The Walking Dead

I think he may be. He could have grabbed Nicolas' body after they fell to use as a shield. Sadly, this would still leave him on his back surrounded by a swarm of walkers.

That's what I hoped but I guess they wouldn't fucking miss him would they, they'd been baying for ages. Poor Glenn. I'm gutted. Maggie has lost everyone.

Well what have we learned about trying not to get anybody killed? Can anybody tell me what would have happened if the hopalong kid and Limpy the Maiden had stayed in the store making all kinds of noice while everybody else casually strolled away?

This was terribad, plot armor critical fail. And here my money was on Carol but no all you Assassin's Creed bastards had to out vote me. Well everybody it's been a good ride. how will our other friends survive? Will they all survive to see Rick return. Will Carl get horribly disfigured? Will zombe Shakespeare team up with a zombie racoon and attack the Guardians of the Galaxy? Find out next time. Same Bat time. Same Bat Channel.

Why wouldn't they miss Glenn? I was more stunned than gutted.

As for Maggie, I think she's gonna lose it and go hog wild on the Wolves or the Alexandrians.

No I mean the walkers wouldn't miss him hiding under the wanker.

I think its denial rather than brilliance!

Actually it's more about how story writing 'generally' works. It seems that the last then Glenn did before he went down was pull a knife. Now if that fucker is on top of him and thus the guts weren't Glenn's (I honestly thought it was but I'm realizing I may have missed where everybody was physically) then how did Glenn and Rick survive S1E2?

Could he still be alive?

I'll be fucking furious if he is. As much as I liked him that would be such a bullshit move for them to pull.

Having said that, I did hear that he will be back in some way (although I have no idea what that means).

Flashbacks or walker praps?

Flashbacks or walker praps?

They didn't say (I heard it on the Talking Dead after the show).

The gist was some version of Glen or parts of him will be back.

They talked about the possibility of him escaping but there would be no way he could with all those walkers surrounding him.

That was my wife's response when I suggested to her that that he may have covered himself with the other guy.
But as I recall he was screaming and he'd know not to do that if he was trying to pretend to be a walker. Also it wouldn't be walker blood on him but dying man blood which would attract them.

Holy shit you're brilliant. I'd have to go back and rewatch some of the end but Glenn may still have a viable play left!

No, he wouldn't.

He was completely surrounded by walkers and even if it wasn't his blood, he was still covered with human blood. The walkers would smell him and never leave the body.

Plus there were walkers on the other side of the fence as well. His only play would be to crawl under the dumpster which might save him for a few minutes.

But if that's the case it will be cheap and unworthy of a well-written show.

There are a lot of zombies around him, just keep stabbing for the gut and get covered in non-human blood and guts. We've established a number of times that zombies are essentially made out of tissue paper. Real knives do not go through skulls as easily as these guys make it look. And we know that zombies don't react to other zombies. (But they occasionally keep eating dead corpses indefinitely so. . . meh.

The truth is Glen is dead and gone but I do see at least one viable way out. The other is simple dumb luck and or us having lost count of the dead. Him under the dumpster (if he can fit) coupled with someone we lost count of earlier making a ruckus wouldn't be any LESS stupid than Daryl surviving last year. And this from a "Kill Daryl and I'll make my own Walking Dead. With hand puppets and ketchup" person and even I was groaning last season.

I knew as soon as Rick shut that thing off it was done for.
Unless he does something stupid he should be fine. They can't get in the RV and he has the radio. All he has to do is be quiet and they'll wander off, or he can wait until someone comes looking for him and leads them all off.

Glenn isn't dead. It's not the mid season finale yet.
He will worm his way under the dumpster covered in dead blood.

Have you ever looked closely and that kind of dumpster? No way he could get under it.

When i was watching it I was saying to myself, "Get in the dumpster, get in the dumpster!"

I got no reason to think he's still alive other than it's not typical of them to kill a main character in that way...alone, not definitive, possible future zombie. Just isn't their style most of the time. Still possible. I could see zombie Glenn showing up and trying to take a bit out of Maggie but that's also sorta cheesy.
In the comic he is killed by Negan but it's also right around this time that it happens sooooo...

Anyway, whole thing has a Jon Snow feel to it.

Inverse anybody can die at any time. That's just reality. Narratively as is pointed out that's such an odd way to die. He doesn't need to die with Maggie watching but he needs to die with SOMEONE watching so he's officially dead for the group as a whole. Not someone they are hoping shows up next week with a wacky tale.

Hollywood dumpsters might be higher off the ground than normal ones and a sufficiently loud noise could draw them off. Though if he survives I'm betting on him gutting a walker and just kinda not dying.

Michone gave a clue too (or am I really just a hopeful fool) when she said "Have you ever been covered in so much blood that you didn't know if it was yours, or walkers', or your friends'? Huh?"

It's an outside possibility that it was a double clue. But Michone gives that speech to brother with the dredlocks. Then when they are crossing the river they take a long moment out of him staring at his bloody reflection with the clear implication that he now grasps what Rick and Michone were talkinga bout.
