Great idea. I'd go with a husband who's inattentive and not very thoughtful. The kind of guy who wouldn't notice something she's changed about herself or is unimpressed with something she's accomplished. Maybe she's doing this weight loss as a way to get him to pay her more attention. But as she starts to look better he gets grumpier because he's still chubby and out of shape. She's making him look bad and feel bad about himself.

Finally they argue and he admits it. She tells him that the answer is obvious. He should get healthier and lose some weight. He replies by saying he shouldn't have to, he's happy with his lifestyle.

This angry and tense atmosphere at home makes it just that much easier for her to indulge her fantasies, when the trainer says something like, "You look fantastic. I wish you were coming home with me." She sees in his eyes that he's being completely honest and sincere.

Love this idea, but I'd go with the husband being encouraging and attentive. In fact, he joins her in trying to improve himself as well. Because of their schedules they can't work out together but end up using the same trainer. So for the trainer it's business with the husband, with the wife it's something more. She at first ignores his flirting, but eventually finds his interest flattering and gives in to her desire.
