The Whole Age Thing

There have been posts that have regarded age one way or another lately and Ive just have had some questions come up in my head.

I'm an 18 year old male and i was wondering are younger guys really that attractive to older women? I never seem to draw the attention of older women in public, online I draw very little attention. Im an attractive guy (Ill post pics soon enough) but is there a certain thing that does it?

Also on the other side of the spectrum, how many younger ladies use this board? Ages 18-22 for example, I'd be curious to know since I really don't see many or maybe Im just missing it.

I don't generally think of myself as an 'older woman'... I'm 28. And I have to tell you honestly, that I tend to think anyone under the age of about 23 is a kid. Maybe because I have sisters that are between 18 and 22, I don't know.

There are life experience issues too. I find it very hard to believe that someone in that particular age group could have all that much to offer me and my children. (No offense intended) You're not old enough to do a lot of the things I enjoy, and you haven't seen enough of life to 'get' where I'm coming from.

Now, if I was looking for a boy toy...

i'm 19/f
i'm kinda on the fence about this age thing. i've never felt very at ease with people in my age group. i grew up extremely fast, and though i can be silly and immature for the most part i have difficulty connection with those my age or younger.
all of the sexual relationships and nearly all of the romantic relationships i've had were with people at least 3 years older. my last girlfriend was 6 years older than me. however i think an imbalance in age usually brings an imbalance in power that can be unhealthy.
argh... i'm just babbling. i need to sleep. this board is like crack!

As I said in the other thread age doesn't bother me that much. At 18 I dated a 28 year old, and with my grandparents aproval. I have had online/phone affairs with men in their early 30's, just as I have had one with a 17 year old who's mother has no problem with my age. Though the 17 has made me nervous, more so when he flat out told his mother my age over the phone one day but her answer simply was, "She can not help it if she is 22." Love doesn't have a age limit I think, but there is a risky line that shouldn't be crossed. Many people wouldn't agree though......

Mistress - Before I came to college the only problem my mom would of had is that you would be able to buy alcohol, college has a way of making that problem no longer important

Hey, some of us older guys can do that too - about once a week.

Morover, our experience shows in the quality of our work.

Seriously, TC, older women than yourself, that have settled down, often want more than just a young body; they want various other things like someone who can help provide for children, someone who shows maturity, stability and experience.

They don't usually see those qualities in an 18-20 year old man. Give it some time, there are probably plenty of women your age who will date you, and as you get a bit older, show your stability and show you have a career other than a bus boy or oil change monkey, you'll become attractive to older women.

I can't speak for everyone but I just prefer older men. I'm 28 to Draco's 37, and I love it. I feel more secure with someone a little bit older. I have dated younger guys in the past, but I too find that they lack experience that turns me on.

Now this must have had some subconscious affect.I found over the years that older women make me uncomfortable.

I am 38. I can usually relate better to men in my own age bracket or older. I am almost to the point that I just want to talk with men over thirty.

That is not to say that I don't have men whom I enjoy immensely who are under 30, there are a couple. But for the most part, I just seem to have more in common with older men

I always wanted to have sex with a mature woman (40s and up)when I was in my teens and early 20's but face it, there aren't a lot of prospects for the activity. Women in their 40's are mostly married or interested in relationships that aren't just about sex but include material support and companionship. What can you offer a 45 year-old divorced mother of three at 18? A very hard dick? Gee, she's never seen one of them before.

Wait until you're 24 and have a little change in your pocket and then go hunting for a "mature" woman, they'll come out of the woods faster than you can fire. But by then the allure might have worn off on your part.
