other things...i know it...like exam revision...just like last year.

*groan*

I'm so close to the ending. And it's so tough to write. I feel like I'm walking through waist-high sludge or something.

set yourself little targets.
Make yourself write, say 50 words, then go do something fun or different at least.

I've been tricking myself into doing 500 a day, but if you're really stuck then set smaller targets.

Failing that - come back on here and whinge some more, which'll make you feel a bit better :D

Thanks very much for the encouragement  I'll have to alternate writing with doing the dishes and the laundry, but that's okay. Let's see how far I can get today.
