You've heard of Oulipo writing, right? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oulipo

Probably the best example of this (it's actually readable) is La Disparacion by Georges Perec which does not use the letter 'e' anywhere in the story. Given it was written in French, this means the words "mere" and "pere" cannot appear - both the author's mother and father were killed in World War 2. The Spanish translation leaves out the letter "a" instead of "e" which is, frankly, mind-blowing.
