The Walking Dead

I think the writers wanted us to hate Carl after this episode, the little snot, I was rooting for the zombie to get him. They have to kill him off pretty soon, probably the end of the season cliffhanger.

Poor T-Dog, still only a handful of lines, I thought for sure they would give him some lines about lynching.

So the blonde hottie with the smoking bod, used to be a civil rights attorney.

I hate that little brat.

After that episode if they hadn't killed off Dale I would have hunted him down myself. What a fucking whiny old asshole.

I'm soo relieved that Shane didn't have any zombie-like symptoms after using the same knife to stab a zombie's skull and then slice his hand to smear his own blood on the bus last episode.

That said, this was my least favorite epi of this new season. Last 12 or so minutes were decent but the previous = blah.

Mr. Moral Compass had one duty, right? Looking out for walkers. But he couldn't hear blades of grass crunching or the labored breaths of one right behind his ass out in a quiet meadow?

Mama Lori has one in the oven but doesn't realize when her son Carl is missing for hours?

A noose? A fucking noose?

No kidding. He makes Hershel look like a real man by sitting on the sofa with Maggie not even commenting on what needs to be done to Randall. Just looking to their left....

But, but, but, he was the moral compass of the group.

"But if we kill our prisoner, it means that civilization is over!" As if the plague of corpses trying to eat you didn't already drive that point home to one's satisfaction.

I actually hoped Dale would live, whiny and irrational as he could be. He represented a point of view that's now lost on the show, in the absence of any new cast members.

Carl isn't any dumber than I was at that age, but he still pisses me off.

The thing with Carl wandering off all the time bothered me a lot. All that bitching about staying safe and they let the kid play deep in the forest that is known to have zombies. Then they let him wander around the barn during an execution.
The whole episode was poorly written.

This was the first episode that has bored me. I turned the TV off after Shane told Carl to stay out of the barn.

So I take it Dale was killed by a zombie, someone executed the guy in the barn and Carl almost bit the dust, again?

Dale bit it, they didn't execute the guy because Carl butted in and Carl is just an overall snotty little brat.

Dale was ripped open by a zombie, Daryl put him out of his misery.

The prisoner got a stay of execution.

Carl was a stupid kid, found a zombie, taunted it, let it get free, and didn't tell anyone about it, and that zombie ripped up Dale.

I think their sense of security sucks. Tents, fire in the open, lights on at night.

Poorly written. Exactly.

I really only check for writers at the beginning of 'Modern Family' so when I see a name like Danny Zuker, I know for sure it's going to be excellent seeing how he's the Exec. Producer/Head Writer.

Tonight's 'Walking Dead' totally lacked the writing skills we all got spoiled with the last few episodes.

P.S. Carl wearing all black during his zombie taunting, ooooh. What a concept.

With the exception of Dale dying, tonight was a complete write off

I don't think Dale was on guard, I think he was leaving in protest. He was walking away with determination after all.. just my opinion, mind you

Why the hell was Carl provoking a zombie?

Should I just try to find the episode online? Is it worth it?

If Darabont were still in charge we wouldn't have episodes like this.
Ok, we probably would but they'd be more kick ass in their lameness.

Hon, you just typed that you turned the TV off when Shane told Carl to stay out of the barn... because you were bored.

Now you are interested?

It gets rerun a few more times.

I didn't hate the episode as much as some here, but I also never believed they were going to kill the prisoner, so it kind of made the prospect of a big debate on the subject pointless.

Pretty much the same thoughts...it was a filler episode on series that doesnt have a regular season's length to have filler episodes

I think the writers were trying to make us hate Carl, so we won't cry when he gets eaten by zombies.

I should be a survivor in that group.

I would be the immoral compass.

While getting the hanging rope ready, I'd ask Andrea if she likes being tied up naked.

While helping Maggie in the kitchen, I'd ask her if she wants to do it on the counter.

While listening to Lori bitch, I'd wonder what I could stuff in her mouth.

While interrogating the prisoner, I'd ask him about the babes in the other group.

But, that's just me.

Daryl got it out of him... 30 men and the story about some of them raping teen daughters already. One urinated on the floor of that bar, you think they'll be compliant?

Hershel even said he doesn't want that for his daughters.

Call me a shitstain but I was hoping Randall had been shot to death directly in the forehead. Thanks for ruining that, Carl!

For those who have read the graphic novels.. an idea came to me.. that Merl is still alive and will be the show's version of the Governor

I just saw an announcement of who they cast as the Governor, it was some Brit, but it isn't Merle.

Merle is almost certainly alive. No other reason for the ambiguous nature of his "death." Plus he's a name actor and the role just didn't call for that unless he was coming back.
