Representative Tim Ryan (D-OH), running for the open U.S. Senate seat in Ohio, said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the “exhausted majority” needed to “kill and confront” the extremist Republican movement.

He continued, “Some of those answers will come from Republicans, not the extremists that we are dealing with every single day. We’ve got to kill and confront that movement, but working with normal mainstream Republicans, that’s going to be really, really important.”

I don't see what's objectionable about wanting to kill fascism and white supremacy. That is what Ryan was saying. At no time did he ever advocate for violence against any person.

President Joe Biden remains silent after Democrat senate candidate in Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan called for Americans to “kill and confront” supporters of former president Donald Trump and his MAGA political movement.

“We’ve got to kill and confront that movement,” Ryan said during a Tuesday appearance on MSNBC when asked about the “extremist” political movement in the Republican Party to “Make America Great Again.”

Biden, a frequent critic of political figures using “dangerous” rhetoric used to “incite violence,” has not addressed Ryan’s comments.

How many leftists attacked the Capitol after this speech?

Out of context, off the cuff, innocuous comments vs gun toting political advertising strategy. The promoters of violent imagery in politics are not the Democrats.

Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii said she was issuing "literally a call to arms" against the pro-life movement in a speech on the Senate floor Wednesday.

Hirono ended her speech with the odd call to arms.

“Madam president, I yield the floor, but clearly, you know, this is a — literally call to arms in our country, I yield the floor,” she concluded.

Many on social media took the comments to mean that Hirono was encouraging violence against those who oppose abortion rights in the country. Despite President Joe Biden claiming that he would work to unite Americans, dozens of attacks on pro-life centers and churches have been documented since the overturn of Roe v. Wade.
