The Warm Fuzzies Game

Alittle over a year ago a dear friend of mine sent me an email...
She used to work with small children and in the course of doing so participating in an activity called "The Warm Fuzzies Game"...
Her explaination was as follows: "It's beyond trite and its simplicity is what makes it genius but it is basically turning to someOne and telling Them something nice You see in Them."

The list that she made for me stopped me in my tracks... to this day I still get damp eyed reading it... so in the words of my friend Kat... without further ado...

I love how you know what I mean when I say that I am turning on Carly. I love that our hearts are so close that its okay when you know that mine is bleeding everywhere and you just hug me. I love that your smile comes through in your words. I love that you have so much within you that you don't know is there yet.

Auntie Mat

One right back atcha - i admire how you walk in the sun, unafraid, unashamed, just being yourself. You're there when i need you, and back away when i can't find words. You're tender, but still strong, and it makes you more beautiful than you know.

That and the war stories aren't too bad, either.

Lucky and Vella- I love you both because you're so fabulous, so strong, so loving, so full of heart. You've allowed us to be part of your journey, and watching it has been encouraging to all of us. I can't wait to meet you both!

Cloudy- I love your warrior's heart and your loyalty and kindness. We don't know each other as well as I would like, but regardless you offered me kindness and help when I needed it and asked nothing in return. You're a true friend, and we're all glad to know you.

Scarlett- I love lots of things about you! I love how generous and kind you are (though you like to pretend it's nothing). I love your sense of humor and your kinky imagination. I so hope I get to meet you! (plus I know you'll give good spankings!)

Yui- When I first joined lit, everyone was in awe of you, but I didn't know you at all and didn't know why. Now I do. You're fabulously funny and flirty; you're the best drunk I know. You're a loyal friend with a warm heart and I'm so so glad to know you.

Mat and Min- I love you both! I love that you've gotten a chance to know and love each other and let us all have a little boy of that joy. Mat- so many times you took the time to pm me with a little note of praise or comfort, and your kindness meant the world to me. I'm so glad we got to talk, and I can't wait to meet and hug you both!

Rob- I love seeing you here everyday. You've had a rough time of it, but you carry on. You've comforted so many of us, encouraged us, patted us on the back. I'm honored to know you.

Carson- I you! You reached out to me and shared a piece of yourself, and I'll never forget it. You're the only person who has ever made me wish (for a few minutes anyway) that I were a gay man.

Like Imp said, I'm not good at 'giving the warm fuzzies', but I thank you, Lizzie and Sophia, for your incredibly complimentary words. I've been told I take compliments very badly, and have to work at saying 'thank you', rather than huffing and puffing. So thank you both.

My thanks go out to all the AH-ers, who from day one of my arrival, have made me feel welcome, made me feel part of the family, listened to my words, be they serious or just plain silliness, supported my suggestions and writing, and tolerated my occasional rants on the correct use of the English Language. My life would be as nothing without all of you. Meeting up with some of you has provided very definite highlights....especially one particular woman.
