Where you lose track of what day it is and what you're supposed to be doing.

What have you been up to?

gs!

I have been cleaning and catching up on all the stuff I should have doing but did not do. Brought some work home with me because I am a loser and should not have. Changed oil in the car. Split some wood. Slapped around some hookers.

You know, usual vacation activities.

catching up on sleep, chatting with H, rewatching all things harry potter on tv, eating and drinking good things, enjoying this rare time off work without being ill, making lists, and tomorrow taking the at-homes by taxi to their meeting with the council at the studio flats they've applied for which pretty much means they'll be moving in by february, fingers crossed :D

howabout yourself, chirpy girl?

Today I went to Nottingham for the day with my best mate. Did loads of bookshopping with my birthday tokens, bought a lovely bracelet, some flash cheese and other goodies from the deli. Had a gorgeous meal at a tapas bar and drank ginger bellinis. Best day of the week hands down.

I was just telling Kate it's been very hot down here. Yesterday we spent the whole day poolside. Diving in to get wet, and then retreating back to the shade for sandwiches and watermelon. Plenty of SPF 50, but woke this morning to sore shoulders and tan thighs.

I worked Boxing Day and the 27th to help out a bit, but won't really get back into it until next week sometime.

Today I might do a bit of shopping. I've made a reservation for dinner tonight. A Brazilian place in town, so looking forward to that.

So for me it's just been eating and sex and cuddles and stuff with the kids, movies and swimming. I'm happy. Relaxed.

Today I had to cancel my 8am call to watch the little one has she had a nail appointment.

She said she told me and I agreed, but I will have to take her word for it.

I rescheduled it for noon.

Then I found out the cable guy was coming at noon and I had to run home for that. Cancelled call again.

Once again, she said I knew this already.

Sometime I think it is not my memory as much as her taking advantage of the fact I do not listen by pretending she told me.......

and the day is almost over and I have still not gotten a outfit for the Great Gatsby News Year party I have known about for weeks.

Three weeks ago I imagined I was going to go find and buy a killer 1950's suit.

Now I think I will say fuck it and just wear my tux.

I like the slapped around some hookers part. :)

It's ok to bring work home sometimes. Just not all the time because sometimes it makes you old and boring and grumpy and the hookers start missing the slaps.

What an awesome day!

Today G worked from home and i went to yoga and it was essentially a notmalish day with G working from here on something that's been causing some hold ups. Lots of post came, including a little sale shopping I had done online yesterday and two pairs of my woolly stockings :) pony barn got a deep clean, as did the chicken housing. Just...stuff :)

Bit of this and a bit of that. It's good you got some yoga in. I like to exercise every day. Keeps me sane. Productive.

Yes. All good things.

Where is the crozzled old whore then?

Hunting and with the hounds for a few more months. She said she'd stop in but not often.

That's what she told me anyway. I think what she's really doing is plotting to get rid of all the children in her territory, and that her passion is to do away with them, one by one.

I still want one of her stinky hunting hounds.

Do you hunt?

Do you hunt?

I do. Have not been big game hunting for years. I enjoy bird hunting. There is nothing like hunting with a Labrador that is finding the birds. Kbate's hunting? I have no idea. Never tried it. Hounds are amazing dogs. That part of the sport I would enjoy.

You should message Kate. Say hi and all that. I'm sure she'd love to hear from you. :)

I developed a migraine on Boxing Day, and with the exception of a few hours here and there where the drugs have kept it manageable I have spent the last 3 days fighting it - dark room, anti-nausea meds, painkillers :(
Haven't had one this bad for a couple of years.
Hoping to be back up and semi-normal for New Years.....

What have you been up to?

My kids are here from mid December till right after new years. Normally, we are cramming as much time together as possible. Lazy days at home, watching movies, cooking, building rockets... We all know it's the last week until early June, so there is a looming sadness always. At least on my part. We laugh and make fun of each other, kill one another on the Playstation, play ridiculous board games that require us to stand up and sing or say and act out dumb shit. Drive to the airport.... Say goodbye. Come home, get drunk and break down. Hello New Year... Fuck off.

That's what we do :)

Not much. Currently just staring and drooling over the Lotus. I should buy a lottery ticket tomorrow.

Boo for the migraine! I had a nasty one last week where I went and got a toradol shot just to get out from under it.

And my week has been spent working; however, that wrapped up today. I plan on taking down the Christmas tree tomorrow because I didn't want to put the fucker up in the first place.
