I was a bit surprised to see so many had commented on the story - thanks for the feedback. While it's not my first story, it's my first one here at this site and I only presented the first chapter to get a feel for the process here and to "test the waters" of this environment. Again, I'm happy with the feedback - and for those that were man/woman enough to not post anonymously, please keep it coming.
Since I do most of my writing in transit, the typos are from typing on my iPad. I will clean that up better for the next submission.
I know a few of you all were a bit ticked/put off that I only published one chapter, but again, I was testing the process; the rest will be posted in a few days or so. I have a couple of other stories that I'll be submitting as well (all finished) and I hope you can provide feedback on thise as well.
